Just bought an identical cart. It was a no start condition. Cleaned the terminals and replaced the battery. Got it to run but it's sluggish unless you pull the choke while driving. I assume it's the carb. I have fuel coming of the pump. Your videos are very helpful thanks again.

Great video!! Wondering when you might do another live Q & A....? I have a 1995 Yamaha G14. When the accelerator is pushed it hesitates for a few seconds, then takes off. Even if pedal is pushed all the way down, nothing happens for about 3 seconds then cart accelerates. After watching your other videos, I did take apart and cleaned the carb, but still does it, and it does have a backfire once in awhile. Thanks for all the videos, they are a great help!
I plan to do more live streams answering questions. I don't know exactly when, though. When you say it hesitates, do you mean it hesitates to start cranking or hesitates to fire up after it starts cranking? If its hesitant on cranking, it could be a weak battery, faulty brush in the starter/generator, bad cables. If its hesitant on starting, you could have the cables out of adjustment or bad fuel.
@@Kevinsgolfcarts When I press the accelerator down there is silence, no cranking at all. Then after about 2 to 3 seconds it jumps to life. It almost seems to work better if I "feather" the pedal slowly. Once it cranks, it goes. Battery is brand new so maybe an issue with brush in starter/generator, or the cables. Yamahas can sometimes be hard cranking, depending on where they stop in the 4-stroke cycle. Most of the time, they will be hardest cranking during the initial compression stroke. I've found that replacing the factory battery cable ends with crimped ring terminals and new battery clamps helps a lot. If the cables have green corrosion under the sheath, I would replace the entire cable with new 6 gauge battery cables.

Hello I had the same issues with no starting. I fixed everything as you did, but now back fires and won’t get up and go. Very slow to move.
True story today at work:
1996 EZGO TXT with the 'good' engine (twin cylinder) guy brought it in, had it three years, and claimed it didn't run. Just cranked. It was OUT OF GAS. That is the THIRD time we've had this happen. They use so little fuel that people just forget to check.

i recently baught a g-2 ? and was changing the oil yesterday couldnt find the oil filter do these carts even have one? could not find anything on the tube about that. thanks for your content.
No, these engines do not have an oil filter. They are splash lube. They have a "finger" that comes off the connecting rod that splashes the oil inside the engine. These engines really have no way to push oil through a filter. Engines with pressure lube systems (oil pump built into the engine) have oil filters. This gives the engine a way to push oil through a filter. I hope this was helpful.

I have the same one but my problem is it bogs under load and also when its in neutral..I've adjusted the carb even cleaned it out.. new gaskets..pretty much a full tune-up.. I've looked on line and it says 1.5 turns on the screw for the carb. I've tried 1.5...2..2.5..even 1..still bogs and back fires..any idea ?. I have to pull the choke to get it to run
Might need a new carb. I've seen them blocked up internally and not able to get them clean. The only fix was to replace it. Make sure you get one for your engine. I've also seen the wrong carb installed and it causes similar symptoms.

What size fuel line did you use?
1/4 inch rubber fuel line.
Why didn't you check the oil before turning over? If I saw this and this was my unit I'd be upset.
If this was your unit, you would have watched me check the oil before I even loaded it. But, you were there to see that, right?
