Easiest way to add performance to almost anything is to open up the exhaust with a new muffler and with that add a fuel tuner. Almost anyone can do that. Engines are so choked down meeting more stringent emissions. I'm almost 50 so I want quieter now but when I was 16 louder and faster was the thing. Haha Thanks for the videos..very informative!
Thanks for the great video!! I am going to be cleaning the carb on my 1995 G14 tomorrow and hope it goes as smoothly as this. In regard to the ATV (and other) riders, I live near a park and there is a lot of ATV / motorcycle traffic. Some people ride respectfully, and others with no regard for safety. The crazy drivers are giving them all a bad name, I definitely agree with that! Thanks again!!
A great video, well filmed. I have just bought what I thought was a G16A but it has a G14 engine exactly the same as the one in your vid. Must have had a new engine sometime back. The only way that much water could have got into the tank is by someone putting it there. Sabotage ? Perhaps the owner annoyed somebody. I need to clean out my carb, so your vid camer at the right time, even though it is 4 years old!
My son does maintenance and repair of ATV 4 wheeler's and quads some are extremely loud and irritating fortunately the ones he owns are not. And our neighborhood folks run golf carts ours is also a yamaha golf cart with a few ranch style four wheeler's.like your channel.

No, I do not have an ATV. Our neighbors have two ATVs their kids ride across the road from our cabin. They are not the loud type. Fortunately, for us, their ATVs have mufflers on them.
Thanks for the video. I put a new carb on a G14 that had been sitting for a while. It runs but it doesn’t have any power, it barely makes the cart roll around. I checked the fuel pump and is pumping gas.
If it still has old gas, you will have to pump down and clean the tank. I would refill it with ethanol free gas, if you have easy access to it. After that, disconnect the fuel line from the carb and pump a few ounces through the fuel system. You will have to pull and clean the new carb to get the old gas out.
@@Kevinsgolfcarts It had very little of the ok’d gas, I filled it with new 89 octane and an octane booster additive
@@Kevinsgolfcarts thanks for the advice. I replaced the gas, the carburetor, the fuel filter, gas pump and one of the hoses that looked bad. I tried messing with the needle adjustments but, the carb is still not running smoothly with consistent power. One one adjustment.c I pull the choke and it runs awesome. On another adjustment, it runs consistently with no power lol what needles do you adjust and how much (turns)? Thank you !
That jet that’s mounted on the top, outside of body. What’s it called? I’ve had trouble with my cart running well. Took the carb off and cleaned the crap out of it. But noticed a hole in the top sucking air. I see your carb has a jet in that location.
Kevin where are you located. I have a 86 club car someone changed the carb an now it has no power at all. I just put new plug an fuel filter an air filter was thinking the carb the person put on is bad. Any help would be great help. Thanks

I have this golf cart…anyone know why i would not be able to get an air compressor to inflate the tires..it would work on one, but not the others. Valve stems seem to be OK…confused…
This is one of the issues I have to deal with. Removing the tank pressure cleaning and rinsing with methylated spirits or clean fuel! They are trying to make ATV’s a lot safer by putting roll bars or cages on them, personally I hate them!

Thanks! Most of the time it comes from the ethanol in the gasoline absorbing moisture that's in the air. Sometimes it comes from water that is in a gas can that was left outside.

Most atvs are not to loud from the factory, but because people think they need to put aftermarket pipes and mufflers on them to gain a half hp or a bit more throttle response is needed, which in turns makes them louder.
I grew up riding atvs till the early 2000s and then switched to a golf cart and I still ride one but not as much as I use to.
The major issue now is utv/side by sides. They are making them larger, faster, and louder even from the factory which is creating issues. I know of a boating community at lake Cumberland where they are getting complaints of side by sides blaring music and screaming up and down the roads late at night which is disrespectful. I understand you there to relax and have fun, but the parents are just as responsible for the issues as the kids that ride them. That's my opinion on the subject. Dont Buy a machine that will put your kids in that situation and if you do, your allowing the problem to exist, and as long as the machines are being bought. They will continue to make them. Not to mention most of them are ranging up to 20k for a single side by side . Its crazy.
