I learnt the hard way about not having a good enough toolkit a few years ago. I was moving a trailer for someone and had a blowout, no problem the trailer had a spare wheel, jack and wheel brace. I got it jacked up and the wheel off then found didn't have a 22mm spanner to get the spare wheel off its carrier. Those steel shackles can be very dangerous if they come loose, I saw the after effects once at an off road event. A vehicle had got well and truly stuck in the mud, so to get the tow vehicle on solid ground they'd linked two kinetic tow ropes together with a hefty shackle. Away the tow vehicle went, the kinetic ropes stretched building up the energy to snatch the stuck vehicle out of the mud. the rope attached to the stuck vehicle broke and the hefty shackle went through the windscreen of the tow vehicle and out of the back window. Fortunately missing the tow vehicle driver. At least with a soft shackle if it lets go it hasn't got the weight to kill someone, it'll hurt if it hits you, but bruises heal. Have a look at Matts off road recovery on UA-cam, they put a lot of faith in soft shackles and pull vehicles out of impossible places using them. Love the electric jack, I'm off to order one right now!
With a work arround from uk to Amazon Dutch I put all item in my wishlist, Thank very useful stuff I did not really think of yet whist I am converting my Peugeot Boxer 👍 thnx John
Think Spanish laws change on 1st Jan 2026 and have to carry the v16 connected geolocation beacon for when you breakdown, maybe a bit of a video to cover it as don’t think many are aware. Love the 12v jack
If that link is the right one, that’s not a kinetic rope. I have one, it’s a brilliant tow rope but it should not be used to snatch recover a car. The elastic in the middle of the webbing is the try and help stop dragging the rope on the road and make it harder for the car getting towed to run over the rope.
The jack is the heaviest, the items links show each individual weight. Though I’d forego quite a few luxuries before giving up on breakdown & recovery gear.
Sometimes external factors can just mess up your plans, unless you don’t own & drive a vehicle in which case you don’t have to worry about all the other drivers on the road, or maybe you don’t want to help others out if they get stuck.

I'm sure you have one but you didn't mention a fire extinguisher! Fire safety sticks are worth a look as they are compact and light.
I do have a fire extinguisher, I hadn’t thought of it as part of a breakdown & recovery kit. But I guess it’s a vital emergency item 👍🏻

That’s the link to the rope shown in my video that I’ve used many times over many years and it works like a bungee.
