Of all of the Tennessee Whiskey reaction presentations, your insight was the best and most informative. Many of the others I have watched was of humor and craziness. Thank you, Mr. Franz.
Stapleton is kinda unique to country right now. Most of the other country singers are just stadium country artists with little artistic skill. Stapleton is good, his voice has a classic sound to it and he's a good guitarist.
It's because he has so many diff. textures and sounds in his voice. Also, he incorporates many diff. genre together when he sings. Blue grass, Southern rock, country, soul etc. His instincts as a singer-songwriter is a natural gift. Many artists train for decades to achieve such feat and never get it. 🙂
Chris says he has a very big stage fright and that is why Morgan his wife's sing with him she's the one that convinced him to start singing he says he was so scared to go on stage Chris Stapleton's own words
Great breakdown of actual vocal techniques. Chris is one of my favorites. “Sometimes I Cry” is one of his songs that really showcases his mastery of vocal techniques. I’d recommend Marc Broussard. Possibly “Let Me Leave”, “The Beauty of Who You Are” or “Lonely Night In Georgia” would be good to break down. “Home” is his most well known song by far and it just jams. He’s a Louisiana boy like myself so he gets bonus points for that.
Has anyone ever suggested that you react to the A Capella group Home Free? If not, you should check them out! 4 lead singers, unmatched harmonies with 4 world class voices and the best beat boxer on the planet! They're AMAZING!
You have to listen to Chris Stapleton song- “Death Row”! You will be amazed the way he is Sangin” not singing but “Sangin”!! Mind blowing vocal and music to go along with the imagination of being right there with him listening to his stories!! It’s a OMG moment!!
I’ve watched so many react to Chris S. (on this song and a few others) and this was, by far, the most technical. While most reacts were “amateur”, I did watch at least a couple other voice coaches and all the reacts had a much more emotional response...with thoughts/opinions on quality and genre. Technique and tone were not ignored, just not upfront as, ultimately, the heart and soul response. Idk, just an observation, I wasn’t expecting it.
Hey Carl, love me some Chris!! Great review. You should try "Barely Alive" when he was still with the Jompson Brothers. Took my breath away. Have a lovely evening.
"What are you listening to?" "More Of You" "Fire Away" "I was wrong" "Either way" "whiskey and you" I could go on and on. If you really want to hear the power in his voice listen to one of these.
I’ve loved Chris Stapleton for quite some time. Happy to see this reaction video. You’re one of my fave reactors to watch, esp when you review/react to Morissette :) Speaking of which, Wish Bus just uploaded a new vid of her singing “Shine” today…would love to see you react to that as well! Hope you’re well!
Man you look like you are just going through the motions at this point. I almost feel like a simple computer program could be written for the amount of emotion you put into this video.....
A silly question about singing... (because this song is a perfect example of what kills me) The songs I like to sing, the songs I want to sing, are the songs that really touch me. How do you keep your emotions sufficiently in check to even get through a song like that? Even when I'm alone in the house when I take up a song like this, in my and heart, I'm singing to my wife. Before 60 seconds goes by, I have virtually lost my ability to draw breath. I am very far from having a great voice. But I really mean it when I sing. How do I mean it a little less?
A question is the southern accent easier for British people to pick up right away than other American dialects? I see it often in movies and it makes me wonder.
I will watch anything in the category kpop and country! love your coaching, and explaining. If you havent heard it already i would love to see you react to Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood singing Remind me Live. An also to more from BTS
Seems like Chris really pushes his voice A LOT. at 4:08 he normally takes that note higher and there are live videos of him out there doing it much cleaner. He's said it before that he really strains his voice often cause he can't help putting his all into every performance.
f you really want to blow your mind at how great this cover is - listen to the original song by David Allan Coe in 1981 or George Jones cover of it 1983 Chris Stapleton's version is so superior to those ones you will shut them off half way through them. BTW, the woman singing with him is his wife.
hi Carl, thanks for nice videos. again innocently requesting pls keep mic voice little lower or reduce the treble bcz the song voice comes quite nice but your voice is so loud which hurt ears suddenly when you speak up. goodluck and pls keep watching decent poems and songs from Pakistan, thanks again.
Hi. This is my first reaction video of yours I've seen. It was great. Could you please react to the accapella group Home Free. Man of constant sorrow. And auld lang syne.
I noticed that you have done some reviews of Pentatonix. I’m a big fan. There is another a cappella group I have become aware of recently that are also fabulous called VoicePlay. Another group with an amazing bass. They have done a version of Tennessee Wiskey ua-cam.com/video/yjdDbtXau8k/v-deo.html I also highly recommend their version of Moana ua-cam.com/video/4nM5JZ6DL_U/v-deo.html
Yo. :) Hi, Carl. Please react to Dalton Harris' original song from the recent XFactor UKtour "Guitar Cries". I think you will be impressed. Or anything from Dalton is wonderful. Hope you are doing well.
Lol, all the vocal coaching in the world won't put you on the level of Chris. Anyone that is attempting, sounds like they're acting. Some have it and some don't...
I think I go to all chris Stapleton reaction videos just to hear other people reiterate how amazing chris is!
Ain't that the truth? It puts me on the floor every time when the Stank Face hits. Usually within the first few notes.
I do this to! lol
I do the same things. I have enjoyed all
Hey! Me too!👍👍
Of all of the Tennessee Whiskey reaction presentations, your insight was the best and most informative.
Sir Gavanator I miss the days when talented artists ruled country! We had Travis, George, Alan... Talent was actually required to make it back then!
His voice is amazing in his solo performance of Barely Alive....he and Morgane do a hauntingly beautiful cover of You're My Sunshine too
I got to say you're probably the best vocal coach who's doing these reaction videos! So much great tips and not just saying how good the artist is :D
My guitar instructor used this video to teach me to play the whole song. So this is the first song that I learned to play.
Chris Stapleton I Was Wrong Live at austin city limits. And Sometimes I Cry live at the Bing lounge. They blow this out of the water
Thank you for making your true that reaction a mixture of technical ability and soul. Keep on, young gentleman.
I appreciate that you comment on diverse genres! "Aggression combined with finesse." Well said.
Yes this!!!
Chris says he has a very big stage fright and that is why Morgan his wife's sing with him she's the one that convinced him to start singing he says he was so scared to go on stage Chris Stapleton's own words
Its called soul.

Chris is from Kentucky
I listen to him every time I can over and over..my guinea pig sways to his music
😀
Love Chris Stapleton and this song
Dude you make really good videos that make a ton of sense.
Has anyone ever suggested that you react to the A Capella group Home Free? If not, you should check them out! 4 lead singers, unmatched harmonies with 4 world class voices and the best beat boxer on the planet! They're AMAZING!
If he throws Pentatonix in there too, I'm good for a long time. I really love both groups.
You have to listen to Chris Stapleton song- “Death Row”! You will be amazed the way he is Sangin” not singing but “Sangin”!! Mind blowing vocal and music to go along with the imagination of being right there with him listening to his stories!! It’s a OMG moment!!

Sound of Silence, Disturbed, Conan version.
He’s got the voice of an angel and a devil.
Yeah you have to listen to the Sometimes I Cry live version, it is truly magnificent
Just say he's awesome! We already know it to be true. 😎
Hey Carl, love me some Chris!! Great review.
You should try "Barely Alive" when he was still with the Jompson Brothers. Took my breath away. Have a lovely evening.

I'd love to see you react to Avi Kaplan's new song, Change on the Rise.

"What are you listening to?" "More Of You" "Fire Away" "I was wrong" "Either way" "whiskey and you" I could go on and on. If you really want to hear the power in his voice listen to one of these.
I am a recent subscriber and this has to be BY FAR one of my favorite reactions you have done! Not including Hozier and PANATONIX 💖💖

Is it just me or Carl really looks like John Wick? 😕
This has a lot of Blues in it....different from country.

Love Chris. Reminds me of Leon Ruse try listening to A Song for You and Tight Rope by Leon
Tennessee Whiskey was written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove in 1981. First recorded by David Allen Coe.
Ron Hunter... but much different than the original and definitely being to his wife.
@@jharris3759 yes it is very much different George Jones also did it
Small nitpick: Americans don’t pronounce glass as gloss, so his pronunciation is proper for the states.
Thanks coach!
Man you look like you are just going through the motions at this point. I almost feel like a simple computer program could be written for the amount of emotion you put into this video.....
Why I stopped making reactions decided it's not for me xx
@@Kid.Poker33 Cheers dude, I'm slowly getting there this year doing a lot of work to improve, it's time to really show people what I can do.
Really like your reactions and analysis.
Many thanks Carl!

I am very far from having a great voice. But I really mean it when I sing. How do I mean it a little less?
I would've loved to see him and Chris Cornell do something.
ok, maybe I'm crazy, but he reminds me of Joe Cocker but with more range...
Joshua Duncan nope, not crazy at all. I can hear it too.
A question is the southern accent easier for British people to pick up right away than other American dialects? I see it often in movies and it makes me wonder.
Doubt all that thought was put into his singing, that’s just him.
