I’ve just put dual venture tubeless 19 on my xf650 Suzuki paired with 17 inch Tractionator gps on the rear.
I’ve got about 1500km ride on 50/50 dirt / bitumen next week.
I’m hoping they do the job and by the sounds of it they should.
I wish I had seen this earlier, it’s a great explanation of the difference in the two tires. I initially ordered the tubed for my Africa Twin but realized that the tubed version would probably be a better choice, and returned them for the tubeless. They were excellent on the Idaho BDR off road and on the return trip on pavement. They show almost no wear. I’ve used other cheaper tires on BDRs and the ride to, on, and back wore them to where they had to be replaced. I’m tempted to run these MotoZs on a planned trip to Alaska just to see how long they last.
I love the TT version on my CRF300Rally. Brilliant on and off road. Has lasted 3 back tires so far. Hey that was a really great review and informative video.

Awesome info to raise everyones level of knowledge. I have a Desert HT Tractionator on the rear of my RXV550 and a Tracula on the front. Will be looking for this when the front needs replacing on my DR650.

Ive been riding TKC-80's and they do not suck. 800 miles on this rear I need to replace it before rain seasn already Just 1 summer is all I got out of it. I was going to go with Pirelli Mt-21 front and Tractionator Adventure rear. Now you got me second guessing lol
Empty 21 to a solid and a great Tyre) but in 1980 now, there’s just so much choice as history moves on they will always have their place, but as motorcycles are advancing, we want for so much more so it’s definitely time to look around with all these options. understandably, I always come in at the right price however things like the tube type get well over 10,000 k’s on lie to Bikes) and I are reversible so that brings value to the table…

I can confirm the tubeless with a tube is a good tyre for on and off road, based on my recent trip to Broken Hill.

Some good information on tyre choices. I've had lots of Motoz Rallz on my 690R & 890R. I'm interested to see what this tyre will be like. Looking forward to giving it a go.

Really heavily depends on size weight and the big one … pressure … but generally no complaints but the H/way howler is the desert HT

Yes, I got more out of this video than most. I live on the east coast of the United States and unfortunately most roads in my area are black top. I ride 80% road and 20% dirt typically. Would you say the dualventure is suitable for me on my 1250gs Adventure running backroad and 80mph on the hwy? Thanks much
Sounds like that tubeless tyre is the way to go for my upcoming T7 trip to Tassie from Perth (with as much dirt road as I can find) and maybe home again. Had tremendous mileage out of a previous set of MOTOZ Tractionator GPS tyres on my SuperTen' on a trip Albany (WA) to Kununurra via Kalgoorlie/Newman and the Gibb River Road, and then back to Perth on bitumen.
The T7 pairs up well with the TUBELESS front especially since you need a distance dualsport tyre with some road manners when you’re not on the dirt … to get the most out of your front air up as high as you can it will reduce the common ski ramp low pressure pattern … when you’re on the highway

Definitely the right attitude… go for the tyre to best suit the purpose… and surprisingly TT lasts well and goes the distance
That's cool . Thanks. So can i use tubeless tyres on my dirt bike with inner tubes without issue? Both front and back? For longer trips i want more road longevity and happy to sacrifice a small amount of off road capability. Cheers

Great explanation. I have a CRF450L that I use for everything including light adventure on BDRs. The front has a 1.6” rim. Would you still recommend the TL with a tube on such a narrow rim? The specs state 2.15.
Both tyres will fit all rims. It just depends on whether you need more k’s for better on road handling or more grip off-road handling.
But for 450 you’ll find that the tube type will probably be a better all-round tyre as the bike is lighter and you’ll do more off-road even without thinking plus the kilometres that you get from these are amazing and you’re more than likely pull the tube less off before it’s totally worn to get more off-road grip
I wonder why the tube type dual venture is rated for higher speeds in the 21' front? less mass=beter dynamic stability??
Yes plus ist to do with the angle of the ply’s greater angle slower speed rating and more plies cross each other, giving a stiffer carcass
Hi there , I have a tenere 700 and do 80% off road (fire roads , green lanes etc) 20% road. I’m pretty set on the dual venture front and the rallz rear but wondering if you recommend tubeless or tubed even though the tenere is tuned.

As with all tubeless tyres, they are rated at tubeless capable. It is not a requirement whenever tubes are being used by any factory motorcycle. Please install tubes. There is modifications you can make to some rims to make them tubeless but again this is personal preference for tubed rim, keep it simple and just run a tube, thanks for your question
Great info, but I’m a bit confused. I have a 1.85” rim on my 701 but want to run the wider tubeless. Motoz states 2.15-2.50 inches on that one. You’re saying it will fit with no problem?
Yes No problem at all… have fitted these to CRF300 Rally … the only thing you’ll experience is being a four ply are generally stiffer to fit even to a wider rim … thanks for reaching out and asking
PS the tube type does have good kilometres and has good road manners kept with the pressures up, but the tubeless definitely shines in the kilometres and the road handling ability

Interesting video, I currently run a tractionator adventure on the rear of my 500x(which i love) & a tkc80 on the front. Im really happpy with the wear rate of motoz tyres so wonder if the dual venture on the front would be a better pairing🤔 Is this tyre less likely to cupping, as with the tractionator adventure front, which is why i went with the continental originally? Love to hear your thoughts guy's 👍
Thanks for your question now where do I start… the continental TKC80 is probably the best knobby tyree to ever hit the tarmac because of its light structure performing similar to a radial on road however with it’s light structure it is bound to give you problems off-road resulting in rim damage when “under pressured“… a common mistake… we see this every day with large KTM’s as they come on as a factory OEM equipment … cupping or the Centre block, not wearing and blocks around it do in a hacksaw manner is a sure sign of under pressure for road riding. where most of the wear takes place. It’s always been a case of underinflation as most manuals suggest to lower pressure for this exact tyre.
The heavier carcasses of MOTOZ‘s tyres that they are a better off-road tyre especially the dualventure tube type and a competent Road tyre .
But generally speaking, cupping is due to lack of pressure. People that support brands that don’t cup usually have a stronger or stiffer carcass, which makes up for the lack of pressure of which they put in. Many people do not change the pressures when they change their tyre brands to compensate they try to find the jigsaw puzzle that fits them rather than changing their habits & pressures for each tyre choice …😉

Hey, thanks for this informative video! However, I have a question about using the DualVenture on a KLX250S. This bike is about 139kg. Which DualVenture front would you recommend, the TT or TL? The tubeless seems logical since it's, well TL, is narrow and the bike officially has a 80/100 rating. The Tubeless version does seem very aggressive with a more oval roundness. How will this tyre affect a light bike in the dirt (soft sand especially) and road?
I had both font and rear RallZ's on my DR650, but I did not like the front wobble. Offroad grip was absolute stunning. I want to give this DualVenture a try with a RallZ rear on the KLX, but not (unknowingly) make the wrong choice about TT or TL and shoot it down if I don't like it. I never knew there was such difference between the two!
Given the fact that it’s a lighter machine, and also you want to put the Rallz on the rear the best way to compliment these two points is to definitely go for the tube type… being a three ply. It’s much stiffer than most other brands on the market & has good OnRoad manners but it really performs off-road and that’s where that bike will shine being so light and agile… The tube less can be a bit heavy build for the front of these bikes and makes it a bit slippery on hard loose surfaces given it’s inflexibility due to the lack of weight pushing down on the carcass in you case. If you were to touch and feel these tyres in the flesh, you would quickly understand this..

Can I install a 110/80 - 19 (tubeless with a tube) Dualventure on a KTM 390 Adventure rim which specs a 100/90-19? I gather it will fit but whats the trade off? Thanks for the video!
The trade off is that you’ll have a stiffer with grip… But the bonus is, you’ll probably have the tyre to suit the application for where you want to ride on dirt trails I assume so it’ll probably be more of a win-win and save your ring from damage when you go off road… but if you’re only riding on road, it’ll be fine just a bit firmer …

I can confirm from MOTOZ Australia … that’s a definite yes, they are running out the adventure fronts and the Dualventure will be the matched front for the Adventure.

I put this combo on my 1200GS and it’s the best setup I’ve ridden for off-road traction with respectable longevity and on-road performance. I ride in Western Canada, NW USA, and used them on the IDBDR IN 2022. 👌

To get a higher speed rating you’d have to go to a radial tyre and that would include tyres like Pirelli rally STR or continental TKC 70 rocks and if you can get them high on the list would be the (Mitas) Terra Force R … go watch a Chris Birch video on these tyres you’ll be so impressed
