We need a meta budget deck for Standard. I have already played your blue deck, and it is by far one of my favorite decks. I have tried quite a few from the community, but I haven't been very convinced so far and unfortunately, I have only a few wildcards left. Please create a nice deck for us, mono-colored, two-colored, surprise us.
Thanks for the breakdown MTG Dad :) Yeah interesting how different the length of sets are. I thoroughly enjoy OTJ, it was easily the most fun I've had drafting this past year of playing Arena. But Bloomburrow being much shorter in comparison is still weird to get used to.
I'll admit that I like the shorter mastery pass bc I'll occasionally take a break from arena during a mastery and I hate having to catch up when I get back. Also yay, I get a set (Duskmourn) for my birthday! Not specifically looking forward to it, but whatever, there's some neat cards in it so far
I like the condensed pass, the last one had too many levels that felt like empty space. The playset is nice but I dont buy the current set pass to get cards for timeless and of course id rather it be wildcards but I wish it was a playset of a standard legal card or planeswalker.
i'd much rather have the format to choose the card styles, rather than being locked into a tree/color line. You generally only play like 3 or 4 of the 25 cards previously, so you could only get 2 useful card styles if you don't have mastery pass.
@@Javigarcia222 the green orbs only get you card styles or sleeves, not the actual card itself, with the exception of the Sorin planeswalker that isn't Standard legal. Other than that, just pick whichever ones you like the look of, it doesn't make any functional difference.
@@garyrice3338 if you mean the mythic ICRs, they're not wildcards, they're a random mythic card from the set. Sometimes the animation that shows you what card you got doesn't show up, so if you just look at your collection page, you'll usually see the card highlighted with 'new' written above it.
I'm trying to do the real F2P experience to buy the pass and i wanted to know what do you think is better for farming gems -the standard event Or -Quick Draft ?
Standard events and Quick Draft are pretty similar in terms of farming gems. If you're just deciding between the two, it depends on which event gives you a better win rate. If you have a top tier standard deck, try that. If you are better at drafting, try quick draft. BUT... if you're able to get around a 50% win rate or more in drafts, it's actually almost twice as good to do Premier Draft instead as you get 1000 gems for 3 wins and the rewards keep scaling up from there.
What do you reckon would happen if you already own a few or even all copies of this Sorin and spend the orbs on it? Gems, mythic rare wild card (doubt it) or naught? Either way, thank you for the detailed breakdown.
@@gameschooldadMTG That’s most likely it. Please don’t waste your wild cards on a Sorin who should be locked away in a coffin and forgotten. Unless it’s bugging you now, of course.
I wish they gave mythic wildcards instead of ICRs. There are hundreds and hundreds of Mythics, most of them are nowhere near playable in any constructed format, and even if you do get one you want, youll still need 3 more.
Those rewards are only available (and visible) to those who have been playing arena for long enough to experience the set rotation and get the renewal egg. They're nothing special, but if you haven't played for long enough you don't get them
I always win but my master pass stops after so many wins and I have been stuck on the 15th level and I have been winning but I haven’t gotten the xp to move to the next level in the mastery pass

It’s a good mastery pass, especially 4 Sorins (remember last mastery pass we got 4 copies of the Comanders too). That being said, whoever thought it was a good idea to take one black mana off of “Murder” to create “Fell” needs to be removed from the playtesting group until they understand game design.
@@gameschooldadMTG yeah, but even then, it's powerful for a sorcery that does that. Also, there are plenty of ways to give it flash with a splash of white or blue. Feed the Cycle is nicely balanced though. I think that one is very fair.
@@gameschooldadMTG I think the biggest problem they have now is that white/black on Arena can basically stop everything effortlessly. I have legit stopped doing any ranked anything because it is nothing but me, playing an Izzet/Simic/Grull deck, and sitting there doing nothing as someone plays a Black or White mana deck and either kills everything, or locks down my entire board the entire game. That mid-week event took me more than 75 matches to win three games, because 72 of those matches it was my red/blue versus red/white or black/white and losing by turn 6. I don't think they realized the level of devastation that Bats or Mice/Bunnies would do to this game. The new Bat decks basically boil down to "I hope you have creature kill, because otherwise this white/black deck is going to drag you screaming into the abyss." It has really boiled down to "Play Historic..because it's fair".

I have never burned so many gems as in OTJ, by far my least favourit draft set since all will be one... hoping for bloomburrow to be better for me 😅😅

Play Explorer, its meta changes with new sets coming out but your decks never go illegal (except for those Karn decks, RIP prime green devotion)
One question(I am new), what is the best way to spend green orbs? Do I get the cards if I buy the "skin" or I have to have those cards?

Question did you do the Math for those people that finish the pass they will unlock everything with the Orbs??
There are 37 orbs worth of rewards in the emporium. 5 orbs come from the free track and another 32 are available on the paid track.

@@ryanedwards7487 Fell is cheaper because it's a sorcery. We'll see how much it gets played compared to alternatives like Go For The Throat.
