Are you sad these scenes and songs bit the dust in Bohemian Rhapsody? *FULL Bohemian Rhapsody playlist here!* ► ua-cam.com/play/PLi8DA5V4mmmd4_mqJfsr9D__0Q7ws7kgR.html
Flicks And The City oh yes that’s in fact one of my favorites. Like Ren said for blue-ray it would be great. I usually don’t buy DVD’s but if the scenes were in that I’d 💯 buy. So good idea
Yeah, it's really weird. They make a fuss about that producer complaining about Bohemian Rapsody being too long to be released as a single and then Queen do it anyway and it's a success. Yet, when it comes to the movie they make that very same mistake...
@@mrspidey80 Actually that was said about that song. Not by the character in the movie because that character actually didn't exist but There were concerns about the length of that song.
If this movie is four hours long with all the deleted scenes in place, I would still be willing to watch it. Would love to see the deleted scenes in their original place in the movie.
There are plenty of biopics that turned into "mini series" with two parts, I feel like Queen surely could've had that and should've. I'd like to see more of the other guy's stories included for instance.
The length of a movie and/or song being "too long" is a great thing, for myself. If it's got ahold of my attention "that long"....then its a damm good movie or song.
I’d actually go as far as saying that “too long” is a huge part of the real band’s legacy seeing as how most radio in the 1970s would have deemed the song too long yet today it’s played on rather high rotation (at least here in Australia it is).
I saw it opening night and had an absolutely moving experience after. After the movie ended and the credits began to roll everyone in the theater got up and began to file out. Then they started showing real footage of Queen at a concert and every. single. person in that theater stopped dead in their tracks and watched them on the screen. Standing on the stairs, in the aisles, and at the exits they all, we all, stood mesmerized watching them play on that stage decades ago. And when the footage ended the audience erupted into cheers and applause. I openly and joyfully wept. He has been gone over 20 years. That footage was decades old and the very moment Freddie appeared we were all struck and our attention was so easily and readily given to him! He’s still, after all this time, an absolute show stopper. He took absolute command over an audience despite reaching us over a vast expanse of time. It was so moving to see how timeless a person can be that love for them and their art can live on indefinitely. It touched my heart and stirred my soul. Definitely gong to see it again💕
I saw this film opening night in Erlangen, Germany this past Saturday. I took my 2 youngest kids along and they loved it. My daughter kept on hitting me, Dad stop singing! I'm originally from NJ. During the ending credits in a sold-out theater, everybody remained seated til the end watching the raw film of Freddie with the 2 songs playing (Dont Stop Me Now and the Show must Go On). I will never forget watching QUEEN during Live Aid when I was 15 on MTV. The Greatest Live Rock Act to ever to be recorded on film. Prost/cheers from Bavaria. Whenever this comes out on Blue Ray, I'm definitely getting it.
I really enjoyed the film and could've easily watched another 2 hrs. I thought the casting was brilliant. Kept forgetting it wasn't Brian May on screen, but Gwilym Lee ❤️
I’ve seen the film twice now and i never forgot that the person playing Freddie was not, in fact, Freddie. Rami Malek did a fabulous job, but physically, he did not look enough like Freddie for us to forget that he was not Freddie. The actors who played Brian May and John Deacon looked much more like them
I am a 66 yr old grandma of 10 , I LOVED this movie . I laughed .I cried and I sang along quietly . I am going back and taking a couple of my grandkids. This was a great movie and I would love to see the deleted scenes . His personal life was his own, I was thrilled with Queen's music and all the actors were exceptional !
You were right in that age group that comprise the original Queen fans. I'm not at all surprised that you'd go see the movie. Our generation produced some of the greatest music of that century.
I agree with everything said. ...and yes, I sang, stomped, and cheered at the ends of songs! :) I'm glad they deleted the scenes as everything felt just right, but I will happily watch them many times on blu ray! :)
Ima grandma too and I just went to see this yesterday. Best movie I have seen in a very long while. Had to go home and listen to all the music, and I was singing along in the theatre!
Chris B Same but I don’t know how I would have felt seeing that scene being played out with both singers being gone meaning Freddie and David. So I think the way they did put the song in the movie was a better way to go.
Considering Mercury had a bad throat at the time (and was told by his doctor NOT to sing at Live Aid) which contributed to his vocals being harsher (more gruff) sounding than usual, which is exactly what hard rock music needs, I’d agree with you.
I went, alone, to see Bohemian Rhapsody on Thursday, the first night it came out. I have been waiting for years and it is finally here. It was fabulous and I think the actors portrayed the band in a most believable way. My first Queen album that I bought was News of the World when it was first released and I have been a fan ever since. Freddie was a bright star that burned out way too soon, I miss you and all the possible music you could have made!
I think the guy who plays Roger looks exactly like him too! Amazing isn’t it??!! It made me feel like I was back in hs watching this! How could anyone not love it!❤️❤️❤️ Freddie would be so proud of this biopic!❤️
💯I.M.O💯 Brian May had the perfect hair and has such a kind attitude in the movie. 😊 John Deacon waa freaking adorable😣on the movie and I mean that is pretty self-explanatory cos emm... Deaky is adorable. They captured his essence very well. Roger Taylor was a little baby😂 they really paid attention to detail with him and he is such a lil child. As for Freddie himself, he was captured amazingly. I just feel like at moments they could've added a teeeny tinnny bit more personality and detail! Overall he looks alike and sounded, acted alike!😀 Okay, they look alike🤔but the fact their voices and personalities are so accurate in the movie makes it so real! 😊
They should have at least kept the scene concerning how John Deacon joined the band. After all, he is an integral part of the group. (He also built the amp that helps give Brian May's guitar its unique sound) Here's our review: ua-cam.com/video/f3vMrnD2Lbk/v-deo.html
Agreed, I really don't think including maybe a 5minute scene to introduce one of the band's core members who just appears from nowhere would have slowed the movie down any. Bad decision.
I went to the premiere at Wembley and the cast came on stage and said the DVD will include extra scenes that were not shown in the film. I personally loved the film! It made me laugh, cry and sing. I'm going to see it again soon! Edit: 1K likes! Thank you so much!!
@@martaagnieszkaz1498 I can't wait to see it again tomorrow but it was such an amazing experience watching it at Wembley arena. It's my hometown anyway so it's just up the road lol
I loved the film and have watched it 6 times. I think Rami Malik was superb. This has inspired me to want to know more about Freddie Mercury. He was such a gifted writer, musician, composer, singer and overall talent. I also love the friendship he and Mary maintained. Great movie! Rami deserves the Oscar!
Why limit it to just 3 hours?! They could have turned it into a 5-season series and still left out SO much. I'm scared to see the film.. been waiting 7 years for it to come out.
Exactly!! I saw "the Revenant" ,which was 2 hrs 36mins (felt like way more!!) ,this could have easily been condensed ,but "Bohemian Rhapsody" i could have happily sat through another hour.So many great songs to choose from too:)
I thought the movie was amazing. The whole cast was truly remarkable, but I especially loved the small attention to details. The Live-Aid performance could not have been more spot on from the arrangement of the cups on the piano to Rami so eloquently mimicking Freddie's dances/mannerisms. Hell, Rami even did the little tongue flick and danced with the cameraman! Everyone who helped bring this story to life and capture the band's essence from the set to the costumes, to the actors themselves, they all deserve praise.
I saw the movie yesterday and I had a huge surprise, I laughed, I cried, I clapped, I sang ... wooow ... Rami Malek really made the role of Freddie of his own, actually all of them made a great job!! :D
@@joshmerrel8846 ... oh that`s fantastic!! I was affraid of singing along and so because security could kick me out of there LOL!! ... I like Def Leppard too... is not Queen but ... remember , both bands were good friends !!!
I usually get pretty antsy at the movies. Wishing about half way thru that it was almost over. None of that with this one! It flew by and completely captivated me. Peace Freddie 😘
I am a director, editor and writer and respectfully, it's impossible to try and pack a whole career into an entertaining biopic like this without chopping somethings up, that is with every single movie ever made if it be a true story or not. When you also have the remaining band on board guiding the film, they get final say what they want, given they only have a certain time frame to work with. People today want net flix and mini-series type shows where you get to see something step by step over several long episodes and seasons, you can't do that in a movie. It's always a stigma with these kinds of things. Same happened with Basically any rock biopic as well. People always go "NOPE! that didn't happen there!!" ofcoarse it didn't, Live AID's performance complete was a good chunk of the movie if shown complete and we expect to have the whole 20 plus mins? The art of filmmaking is taking a story and getting people to join the ride, but it's usually only under 2 or 3 hours depending. The directors and editors did a fantastic job with so much information, they had to pick and choose, that's how a movie is made. Now people can go out and watch Live Aid and all of the other things, search and discover on their own.
Every Queen fan complaining about the chopping needs to read the part of your comment about the band - the ACTUAL BAND - signing off on *everything*. That, alone, is rare to have as a lot of biopics are about people who are dead, sometimes with no descendants, family, or friends alive to tell the real story to the filmmakers. Brian and Roger approved everything, right down to the script and casting. Sacha Baren Cohen didn't get the job for a reason. And the final film version as we see it was released for a reason. Real Queen fans should consider themselves lucky, appreciate this great piece of film, and, frankly, stfu. (Can you tell I'm tired of seeing dissenting comments?) Your comment should have more likes and be posted below every single 'Bohemian Rhapsody' video on UA-cam.
Totally agree. The only bugbear to that is that all the timeline-shifting and cuts make laypersons think that it really happened that way. It's a film - not a documentary. If you approach it on that basis, it's all good.
i’ve been a fan of queen for pretty much all my live, but recently i’ve been obsessed. i’m 13 years old and from london and freddie mercury has always been my biggest inspiration, since i aspire to be a singer/songwriter when i’m older, i feel i can relate to him a lot! it’s really disappointing because queen aren’t as appreciated as much as they should be at this generation which i think is honesty so unfair since they are legends and they created music like no other. since music and freddie mercury is my saviour, when i found out they were filming this i couldn’t wait!!! rami malek is just outstanding (i watched the film today!) and he is now my favourite actor, i have literally been watching past interviews of him for the whole of these past couple weeks! he is amazing and the whole cast was chosen so perfectly it’s crazy! Bohemian Rhapsody is honestly my favourite movie now and i don’t usually cry in movies, but i was literally just sitting the the cinema balling. To be honest, i genuinely could sit and watch the movie for an hour or two longer, it was just so good i can’t put it into words! unfortunately there’s been a lot of bad reviews about it, but i just think people need to understand that rami wasn’t meant to exactly COPY freddie, he was just meant to make an impression/ take the essence of him hence why he had a movement coach rather a choreographer. i definitely think the movie was as good as it could have been, and rami did a spine-chilling good job! i think it was a great idea to make this movie, so this generation and next generations to come can truly indulge in queen and freddie mercury, it’s what it they deserve. -sasha, love your videos! :)
I hope you achieve your goals,I'm 13 too and Brian May is my inspiration I hope one day I can play guitar just like him. Me and my mate formed a band called BeyondXI ,XI because we formed it when we were 11 good luck in the future.
I am disappointed with one thing in the movie. Leaving out the part how John Deacon join Queen is a big mistake! John is an important part of band history and he also wrote many number one hits. They should have shown less Mary Austin and add John's entry, forexample that moment in the Biba Mary puting make up on Freddie and dressing him is completely unnecessary. I am going to wait the 5 hrs movie I hope John Deacon is better featured in the longer movie.
The scene with Mary applying make-up to Freddie was important to show how Mary understood, or at least perceived, Freddie's inner conflict about his sexual and/or gender identity, and she was encouraging him to be himself. That scene is not superfluous and said much about Mary's character and why Freddie was drawn to her.
I don't think there was too much of Mary at all. The movie was a biopic, predominantly about Freddie, & Mary was a very important part of Freddie's life. He left her his house which shows how much she meant to him.
I don't think they'll do that given the trouble they had with directors on this film! 😱 But I do think we'll see at least some of the deleted stuff on the Blu-ray. 😊
@@marinagonzalez6634 Bryan Singer was fired from the production for bad behaviour on set and Dexter Fletcher had to come in and take over and finish the movie.
I am a younger fan of Queen. Born in 1970 I didn't hear Queen until the 80's. I loved them then and I have become obsessed with them now even more. Queen will forever live on! R.I.P Freddie
I watched the Movie together with my mum because she is a huge Queen and has been forever. So I sat there being almost the youngest viewer in the movies enjoying every song humming and or singing to every single one. It was just amazing.
DEACON SCENE SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN! They kept wanting it to be more of a Queen biopic and less of a Freddy Mercury biopic. Which is what I think didn't make it a 10/10 for me. They left out deacon (a big thing for a Queen biopic) and kept the Freddy and Jim scenes brief (Freddy biopic)
landt smith I agree with you.. They should have included the Deacon scene and some scene with Jim. and I also would like to have the scene where Freddie ask Mary to bury him somewhere no one knows but her.
They're apparently releasing an extended version but it makes sense to cut down the theatrical version to appeal to a larger audience. A lot of families with small children were there when I went to see it.
Best movie I’ve seen in years. Polished performances from all the cast but rami Malik shines like a supernova. Blown away and want to see this movie again. Brilliant!
Saw this movie last night with my daughter for her 16 birthday. We loved it so very much. Amazing, well done. Bravo. It moved us so much. We laughed and cried. It touched our souls. We want to see it again and again. The whole day was preparing and listening to Queen. We had to take a drive after and listen to Queen because we were so pumped up. It is all we talked about since. We are forever changed. Truly a work with love. Brilliant. Well done. Thank you for magic.
My partner and I just saw the movie two nights ago and we literally sat through everything including the credits. The movie wasn't long enough in our opinion. Cant wait for the DVD!
Im a queen fan. I remember watching the live Aid in ‘85 on television. I was 19yrs old. And will never forget it. Watched the movie last night with my family and it was amazing!!
Throughout the entire film my eyes kept tearing up, but the last scene had me bawling my eyes out it’s just such a beautiful movie portraying Freddie Mercury’s art ❤️
I saw this movie in the cinema yesterday and it was absolutely brilliant. Queen is an amazing band, and i think the actors portray the band members excellently. It was a great film and of course the songs were brilliant. Thanks for the video as always! :D Ps: my favourite song in the film was bohemian rhapsody. One of the best songs in history :)
Oh, yeah, gotta love Bohemian Rhapsody song! Have had pretty much all the songs going through my head constantly since seeing the movie! :-) Lovely to know you enjoyed the film & my video! :-)
I saw it too it was brilliant Mr Mallick was excellent he looked and danced dangerously close to him it was almost seeing him alive again freddie would be proud i know i was
I have now become obsessed with Freddy Mercury and Rami Malik! I’m seriously addicted to this music. I’ve downloaded the movie on my cable. I’ve bought the BLUE Ray DVD and I have purchased the soundtrack and I’ve been listening to it for months! In my car! I can’t get enough of it. The movie just spawned my curiosity about Freddy and the whole band. No, I don’t need an intervention. This is a very healthy addiction! This is exactly what I needed to pull me out of my depression from losing my husband recently. Thank you so much!!!
i Just watched Bohemian Rhapsody yesterday in cinema and now i cant wait to watch the extended version with all these deleted scenes!! Queen is certainly legendary!
i really enjoyed the Live Aid scene, especially the Ay-Oh and Radio Gaga fan interaction...can remembering watching it on porch in '84.....i wheeled the TV out(you could do that back then) and watch the entire two concerts. At 14, it was soooo cool.
It was the hip thing to talk about at school. It made rock mainstream and allowed me to go to my first rock concert, because rock was finally validated. My step-mom would've never let me go otherwise. Rock was the devil's work prior to that, and videos were satanic.
I was working at a summer camp and we had the weekend off. I went home with another counselor and watched pretty much the whole thing. If I had been home I would have never been able to see it. We didn't even have cable. Just an antennae on the roof! My parents refused to pay something like $4 a month for cable.
I read something where Roger and Brian felt that they only had the right to show the Freddie that he showed them. To embellish upon that would be unfair to their memory of Freddie. That makes sense to me...the scenes with Mary were included because of you noticed the rest of the band were friends of Mary’s as well (at that time)
This movie is absolutely incredible! I’m so proud of everyone behind the process of making this happen and work. I’m rooting for Rami to get a Golden Globe nomination (AT THE VERY LEAST). If he goes all the way to the Academy Awards, that would be amazing. I also love this channel. Keep up the content :)
I am a huge queen fan and this movie meant the absolute world to me. It is so well shot and all the actors, especially Rami Malek. So talented and the just wow.
Watched the movie yesterday and I was blown away! The acting was brilliant and the whole production...I went home amazed with tears of sadness and of joy! Wish the movie was even longer ^^
I saw the movie yesterday,it was fantastic. One of the greatest movies I have seen. I might go again tonight and re-watched it. Im 16years old and listent to Queen, always and forever. Rami was truly amazing. Great video Also Are we the only ones that started clapping along We will rock you in the cinema?
I also saw the movie the other day (Monday). The movie is more about the band itself and the music than about Freddie. If it was about him, they would have gone into depth about his character, parents, relationships, creative process, how he handled being AIDS positive, etc. It was still fun seeing Queen recreated on the big screen, and Malek does a good impression.
I'm so jealous with u all who watch it.. I'M DYING TO WATCH THIS MOVIE BUT I HAVE NO ENOUGH MONEY FOR NOW TOO SEE THE MOVIEEEEE..WHHHHHHHYYYYY!!!!!!!! 😥😫🤧😤😭😭😭
Celebrated my last day before going on a soft-foods diet that comes with getting your wisdom teeth out with eating a large popcorn at the theatre yesterday and crying my heart out. I’m a huge Queen fan and when I heard Rami was playing Freddie because he’s one of my favourite actors and Freddie is one of my favourite people!!!!! This video was really awesome and thank you for making it, I’ve been voicing my concern about the songs missing from Live Aid since I stepped out of the theatre, although I still really enjoyed the movie. One thing that wasn’t’ mentioned was Queen’s additional performance later on in the Life Aid concern of “Is This The World We Created”. Overall thanks for the video and Boh Rhap was amazing!!!
I search every night after work for QUEEN footage that is new to me. 41 years in, Mr. Mercury will be my Forever Love of my Life. I love you, i miss you, There can be only one, and that ONE is you Freddie Mercury. Good thoughts, good words, good deeds. Such a kindness. His soul is Made in Heaven. His Love is without boundaries.
I was in complete and utter shock from the movie. I am only 16, but I am a hardcore Queen fan. I have been excited for this movie since September 2017, over a year before the movie’s release. I had endless countdowns, I constantly read updates about how the film was coming, watched interviews, studied up on the cast and many, many more things. To see this movie brought to live on Friday was incredible. The friends I was with while watching it noted how when they’d look at me, I’d just be smiling. I can honestly say in that moment, I was just feeling pure, pure happiness. This movie means so much to me, and meant so much to me even before it had come out. During the movie, I smiled, laughed often, cried a couple times (especially at the end), and sang along to some of my favourite songs. I even found out my voice was mixed in to the Live Aid Bohemian Rhapsody performance because of my submission to putmeinbohemian.com. Definitely so, so special. It was an amazing experience. I’m already raving to see this movie once again. I’m going on Sunday to see it with my family, and I already even have plans to see it a few more times with other friends. I will never forget the experience I had while watching this movie and I absolutely cannot wait to watch the deleted scenes, it’ll be a great addition to my love for this film. My new favourite movie, hands down.
And thanks to New Generation Fans like you. Queen's Music will live on throughout the ages. Be sure to tell your kids and your Grandkids about Queen also.
I just saw the movie last night and it was a fabulous movie. Rami did an outstanding job and I'm constantly blown away by how much Gwilym Lee looks and embodies Brian May. The whole cast did a phenomenal job. Rami portrayed Freddie's life in such a sad and lonely way. It was heartbreaking to watch him be so alone. It gave me new understanding of the lyrics to his music. I can see how so many bands since Queens inception copy their style in performance. Queen really set the stage for their style. When Freddie/Rami tells his band mates that he's sick, that's just beyond moving. To know that so many like him didn't seek treatment because of the stigma the disease had at the time, it's just heartbreaking because it was only like 2 years after his death that the cocktail came out that showed true signs of prolonging life for those affected. I wish Freddie could see the impact his music has had on music over the years. I think he'd be truly touched.
I loved this movie and understand why it was edited the way it was. However, it would be great if there were an extended version with those deleted scenes.
As a fan I was skeptical when it was first announced as Sacha Baron Cohen was attached to play Freddie, after seeing Rami Malek all the doubts I had disappeared. Yes it could’ve been longer, but that comes from a place of love & not wanting this journey to end. It’s beautifully & respectfully done. As it should be
I personally think the film was enjoyable although not all accurate.... the actors were spot on and the music was perfect and they addressed Freddie’s sexuality very well... seeing the movie on the opening day was awesome because there was me.... a 18 year old surrounded by elderly folk who were happy to speak to me about seeing queen live... all in all this is so far my film of the year
I don't think of myself as "elderly" and like a lot of people I still feel 15 inside, but I was lucky enough to see Queen on a few occasions during 1973-76 and met them twice in 74. It is so amazing to see so many young people enjoying them and getting turned onto their music. I do hope it inspires young people to go and pick up a guitar or other instrument but also to get out to some live gigs in small venues where these bands all start out. Without the venues and new bands rock n roll will be doomed. Glad you enjoyed it, it is very close to the original experience.
CASBAHMMP hahahahaha sorry for saying elderly.... the cinema I was is had those who were about 70-80 so I wasn’t stereotyping 😂 just saw the movie again today and it’s so good
I'll take the full version please!! I was lucky enough to see Queen three times in Vancouver B.C. and loved every moment of it. The third time they opened with Jail House Rock if you can believe it, then right into the rock version of We Will Rock You. When Freddie passed I thought we'd never get another chance to see a performance, but here we are with the closest we'll ever get again, so to quote Freddie "I want it all, I want it all, I want it all and I want it now!"
This movie is one of the coolest movies i have seen in a long time. I went for my grandpa's birthday, and he loved it. I had liked queen before but watching the movie made me realize that i absolutely love them. The actors were phenominal and every new scene had me excited. I loved this movie, i hope to see it again.
The actors were perfectly cast... they all resembled their real life counterparts it made you feel like you were ready to cozy in with the band. Bloody brilliant!
I am of the time where I watched Live Aid broadcast when it originally aired. I was gobsmacked by the great performance in this movie. Thanks for giving us a backstage look at the film and what we missed,
I never wanted the movie to end. Give us the option to watch the theater and the extended- then throw in real footage, real Live Aid. I bet 95%-100% watch every single moment about Freddie and real Freddie too. Just such a wonderful thing to see his life. I am grateful I now know all this. He’s such an inspiration to just live by your heart- no matter what anyone else says. Freddie lived by his heart.
Really enjoyed the movie. Oh my gosh the casting was so so good. Brian May..I mean c'mon. No way they could have done a better job. The costumes, sets, and the details I really enjoyed. Great to revisit so many great songs! It absolutely broke my heart revisiting Freddy getting AIDS. He was lost entirely too soon. Way too many others lost as well. I was fairly young when the AIDS crisis came around in the 80's but I clearly remember the horrible times that the gay community was blamed entirely for the epidemic. Just horrible.
I was born in the 90s so never understood why AIDS was blamed on gays... was it because more men were being diagnosed at first than women or something like that?
@@elmoblatch9787 It is important to remark that anyone should be aware of the risk, as the virus can infect any person. However, what you state is correct. @@PrimyFritzellz it could be, but just for a special blu ray release, im sure fans would have loved to sit through a 5 hour movie about the band happily, i for one would have sit through 6 hours if it was the full story without anything cut out, but i know their reasonings, could have been a bit longer like the lord of the rings etc though, or made into 2 films on a 10/11 year era for each movie
Michalina Długokęcka Yeah. It’s Mike putting the entirety of Game of Thrones on the big screen for only on feature-length run time. It’s an entire legacy that has to be narrowed down to two hours. But, to be fair, for the legacy that they had to narrow down, they did a really good job.
I spent the last 6 months waiting for this movie and it was worth it ! This movie is wonderful and me feel so much things. When the movie was over and their musics started to play during the credits, everybody in the theater stayed and just listened and that almost got me to tears. Thank you Queen
Yup, my audience yesterday wouldn't leave either until the credits were completely finished (and then some). The ushers were cleaning the aisles around us for the next showing as we were still wiping away tears.
I wanted to see them perform, "I'm In Love With My Car". When they started making fun of it in the movie, I thought for sure that meant they would sing it.
I’ve seen the movie three times and I still get covered with goosebumps throughout! Soooo many favorite moments but I absolutely LOVE the camera pan at Wembley... how is starts with an aerial view, drops down, then zooms across the crowd towards the stage... it’s like being on a simulator ride!
Yes! I loved how they made several jokes about it and kept bringing it back, and the fight they had over it, hilarious. That and recording Bohemian Rhapsody were my favourite parts. Definitely the beginning of the movie had us cracking up before it got darker.
Loved the movie. We're gonna watch it again, next week. Until then I'll keep watching Queen's Hungarian Rhapsody concert from 1986 (it's on youtube, thank me later). Freddie was a LEGEND.
@@TheTrueMichael They had a concert in Hungary in 1986, filmed the whole thing, it's on youtube under the title '1986 Hungarian Rhapsody Live in Budapest 2012 Remastered'. It's their full concert from that day. From start to finish. With extra bits, like Freddie wanting to buy the Hungarian Parliament and them trying Pálinka. I know it because I'm Hungarian. I grew up watching that concert. Search it. It's amazing!!
Being younger, I had heard queen music and liked it, but never felt anything more. Watching the film open new feelings for me about queen, and now every song I listen to tells me a story and projects so much emotion about what they were all feeling, even if it was just a snippet of what the were feeling. Brilliant 💕
it was such a huge bummer that during that later performance, of such an appropriate and beautiful composition, there were all that the mic's died and there was all that sound engineer conversation to be heard
dogroferifno “Is this the world we created...?” That was a great song and great performance at the Live Aid show, i wish they could show all these performances in the movie
Freddies voice was not from ths earth, God has speaks to us thrue him. Freddie will be forever immortal in our hearts... He was and is the QUEEN. "Queen - Live AID 1985 Full Concert (Best Version)" @
I sometimes wonder if God gave humans the ability to create song, sort of like we enjoy birds singing...people such as Freddie were the birds that sang to amuse God himself?
@@nicksixer I hope the god you are referring to is Ahura Mazda or the prophet Zarathustra, because if Freddie believed in any religion, and I don't think he was, he would have been a Zorastrian. So I think Ahura Mazda gave humans the ability to create song.
Towards the end of the movie after Freddie gets back with the band, they mentioned that they’re all going to be queen, that remains an iconic detail due to the huge amount of effort and creativity each member invested in every song
Absolutely amazing. I have listened to Queen since a little girl. I am soo grateful they made this biopic and that I am being able to watch it plus I'm like a 80's nostalgic girl and this made me love it more
The film was absolutely spectacular! I’m so glad my dad introduced me to Queen when I was younger so I’ve been lucky enough to know his music. I’ve seen the film once and I’m going again in a few days😂😂💗💗✨✨
There was actually three songs missing, as Freddie and Brian went on stage again in the evening to sing the ballad Is This the World We Created, a song with a message that fitted perfectly with the purpose of the concert. However, the performance, although brilliant, was spoiled by two sound guys who didn`t realize their radio mikes was connected to the cameras (or something like that) thus creating the tragi-comical situation of one of them blasting out "so you still can't hear anything on the radio mikes Dave?" in the middle of the performance. Ending the show with We Are The Champions gave Queen their ultimate victorious ending, but ending it with Is This the World We Created could have created a much bigger socio-cultural impact.
Torstein Rizandro Bakketun Best Kyte I cannot remember if is this the world we created was included all along for Freddie and Brian to do at the end of the night or was it something they threw in there last minute because queen was so popular that day? Do you know?
Well, one page say that it was an extra number, but I can`t get much confirmation of it. Here`s the rest of what I found: "This is often the forgotten song of Queen's Live Aid performance: everyone remembers their six-song main set which catapulted them to fame, but it's easy to forget that Brian May and Freddie Mercury came out later into the evening to perform this song as a duo, before joining in on the final ensemble performance of "Do They Know It's Christmas?" to close the show, featuring most of the artists who had performed on the London stage as well as Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, who had organized and curated the show."
for the last week I have been watching every documentary and interviews about Queen and I have become really drawn to Freddie's life, I felt sad about alot of it, but I am so glad that the band endured and became the legend that they are, he is greatly missed
I've heard quite a few people say that. Studios are often wary of making movies much over 2 hours for many reasons, including them worrying about people thinking they're too long and also the fact that the longer the run-time is the fewer slots they'll have each day to screen them in the cinema.
Are you sad these scenes and songs bit the dust in Bohemian Rhapsody?

Flicks And The City a little yes.
I think it was probably best for the pacing, but I agree, I hope we see the full scenes on the BluRay!!!
Russell H I especially miss Crazy Little Thing Called Love being in it. It was effectively cut twice!
Ren Exactly
Flicks And The City oh yes that’s in fact one of my favorites. Like Ren said for blue-ray it would be great. I usually don’t buy DVD’s but if the scenes were in that I’d 💯 buy. So good idea
"Bohemian Rhapsody was too long for a movie" - Said no fan ever -
They should have included the full Live Aid set and made it a 3 hr movie.
Yeah, it's really weird. They make a fuss about that producer complaining about Bohemian Rapsody being too long to be released as a single and then Queen do it anyway and it's a success.
Yet, when it comes to the movie they make that very same mistake...
If it were a 3 hour movie, the great unwashed would complain it was too long. You can't please all of the people all of the time.
@@nonnamadonna Being too long would have been more in the spirit of the band though and the spirit of the song from which the movie is named after.
Given the subject material I would have watched it if it were a 5 hour movie!

I really hope they release an extended cut on dvd or something
They should sell a copy of the movie with the cut scenes included. I'd buy it
Mary Langley Taber, I agree with you. Me and my friends would all go out and buy the movie uncut in a heart beat. Greatest movie I've ever seen. 🙂
Just a question, has that happened before, a movie being released uncut after being released cut?
There are plenty of biopics that turned into "mini series" with two parts, I feel like Queen surely could've had that and should've. I'd like to see more of the other guy's stories included for instance.
"BoRhap is too long for a regular movie"
Well Bohemian Rhapsody is too long for a regular song.
Because its both legendary sooo.
I like this comment sm
The length of a movie and/or song being "too long" is a great thing, for myself. If it's got ahold of my attention "that long"....then its a damm good movie or song.
I still watch them again and again even with that deleted scenes
I’d actually go as far as saying that “too long” is a huge part of the real band’s legacy seeing as how most radio in the 1970s would have deemed the song too long yet today it’s played on rather high rotation (at least here in Australia it is).
“I pity your wife if you think 6 minutes is forever”
Glad I'm not the only one who felt that way..I was crying like a baby and I'm 52 years old!thank you!
Beautifully put
Gone 32 years now and still going strong ❤
I really enjoyed the film and could've easily watched another 2 hrs. I thought the casting was brilliant. Kept forgetting it wasn't Brian May on screen, but Gwilym Lee ❤️
Could have been his son, for sure. Even the hair was spot on.
Bloody hell! For the longest time, I thought it was brian and not a different person.
I thought John Deacon looked even closer to the real thing
I’ve seen the film twice now and i never forgot that the person playing Freddie was not, in fact, Freddie. Rami Malek did a fabulous job, but physically, he did not look enough like Freddie for us to forget that he was not Freddie. The actors who played Brian May and John Deacon looked much more like them
@@ChrisRash I still can't believe they found someone who looked EXACTLY like him. Crazy. And whoever cut hair for the movie. WHAT?!?!?!

This was a great movie and I would love to see the deleted scenes . His personal life was his own, I was thrilled with Queen's music and all the actors were exceptional !
I sang along loudly, don't be afraid to I'm sure Queen would love that too!
You were right in that age group that comprise the original Queen fans. I'm not at all surprised that you'd go see the movie. Our generation produced some of the greatest music of that century.

He was more Brian May than Brian May. He deserves and Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
BazzaStudios this Brian May was more Brian May than Brian May
This is a great movie. Rami Malek should really get an oscar for this and also RIP Freddie. What a legend.
I was disappointed that they never included a scene of Queen and David Bowie recording "Under Pressure".
Chris B Same but I don’t know how I would have felt seeing that scene being played out with both singers being gone meaning Freddie and David. So I think the way they did put the song in the movie was a better way to go.
Almost no one had ever heard of "Under Pressure"... until they decided to sue Vanilla Ice.
Bob Furman maybe not in the states but everywhere else knew the song.
Maybe they left it open for a David Bowie Biopic
SagaFraga that would be awesome to see too.
Queen at Live Aid is not one of the greatest performances in rock history; it is THE GREATEST.
When I read the two first lines I was like; heyy dun say that😂
Considering Mercury had a bad throat at the time (and was told by his doctor NOT to sing at Live Aid) which contributed to his vocals being harsher (more gruff) sounding than usual, which is exactly what hard rock music needs, I’d agree with you.
Brian May had the perfect hair and has such a kind attitude in the movie. 😊
John Deacon waa freaking adorable😣on the movie and I mean that is pretty self-explanatory cos emm...
Overall he looks alike and sounded, acted alike!😀
Okay, they look alike🤔but the fact their voices and personalities are so accurate in the movie makes it so real! 😊
They should have at least kept the scene concerning how John Deacon joined the band. After all, he is an integral part of the group. (He also built the amp that helps give Brian May's guitar its unique sound) Here's our review: ua-cam.com/video/f3vMrnD2Lbk/v-deo.html
I know right. He just sort of appears from no where, he really needed an introduction, even if its an extra five minutes of the film.
Agreed, I really don't think including maybe a 5minute scene to introduce one of the band's core members who just appears from nowhere would have slowed the movie down any. Bad decision.

I agree...so I just saw it twice! :) (and want to see it again already)
I completely agree.
(Can you tell I'm tired of seeing dissenting comments?) Your comment should have more likes and be posted below every single 'Bohemian Rhapsody' video on UA-cam.
agree
Totally agree. The only bugbear to that is that all the timeline-shifting and cuts make laypersons think that it really happened that way. It's a film - not a documentary. If you approach it on that basis, it's all good.
Oh man I would kill to have this movie as a TV show
i’ve been a fan of queen for pretty much all my live, but recently i’ve been obsessed. i’m 13 years old and from london and freddie mercury has always been my biggest inspiration, since i aspire to be a singer/songwriter when i’m older, i feel i can relate to him a lot! it’s really disappointing because queen aren’t as appreciated as much as they should be at this generation which i think is honesty so unfair since they are legends and they created music like no other. since music and freddie mercury is my saviour, when i found out they were filming this i couldn’t wait!!! rami malek is just outstanding (i watched the film today!) and he is now my favourite actor, i have literally been watching past interviews of him for the whole of these past couple weeks! he is amazing and the whole cast was chosen so perfectly it’s crazy!

If there was a 5 hour version I would be so happy omg I would buy that for sure
I'd love to put in an order for the blue ray with all the cuts included! Will also buy for my friends but won't make it for Christmas
i agree. there was too much of mary.
Let's hope for a directors cut to be released.
I don't think they'll do that given the trouble they had with directors on this film! 😱 But I do think we'll see at least some of the deleted stuff on the Blu-ray. 😊

You remember watching Live Aid a year before it happened?
@@astonish_injurer5598 you're right....'85.....had '84 on my mind , thought I was 14...
Doug Mann so did I...lol..we were witnessing greatness that day..
I read that Freddie did not want to show his privacy to the public, so I think he did not want a movie to be shot about his private relationships.
That may be true but I'm sure he would be sooo happy if he knew what a freaking legend he is!
I was glad they didn’t focus too much on it - the movie just really highlighted his talent and the whole bands talent. I loved it !!!!!
That is true, I think he wouldn't have been to happy....
I read something where Roger and Brian felt that they only had the right to show the Freddie that he showed them. To embellish upon that would be unfair to their memory of Freddie. That makes sense to me...the scenes with Mary were included because of you noticed the rest of the band were friends of Mary’s as well (at that time)
His dying wish was that they could do whatever they liked with his image and music on the condition that they "never made him boring"
I've seen this movie 6 times I love it so much. Each actor was perfectly chosen damn
I hope we get an extended version with does scenes in the DVD\Bluray release!
Great video

Are we the only ones that started clapping along We will rock you in the cinema?
You're lucky, I wish I had seen that film at your age.
Same, but im 15, still everyone here in portugal did clap along "we will rock you" and sing along "dont stop me now" at the credits
Maya P 卌 and hands down to you my friend :)
I was wondering who's voice that was mixed during the video. So happy for you. That's amazing!
Could be on the DVD as extras.
TexaCali Mom I heard that there will be a deleted scenes bonus when the dvd comes out
They should've include Deaky's intro in the DVD extras at least, it's so unfair :(
They should’ve included every deleted scene in the DVD, but instead it was just the full Live Aid scene. Big disappointment
As it should be
Having seen the film about 30 times, I would gladly sit for 5 hours so they could include everything.
Where can you watch the film
CASBAHMMP hahahahaha sorry for saying elderly.... the cinema I was is had those who were about 70-80 so I wasn’t stereotyping 😂 just saw the movie again today and it’s so good
@@mentalmedleydooly7891 No worries. Check out their back catalogue and enjoy!
This movie makes me appreciate queen even more
This movie is one of the coolest movies i have seen in a long time. I went for my grandpa's birthday, and he loved it. I had liked queen before but watching the movie made me realize that i absolutely love them. The actors were phenominal and every new scene had me excited. I loved this movie, i hope to see it again.
i loved how it's like freddie handpicked rami malek to play him
pls i need that merch
The actors were perfectly cast... they all resembled their real life counterparts it made you feel like you were ready to cozy in with the band. Bloody brilliant!
God the film gave me chills, Remi is amazing!!!
I am of the time where I watched Live Aid broadcast when it originally aired. I was gobsmacked by the great performance in this movie. Thanks for giving us a backstage look at the film and what we missed,
As a bass player, I would have loved to see the sense about Deacon and how he became a member of the band.
NK5G
Yeah, same
*scene
I never wanted the movie to end. Give us the option to watch the theater and the extended- then throw in real footage, real Live Aid. I bet 95%-100% watch every single moment about Freddie and real Freddie too. Just such a wonderful thing to see his life. I am grateful I now know all this. He’s such an inspiration to just live by your heart- no matter what anyone else says. Freddie lived by his heart.
A 4 hour movie still wouldn't be enough to fully satisfy the fans...
Yes I hope the deleted scenes are included on dvd!! Such an amazing movie.
Gays staristically turn out to underestimate such risk more than heterosexual persons, and thus pay the highest price: www.hiv.gov/hiv-basics/overview/data-and-trends/statistics
I've never seen a movie like this before. It's beautiful and it made me cry.
I love this film but for me to show Freddie's and Queen's history it should have 5 hours long.
Yeah I agree, but we all know that can't be done.
Michalina Długokęcka
Watch a documentary then
And then there would've been NO Awards for this FABULOUS film!!!!!!!!!!!!
I noticed there was a lot of scenes that are shown in the trailers ended up being cut from the movie.. thanks so much for this video!
I'm in love with my car is one of the best parts in the movie
It`s definately one to watch again.I`m going this weekend (again) ,and can`t wait!!..Freddie was a LEGEND for sure ,and a musical GENIUS.
@@Joy-qw3wm Yass!! I mean every member of Queen is a legend (and a musical genius) in their own right. But the frontman is the face of any band.
Actually is 'Bohemian', not 'Hungarian' rhapsody
@@TheTrueMichael They had a concert in Hungary in 1986, filmed the whole thing, it's on youtube under the title '1986 Hungarian Rhapsody Live in Budapest 2012 Remastered'. It's their full concert from that day. From start to finish. With extra bits, like Freddie wanting to buy the Hungarian Parliament and them trying Pálinka. I know it because I'm Hungarian. I grew up watching that concert. Search it. It's amazing!!
@@mevivgirl And he sang a hungarian folk song just for us, hungarians! So proud!:-)
Being younger, I had heard queen music and liked it, but never felt anything more. Watching the film open new feelings for me about queen, and now every song I listen to tells me a story and projects so much emotion about what they were all feeling, even if it was just a snippet of what the were feeling. Brilliant 💕
We watched it last night. We loved it ! I want to see it again !
True fans will know Freddie and Brian performed another song around 9:40 in the evening at live Aid.
it was such a huge bummer that during that later performance, of such an appropriate and beautiful composition, there were all that the mic's died and there was all that sound engineer conversation to be heard
dogroferifno “Is this the world we created...?” That was a great song and great performance at the Live Aid show, i wish they could show all these performances in the movie
@@carolyncaldwell2594 The recording is not that bad: ua-cam.com/video/ClP4DtU5vyM/v-deo.html
Thank u so much for posting the video of it, its beautiful ❤️🥰
you're making new fans feel unwelcomed
Freddies voice was not from ths earth, God has speaks to us thrue him.
Freddie will be forever immortal in our hearts... He was and is the QUEEN. "Queen - Live AID 1985
Full Concert (Best Version)" @
I sometimes wonder if God gave humans the ability to create song, sort of like we enjoy birds singing...people such as Freddie were the birds that sang to amuse God himself?
@@nicksixer I hope the god you are referring to is Ahura Mazda or the prophet Zarathustra, because if Freddie believed in any religion, and I don't think he was, he would have been a Zorastrian. So I think Ahura Mazda gave humans the ability to create song.
I read that Freddie did not want to show his privacy to the public, so I think he did not want a movie to be shot about his private relationships.
Towards the end of the movie after Freddie gets back with the band, they mentioned that they’re all going to be queen, that remains an iconic detail due to the huge amount of effort and creativity each member invested in every song
Absolutely loved their personalities! How they stuck together and loved each other as brothers.
Here`s the rest of what I found:
"This is often the forgotten song of Queen's Live Aid performance: everyone remembers their six-song main set which catapulted them to fame, but it's easy to forget that Brian May and Freddie Mercury came out later into the evening to perform this song as a duo, before joining in on the final ensemble performance of "Do They Know It's Christmas?" to close the show, featuring most of the artists who had performed on the London stage as well as Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, who had organized and curated the show."
Movie of the year , loved every minute of the movie. Rami was Amazing as Freddie mercury It was like Freddie took over Rami's body.
I loved Bohemian Rhapsody! I have now gained so much respect for them all and am now obsessed with the songs written by queen 😂💖
Join the club lol
Me Too !!!
Me too x
for the last week I have been watching every documentary and interviews about Queen and I have become really drawn to Freddie's life, I felt sad about alot of it, but I am so glad that the band endured and became the legend that they are, he is greatly missed
This movie was to short
Phil 21 In a way, kinda yes
I've heard quite a few people say that. Studios are often wary of making movies much over 2 hours for many reasons, including them worrying about people thinking they're too long and also the fact that the longer the run-time is the fewer slots they'll have each day to screen them in the cinema.
@@FlicksAndTheCity I hope there will be an sequel.
Phil 21
what will the squeal be about? i think it’s perfect just like that, one movie.
I thought the movie was a bit rushed
