Thanks Mr Wibbs, I too struggle seeing under 5mm. hoping the jig will help, I need to try it with smaller bits. As I have the 24 holes on the indexing plate would grinding the cutting edge at 7 degrees and then the clearance at 20 having advanced the indexer one hole help with the facets meeting at the point ? You'll have far more luck grinding tiny drills than I will - you have a nice diamond wheel, and repeatable advance. For getting the facets to meet at the centre, you just need very slightly more advance on the 20° cut.
