Good Evening! I am so happy that you are here! Quick Surprise Video Tonight! I Will take you all on a quick shop tour! And I have some questions for you all. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! What should we do?
I'd say go ahead what is the most convenient for you and what makes you happy. I would watch a 2nd channel but I'd be okay as well having one channel with all stuff. BR from Germany
A second CHannel is smart. The amount of people having to repair their personal equipment to automobiles now is extremely high. Good knowledgeable help is always appreciated and viewed and with everchanging equipment a second channel would be well stocked for material. The only true negative is editing and uploading videos to two channels. So double the work that is done now if the both of you are ok with that then you are set. Just food for thought as I know not how the two of you handle the video production process. PS you may need to put up some small wall regardless even if it is foam insulation to section off your filming area/Studio. I am talking about the thick foam boards.
Erica, you have the best chainsaw diagnosis and repair channel on Utube. The commentary regarding what the customer says and the evidence uncovered during the inspection, analysis and subsequent repair is a magnet for viewers. The honest comments about how people treat their equipment, actual cost to repair and attention to detail is riveting. Another channel along the same format for the bigger equipment would be great. Your husband appears to be ingenious in making some of those non-standard mods and repairs which I would also watch with the same enthusiasm. Cheers from Australia!
New subscriber here…I subscribed because of the title, hoping there would be a variety of small engines and have only seen chainsaw videos so far. So, my vote is that you already have the title you need, just add in the other content. Your followers seem very loyal, so if they are subscribed for the chainsaw stuff they’ll tune in for those repairs. For those of us that are small engine fanatics, we’ll be here for all of them. I think you only expand your reach as long as you stick with small engine powered equipment. My thoughts, humbly.
I like the format you are able to use as a shop owner. You are diagnosing a customer complaint...not just showing how to fix something, because really thats the part most people get wrong. Many people can bolt parts on but they just are not sure which part to replace. If Tyler can do that same style video then I'd watch, even if he's repairing those dirty disgusting 4 strokes that swim in their own filth 🙂
I'd say to combine all the repairs into one channel. I would be interested in watching repairs besides chainsaws. Wishing you well for the New Year. Take Care.
Yes I would watch the mower and snowblower channel. From my UA-cam watching experience I believe it’s best in the short term to just keep the one channel, if it’s more videos per week that will only help your channel but also it builds a following for his eventual new channel MWSE2!! Also I’ve seen a lot of youtubers become burned out and not want to film or maybe they get sick for a month and have no video to post for a variety of reasons which in turn slows channel growth. Having two people make videos independently from one another adds a buffer for one or the other. Just one man’s opinion of course, I’ll gladly watch a separate channel if that’s what you all end up doing. Have a nice day!
I would love to see a second channel , like most of us here. If you own a chainsaw, chances are you also own trimmers, lawnmowers and all the other gear, that needs to be fixed. Married to mowers, blowers and trimmers would be a good name.
One channel has a big advantage, all the subscribes on one channel. And you can follow the seasons and always sprinkle in a little of each no matter what time of year. Mowers, tractors and chainsaws. But no matter what you do, I'm behind you!
Great tour Erica - thanks. Showing the repairs that Tyler does would fit quite nicely with your current content and appeal to a wider audience - I would build on the momentum of this channel and mix the release of each repair types as your time and workload allows - few channels out there with dealer type repairs.
Your dealership carries a massive range of of new and used parts as stock. I respect that, to have that much on hand is expensive and difficult to house but an excellent service to your customers, many of whom would be your friends Cheers
I would like to see you repair other small equipment, like weed eaters, handheld and backpack blowers, hedge clippers, edgers, etc. I don’t know if you get a lot of those types of repairs, but it would be nice to see a greater variety of two stroke repairs. I also think that it would make sense to have a separate four stroke channel, because two and four stroke repairs make a well defined delineation.
Personally, i like your channel just the way it is. If you want to start adding four strokes, great. The main reason I visit is the diagnostics, which are first rate. No-one else comes close.
I have only been in the small engine repair game for about six years, but I have yet to run into a blown up Briggs engine of any kind. Everyone talks badly about them, but I have nothing but good things to say about them. They always seem to come back around for me. I love them. The only engine I ever really run into that are blown up are the Powermores.
If you have the time and it makes sense for you guys to have two channels! A lot of work! But it would be good to see repairs on other equipment! Call it “Married to bigger engines”!
I think you should keep your channel as is. I should comment more, but I really love your content mostly because you are not selling stuff, just showing people how to test and fix stuff. Lots of people would be interested in the new channel with the larger equipment, it might make economic sense to add them to the current channel... that's above my pay grade. But don't start selling stuff, your content is what people like, hopefully the advertising makes it worth your time.
I say start the other channel. I will be watching because I love watching repairs of mowers or any mechanical equipment. For me, the sooner the better. I love your channel you have now. Thank you for the tour of your shop. That was a great ideal to show it.
Hi Erica Thanks for the shop tour. I would do a separate channel for the larger equipment. With respect to chainsaws, might be interesting to do a few specialty videos, e.g. what to look for if you are buying a used saw, sharpening, cleaning your saw, rebuilding a carb…
I wouldn’t lunch a new channel I would mix it in here. I would watch the larger equipment repairs and troubleshooting as well as the chainsaws and stuff. Your methodical approach to troubleshooting is what I like watching. Your style reminds me of Watch Wes Work. Don’t change your style.
Thank you for the tour. Off hand I would say keep the channels seperate. I do trail maintenance and have learned alot about chainsaws and how to care for them watching your channel. You do a good job explaining what you are doing, about the repair(s) and the consequences of the issue(s). I would watch your new channel to learn about how to work on mowers and such.
I’d enjoy a separate channel, and I would subscribe. I subscribed to Married to Small Engines, because it a unique, detailed Stihl step-by-step repair channel that no one else does; pressure/Vac test, component testing and replacing. Than’s for the shop tour Erica!
I would say "go for it!" I have learned so much about chain saws from your videos. I am not qualified yet to do much beyond messing them up, but I understand much better what can go wrong and how they come apart.
Creat shop tour video Erika. Wish I had such a nice work space. Your videos are so instructive and helpful to me. When asked what I'm doing, I usually reply that I'm in small engine school with Erika !
I fix all manner of gas powered equipment so one or two channels the more new information the better. I have seen a few early videos of Tyler restoring older Lawn Tractors and they were great information. Both of you do a great job. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I'll watch any kind of repair videos. Like I said, I have only been doing it for about six years, and I am 100% self taught. I mainly fix and flip right now, but I plan to begin doing consistent customer work this coming Spring. I am interesting in learning to better troubleshoot and diagnose anything. We don't have snowblowers in the southern US where I am located, so I am always interested in learning more about them. I would love to see any kind of in depth diagnostic videos from professionals.
I wouldnt mind it either way ya wanna do it. I love mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, etc. I like repair and maintenance videos, tips n tricks, how to and refurbishing videos. I cant remember the name of the channel, but theres a guy I watched that bought mowers and saws cheap that needed repairs. He'd take em and do the repairs and refurbishing best he could and resell them. It wasn't his income, but he was good at it and it was interesting content. I've learned a fair bit from watchin your cause and effect and diagnostics videos.
Married with yard equipment be a good name but whatever it is I think your on to a good idea.. I’ll certainly be watching as well if you do a second channel
I’d enjoy watching lawn mowers and tractors and snow blowers being worked on. Do I need another channel to sub to and watch? No, but I’d do it anyway. Looking forward to whatever you two decide to do
Enjoyed you tour, and TrueType enjoy the way you do your videos, you make the project interesting and you not only show how it’s done but in your style you teach, and we are your students….. yes I would in joy seeing more videos on the larger equipment….
Do whatever for videos. After seeing this tour and your bench the first thing that came to mind was a Tree Monkey chainsaw vice. Scott Kunz makes them and has a channel on UA-cam. If I worked on the amount of saws you do I would be looking for something like that.👍
i think a second channel would be great , i love your videos on the chainsaws and small 2 stroke engine stuff , i have been repairing small engine garden equipment for a hobby for around 30 years , stihl items for 20 of those , i still pick up new things from watching your videos , like the oil round the seal for vac leaks , keep up the good videos ,
Earlier, you were doing a series of picking a derelict, rundown tractor from your bone yard and trying to get it going again. Been wondering if you are ever gonna do that again. As for the repair videos on additional types of equipment, I don't think a separate channel is necessary for that, per se. You can put all in one channel and make playlists. But I would watch those as well.
If you have enough repairs and goings on i would do two separate channels, but maybe do a few test videos on here and see how they do before you start the other channel. If you do a second channel I recommend the mower whisperer or the small engine doctor.
Old Bobcat snowblowers are the best.... No gearbox to blow out or pins to break. I also had a Honda 928 & 1132..... When I sold the Honda's I told em 'don't replace them with regular bolts!" the pins are designed to break & effectively save this gearbox so buy genuine Honda pins.
Thanks for the tour of your great shop and working Life! Here in Detroit, I live in the city and my 3 sons live in the country and they supply me with small engines to work on. Some are theirs and others the they acquire usually for just taking them away. Recently for free, Toro single stage snowthrower, leaf blower and Toro lawnmower, all three now running perfectly. More free stuff waiting for repairs; outboard motors (2), Jessica, Ford 8n tractor and the is more! I can't keep up but it is fun. UA-cam'rs like you, educate me on how to work on this stuff. BTW, one of the oldest engines that I am working one at the moment is a circa 1936 German military 2cy, 2hp field generator engine. This is a rare engine here in my part of the world. It to, was found at the curb for free! I would love to be a viewer for your possible new UA-cam channel.
I like the idea of some mower or snowblower service and repairs. To be honest, I am not sure how much time I have to add another channel to watch. I learn from ever video, so that would be good.
I Think 2 Channels Is Great One For Your 2 Stroke Videos and A Channel For Tyler’s ZTR and Other Repairs 😀😇👍🏼 Great Idea Guys The Shop Tour Was Great 😀
Im back, Freezer full of meat, i didnt want to come home, 034 quit, took 026 pro for backup, its just so nice at camp, no noise, no people, just myself and a dog
love to see both channels .you do such a good job of your channel ,and im sure some of that will rub off on to his . im looking forward to seeing this happen !
MarriedWithLargeEngines! I agree keeping the channels separate will help the original viewers happy woth your original style. You can also reference each channel fron the others in their own descriptions. Having the content woth the 4 stroke engines especially diagnostic and repairs sounds like a great idea Erika! Good luck!!! Been watching for a long time!
I say do everything on one channel. Variety is the spice of life. Show all kinds of repairs on the same channel please. Doing only one type of repair will get monotonous after a while. I very much appreciate and enjoy your thorough and systematic approach to repair. By watching your videos you just may have saved my chainsaw. My saw was running great then started bogging down and wouldn’t stay running. I watched your video on fuel lines sucking air and your warning not to mess with the carburetor. Tomorrow it goes into the shop
As a lawn care guy i wolud live to see the repairs and diagnostics of ur lawn equipment. Definitely would watch just like i do with the chainsaw repairs. Love ur videos. Thanks Erica from th US
Keeping the channels separate is a good idea. I love watching videos on all types of equipment. I myself have 3 Echo trimmers, 2 Honda generators, a John Deere riding mower and two Honda walk-behind mowers. I’m considering a chainsaw and have learned a great deal watching your videos. Your method of determining the cause of the issue is second to none in my book. Like you already know, anything can wrong with a piece of equipment even if you take great care of it. I say, go for it! I’ll be a subscriber for sure.
I think two channels is ok, I will watch them both. However if it presents production issues (twice as much filming and editing) you could do it on one channel. I would love to see more videos on different types of equipment.
thank you for your videos i would love to see a second channel if its easier for you guys but im fine with them combined, although separate may be more lucrative i love all your videos and you both are talented mechanics i definitely want more lawn and snow blower content so i am looking forward to this thanks again and God bless
Good Evening! I am so happy that you are here! Quick Surprise Video Tonight! I Will take you all on a quick shop tour! And I have some questions for you all. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! What should we do?
OOOPS, summer tyres in Canada in the winter...
I'd say go ahead what is the most convenient for you and what makes you happy. I would watch a 2nd channel but I'd be okay as well having one channel with all stuff. BR from Germany
Yes, I would like to see another channel with the mowers

Don't need a separate channel. Mix and match repairs. Keep up the good work. Nice to see a Canadian channel.
Came here to say the same thing! :)
There are a few UA-cam stars featuring small engine repair like Steve’s Small Engine Saloon & Donyboy73.
@@slipperyblueclay2521Right on buddy
Hi Steve! Thanks for stopping in!

Yes, I love repair videos on four stroke engines of any type of equipment

He’s not a hoarder, he’s a collector. The difference is that a collector knows what they have. that’s why he found the flywheel😂 nice video.
Good one! 😁
I agree.
You have the personality and experience to make it all work! Go for it good luck!!!
I would definitely watch more of the bigger stuff that Tyler used to film. I don't mind if it's all in together.
I would like to see you repair other small equipment, like weed eaters, handheld and backpack blowers, hedge clippers, edgers, etc.
I don’t know if you get a lot of those types of repairs, but it would be nice to see a greater variety of two stroke repairs.

A new channel sounds great, I think there will be a large audience for ride on mowers and especially zero turn mowers 😊
Personally, i like your channel just the way it is. If you want to start adding four strokes, great. The main reason I visit is the diagnostics, which are first rate. No-one else comes close.
Thank you!
Haha I’ve fixed 4snowblowers this last week of first snow fly..tis’ the season! 😂 1LOVE! 🐺⚒️⚙️
Yes, always an interest in repairs😊
Married to Mowers Blowers and much more😊
Any mechanical repair video is good for me. Specially if you go into the full drivetrain on different equipment.
I would definitely watch an additional channel.
I have only been in the small engine repair game for about six years, but I have yet to run into a blown up Briggs engine of any kind. Everyone talks badly about them, but I have nothing but good things to say about them. They always seem to come back around for me. I love them. I think it works well. Another channel with different machine repairs will do just fine.
I would like to see a second channel on small engine and equipment repair
Go for it Erika and Tyler would be great to see
Great insight into the workshop. I would watch more videos on blowers and mowers, I think it would be better together.
Would love to see more engine repairs! 😊
If you have the time and it makes sense for you guys to have two channels! A lot of work! But it would be good to see repairs on other equipment! Call it “Married to bigger engines”!
Separate. I would watch both, but my main interest is chainsaws, which you do better than anyone else!
I think you should keep your channel as is. I should comment more, but I really love your content mostly because you are not selling stuff, just showing people how to test and fix stuff. Lots of people would be interested in the new channel with the larger equipment, it might make economic sense to add them to the current channel... that's above my pay grade. I hear you! I really appreciate your support.
Great shop tour. Great shoutout to Ken’s small engines. The answer is yes to a second channel. Keep it up!
Thank you so much for watching!
Love the idea. I'd watch it whether it's separate or combined. (Married with small engines & more.)
yes please Erica for a second channel i love your video`s thank you kev
I watch all your videos, no matter what you're fixing, i'll be tuned in... just kee4p on doin what you do, big or small engines...
Awesome tour of your facility! Really brings home a personal touch for us folks far away. Thanks for sharing!
Might be challenging doing 4stroke videos in peak season. I know we do long hours and customer equipment pile grows fast during the season.
100% yes, too, the other channel " Tyler's tool time "
I say start the other channel. I will be watching because I love watching repairs of mowers or any mechanical equipment. For me, the sooner the better. I love your channel you have now. Thank you for the tour of your shop. That was a great ideal to show it.
Thank you 😊 !!
Sure , your channel is soft spoken yet very interesting . I enjoy every video. I don’t even own a chainsaw but I love watching your channel !
Thanks so much, I appreciate that!
Some days I think you should call your chain saw lineup the walk of shame.
Hi Erica
Thanks for the shop tour.
I would do a separate channel for the larger equipment. With respect to chainsaws, might be interesting to do a few specialty videos, e.g. what to look for if you are buying a used saw, sharpening, cleaning your saw, rebuilding a carb…
The second channel idea is an amazing idea. I would subscribe to it
I wouldn’t lunch a new channel I would mix it in here. I would watch the larger equipment repairs and troubleshooting as well as the chainsaws and stuff. Your methodical approach to troubleshooting is what I like watching. Your style reminds me of Watch Wes Work. Don’t change your style.

Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
I would say "go for it!" I have learned so much about chain saws from your videos. I am not qualified yet to do much beyond messing them up, but I understand much better what can go wrong and how they come apart.
Thanks for the shout out Erica. All small engine guys and gals are welcome to the weekly Live Stream! How about Married with Small Engines - Big Stuff
Hi Ken! Your live stream has the best bunch of guys and gals a person could ask for!! 😊
Good one Kenny. How about "Married with Small Engines 2.0 - The Bigger Stuff"
Love your chain saw/ small engine tips and presentation. This is my evening wind down and rest therapy, your calm demeanor never fails.

Or maybe
MarriedWithOtherEngines
Took the title right out of my mouth. !!
Thank you!! 😊
Glad Tyler is keeping used parts to save the customer some money
I love old parts , I cringe every time I throw something in the scrap bin … a few times I’ve dug things back out of the scrap bin
As a lawn care guy i wolud live to see the repairs and diagnostics of ur lawn equipment. Definitely would watch just like i do with the chainsaw repairs. Love ur videos. Thanks Erica from th US
Thank you!
I would like to see what Tyler does that would be kool.I would watch.
I really learn how to maintain my STHIL FARM BOSS MS 271 by watching your videos. I would definitely watch your new channel!
Awesome! Thank you!
thank you for your videos
i would love to see a second channel if its easier for you guys but im fine with them combined, although separate may be more lucrative
i love all your videos and you both are talented mechanics
i definitely want more lawn and snow blower content so i am looking forward to this
thanks again and God bless
