I still have the original first release with a new battery. It has the circular power jack and the charger still works. The problem is, it has a GSM dual-band radio - we now call it 2G - and, since the 3G masts have all been turned off very recently, the 2G is so congested that has become difficult to make a call. Thanks for this video! I'm one of these digital minimalists who love carrying around a dumbphone whenever I can. However, I find these modern so-called Nokia devices really disappointing, and I wish your review covered some of the common daily life scenarios, where unfortunately, the rebooted Nokias show absolutely disastrous lack of quality. Have you actually tried pairing any Bluetooth device and using it with 8210's music player? It works worse than cheap no-label phones from China - disconnects, interrupts the audio... The UI is much worse than my 15 y.o. Nokia Xpress music, in almost any part of the system. I feel the same nostalgia, but before HMD actually makes any effort to make these devices functional - they're not worth your money and the carbon footprint, and should be pushed more by influencers to seriously answer the minimalist niche... which at this point they're using to sell almost unusable nostalgia toys.
Nokia Corp. had sold its phone brand. Phones with Nokia logo are no longer affiliated with Nokia Corp. in Finland. This phone basically is a clone made in China installed Chinese low-end chip.
Just watching you was fully worth going through the memories of having this phone. 😄 Oh yeah! Being a computer engineer I had to sit at work all night in case any clients had Y2K issues. It was a snooze fest. 😅
my second phone was a 3310 3G (*my first was an old 105 from 2012 lol) and I'm somewhat disappointed in how similar the 2 phones are despite being released 6 years apart, doesn't even come with a pair of headphones in the box :/ At least with these types of phones, they are great for running and emulating classic games like Tetris, Bounce Tales and Doodle Jump (not really a classic but a good port nonetheless) which you can find online albeit some compatibility issues they will also run faster than on their original phones, just plop in an SD card with the games into your phone and find them in the folder to install and run. Have fun!
Dang, this phone looks amazing. I had a friend whose business revolved around customizing these phones. Any color case and color lights. They were very reliable phones.
My father has this old model phone. Nokia 66 something. Fortunately, they still sell these because he can't use a smartphone. I remember that my first phone was a 3510i. I was in the 3rd grade then, so I was probably 9-10 years old. I remember when you could download ringtones from some magazines. Or buy it somehow. If someone remembers better how that system worked, please tell me 😁
I love you mention the 128MB storage and 2MP camera, my AGM M9 has a 0.3MP camera and 32MB storage so its even better spec wise than what I use everyday. I just ordered an original nokia 1100B though as its 850MHZ GSM and will still work with Rogers carrier here in Canada so I can have some real nostalgia.
I still have my original N95 and wouldn’t change it for quids. I don’t get scams or adds, battery lasts over a week and it fits unnoticed in the smallest pocket.
It's supposed to be a dumb phone, a way to detox from technology, and you want it to be more technologically advanced? 🤦♂️ just buy a normal smartphone
may i ask if this phone does have international brand? what i mean is if it is Globally carrier unlocked? available globally? can i use different foreign sim cards with it?
I would love to come back to these basic phones since I often prefer using my laptop or tablet when connecting to the web and i get bored pretty easy using a smart phone these days and I hardly use my camera phone. However people seldom use SMS or phonecalls anymore. They prefer these online messengers and VOIPS which isn't available in these basic phones.
Hello. Thank you for the wonderful video. I'm a Japanese author! Due to my smartphone addiction, I started using a dumbphone for my mental health. I've written a book and videos about my experience. I found your video very interesting. I think digital detox is necessary worldwide. I've heard that dumbphones are experiencing a resurgence overseas, so I'm hopeful. I hope there will be more simple phones like this!

The new Nokia 3210 2024 model feels like a throwback to the early 2008ish Chinese phones. It's got that basic, no-frills vibe with an interface and functionality that seem stuck in the past. The data capabilities are incredibly outdated, making it feel more like a relic than a modern phone. If you're looking for nostalgia or a very basic device, it might work, but don't expect any modern features or conveniences.

my second phone was a 3310 3G (*my first was an old 105 from 2012 lol) and I'm somewhat disappointed in how similar the 2 phones are despite being released 6 years apart, doesn't even come with a pair of headphones in the box :/
At least with these types of phones, they are great for running and emulating classic games like Tetris, Bounce Tales and Doodle Jump (not really a classic but a good port nonetheless) which you can find online albeit some compatibility issues they will also run faster than on their original phones, just plop in an SD card with the games into your phone and find them in the folder to install and run. Have fun!
Please do the new NOKIA 5310 (2024) version please please
Dang, this phone looks amazing. I had a friend whose business revolved around customizing these phones. Any color case and color lights. They were very reliable phones.
My father has this old model phone. Nokia 66 something. Fortunately, they still sell these because he can't use a smartphone. I remember that my first phone was a 3510i. I was in the 3rd grade then, so I was probably 9-10 years old. I remember when you could download ringtones from some magazines. Or buy it somehow. If someone remembers better how that system worked, please tell me 😁
Order 66 for you!
The only phone made with netherite
I still have my original N95 and wouldn’t change it for quids. I don’t get scams or adds, battery lasts over a week and it fits unnoticed in the smallest pocket.
It would be great for nokia to slap on a wifi on it. At least it could've served as a wifi hotspot.
It's supposed to be a dumb phone, a way to detox from technology, and you want it to be more technologically advanced? 🤦♂️ just buy a normal smartphone
@@memonomoto7419 let's be real, it wouldn't be a detox if there's a UA-cam app built in for watching shorts. Lmao 🤣
may i ask if this phone does have international brand? what i mean is if it is Globally carrier unlocked? available globally? can i use different foreign sim cards with it?
Ace.
This is a modern day equivalent to going off grid.
This is the coolest, funniest review in social media history. Chugging that bottle of spirit brought the house down. 🤭
0:20 F*** I'M OLD 🍻😂😂😂😂 this should be the meme of the month 🤣🤣
I would love to come back to these basic phones since I often prefer using my laptop or tablet when connecting to the web and i get bored pretty easy using a smart phone these days and I hardly use my camera phone. However people seldom use SMS or phonecalls anymore. They prefer these online messengers and VOIPS which isn't available in these basic phones.
Ah, the memories. The original was my 2nd mobile phone, the first one being a Motorola D460
I remember the days you could open a beer and smack down three grown men with the same device played snake on! Those where the days 😅
Isn't this new version of the classic Nokia available with 5G instead of the older 4G? A very well done vid review, sir!!! My compliments. 👏👍🏹♐
Banging review style! Subscribed! 🤣
I still got my original 3310 from way back then, and it still works. Gadgets made nowadays tend to fall apart after a few months of usage.
what I miss with nokia is the interchangeable case design, that is nostagia at the very roots of our ancestors
It was my first bought phone too. Brings back memories. Used to chat in Facebook with my first love.
Cool, thanks Nokia for the 3210, now other generations will have their 3210 as nostalgic memory as a kid when they still can't afford thing, in 2049, 25 years from now. Nokia must be reborn.
God bless.
I used the original one as my first phone in 2005. It was the best thing. Solid build, simple UI and long lasting battery.
Well, if the kids don't believe in Y2K, wait til they see Y2K38 😆
y2k was an exciting back then as i watch the last sunset on a beach on december 31st 1999
Photos turned out shockingly great.
Seems massive for this type of phone. Similar to the other HMD reboots of the 3310(2017) and 6310(2024) and 6310(2021). At least it got a USB C charging port.
Im 40 and I remember the time when Nokia was all the rage. We used to remember every model number and the different features each had. And snake was such an addictive game. Me an dmy friends used to have Snake battles to see who could score more. My first phone was a Nokia 2300 (old model) which was the first lcd with a white screen rathern than blue, next was a Nokia 660 (what a flex that was), then a Nokia 5800 Express Music. Good old days.
My brother used this one back In cca400s BC during the dinosaur evening hunts. Today we are both rocking S10 , thing wont broke.
Never owned a 3210. My first Nokia was a 3310 Mar 2001. Sold July same year. Miss those times
I've got this in the "Grunge Black". Great phone, battery lasts a week with average use including my micro SD for audio lectures.
How many contacts it can take
Love this review! Hahaha! So funny!
... still our favorite review channel.
i just bought a C110 for $40 and i love it. nokia finally hit it out of the park with a smart phone, i remember in years past they havent made very good ones, especially when they exclusivley shipped with microsoft OS that was a monumental fook up
The new Nokia 3210 2024 model feels like a throwback to the early 2008ish Chinese phones.
Nokia 7210 was soo cool with the slider for the mouth piece 👌
