I can definitely see how it can be easy to sit on your phone at times, but I also hear 5 hours of screen time and balk! I do listen to music or books a lot on my phone, so maybe that contributes to some screen time and I will play a few rounds of Marvel Snap while winding down for the day, but otherwise it's pretty easy for me to NOT doom scroll or spend much more than 2 hours looking at my phone. Regardless I love the idea of 'dumb phones' coming back to have a more prominent slice of the market.
Hello. Thank you for the wonderful video. I'm a Japanese author! Due to my smartphone addiction, I started using a dumbphone for my mental health. I've written books and videos about my experience. I think digital detox is necessary worldwide. I'm excited to hear that dumbphones are experiencing a resurgence overseas. I hope there will be more simple phones like this!
I took a hard look at carrying a dumb phone and it should not be a big deal other than when traveling. Anything that I need a smartphone for, I can easily do from a tablet or computer. When I am out of the house, a dumb phone would be fine. I am going to give this a shot. I love the retro vibes, I remember having one of these back in the day and life was much simpler
Honestly that is the mainly the real problem with smart phones. It is too easy to spend hours looking at for all type of things, even when such things as Computer or a Tablet with Keyboard would be a better tool to perform the job at hand. I think some people are more connected to their phone than they are to the people they claim they love anymore. My ex-wife and her sisters for years would text each other while sitting in the same room, so people like their mom or spouse(s) would know what they were talking about. It amazing how little people actually talk while talking to each other. I mean do you really to know every update of where your friends and family are at? Too me it seems like more invasion of one privacy. Yet, we tend to trade one device to use another, we seem to be overconnected to everyone. You know what I don't care what you are doing all of the time, yeah it nice to know you are safe and what not, but I don't need to know every rest area you stopped at on that 1000 mile trip. Just saying.
I just dumbed my smartphone down and it has worked wonders. I eliminated distracting app arrangements and made app "categories" on different screens. Now I only go to one category/screen at a time to stay more focused - the music screen, the communications screen, the shopping screen, and so on. The home screen is totally empty, so I can always hit home and get out of everything and nothing sucks me in). I also stay out of social media but lurk at times for an entertainment fix. And, I turned my tablet into a Kobo reader only - no other apps are on there - so I read books now more than distractive internet content. Now much happier and more focused! Still using the tools I need while getting rid of as many brain-destroying distractions as possible and it's going well. I feel good about my tech life now!
Great review. I'm all for the retro tech being given a second life. Maybe I'm old lol but the nostalgia of simpler times with my Nokia brick is joyful and it's nice to see that "dumbphones" are resonating with younger generations

Still no interence for smartphones but I ques I have to buy one in near future because so many place are demanting strong digital identification , many bereau and helthcenter dont accept tradional id-cards anymore around here🇫🇮 😐👎
feel like certain stuff from either a modern phone or pc is pretty much required to get by in my country. but phones could have been phones, maybe a black and white phone that only really do calls and messages could have impressive battery life and reliability. but like some older people around me who at least used to use older phones some years ago felt like they need a computer, think smart phone would be good enough for that though. using most of my battery to take pictures of insects and flowers doesn't feel like the most proper use of a phone
All of this sounds great, Rehab or whatever you may prefer to call it. However, personally, I may consider such a phone, only if there is a way to sync Google Contacts. Without that capability, it's pointless to manually save or update contacts on both phones. It would just be duplicate work and of no real value.
I am between this phone (3210) in the video OR the Flip Phone Nokia 2660. Since the phone in this video has a better screen it might be considerably better to go for that one instead of the Flip Phone. Even though I would really love to have a Flip Phone instead; Having a better screen to see might be the better decision.

Where can I buy this phone I can't seem to find it anywhere
Hmd website
It's beautiful! The colour is amazing!
I am looking for a blackberry styled keyboard phone with google maps compatibility.
2009 I bought Nokia 6300 and I have used it ever since. And even today phone works just fine, I do had to replace the phone case twice and battery once during the years. Still no interence for smartphones but I ques I have to buy one in near future because so many place are demanting strong digital identification , many bereau and helthcenter dont accept tradional id-cards anymore around here🇫🇮 😐👎
Never owned a Smartphone and i´m still doing well. Bought the Nokia 3210 after using a Samsung mid-2000 model for the last 12 years.
I have this phone and absolutely love it :)
Is 4G tethering speeds good?
among all the phones back then only nokia phones had alot of casing, accessories and mods being sold
Dumb phone, I use one at work, one for emergency and a smartphone is always near. I am interested in this model!
Does it work with Bluetooth headphones?
Ha ha
My first mobile phone! 3210.
do a qin f22 pro review please
Is Nokia Finland making these phones? Since HMD cannot use the Nokia name anymore?
can your use spotify and youtiube on this?
feel like certain stuff from either a modern phone or pc is pretty much required to get by in my country.
but phones could have been phones, maybe a black and white phone that only really do calls and messages could have impressive battery life and reliability.
but like some older people around me who at least used to use older phones some years ago felt like they need a computer, think smart phone would be good enough for that though.
using most of my battery to take pictures of insects and flowers doesn't feel like the most proper use of a phone
Then use the PC
Should I get this one or the 225 4G (2024)?
I'm honestly going to get one too
I just bought this for my son so he doesn't develop a need to be on his phone all the time.
All of this sounds great, Rehab or whatever you may prefer to call it. However, personally, I may consider such a phone, only if there is a way to sync Google Contacts. Without that capability, it's pointless to manually save or update contacts on both phones. It would just be duplicate work and of no real value.
Love the dumb phone off grid simplicity - poss upgrade for my current Nokia backup phone ..
does it have hotspot or usb tethering?
Great pizza restaurant food cart phone 😮
That's why I'm still using just my iphone se 2 :)
Me using the "original "old 3310+6310 for private calls sometimes :d
This is so far the best phone i had for a long time except i lost it at the ground when cutting the grass and it went in pieces 😪, I would definitely buy it again for sure 😅. Lucky me the sim is the only thing that was intact. im never going back to these crappy smartphones
dumbphone - good review!
