- There would be water in the trunk of the car after heavy rain. I've traced it down to a leaking tail light, which trapped water and spilled it through the light bulb holes into the trunk. Here's how to fix that.

This video deserves more views. Only one I could find that didn’t involve butchering the tail light with a dremel or obnoxious music playing over the actual information. Good work my dude.
thanks so much! good to know that my top viewed video is good :) it's helped out a bunch of my friends already.
I really like your style of presenting. Thanks for sharing the video!
nice video! looks like im gonna have to this on my 88' civic hatch
Get leds. Don’t get as hot and you won’t have the problem again
Use clear silicone and you can’t see it. Great video
nice. what did you use for sealant?
Hi,
I have a channel dedicated to repairing CRXs.
As part of a video on rust and water leaks (causes and remedies), will you allow me to use a few seconds of your video to show the pool in the trunk?
Absolutely, go ahead. You can also use the clip of me pouring water out of the tail lights lol i thought that was pretty funny
what kind of silicone are you using?
It's not the sealant on the trail light.your missing your taillight gasket.there should be one in between the taillight and the body of the car.
There are gaskets in between there, I put new ones in even and the light still got water in it. Did you watch the video and see how bad the sealant in the light was? Anyway it's been a while and no more water in trunk so I think I got it right :)
Hey man I have those reverse tail lights on my crx si (the one that has the red square on the driver side ) but when I put the car into gear they both turn on why ??
Are you from the USA? In Japan and Europe, the red square is a fog light, and the white square is the reverse light. In the US market, both squares are white and are reverse lights. If you put the EU/JDM rear garnish on, the light in the red square is still a reverse light. You do not have a fog light wired up.
Use Black sealant
