Technically not, she became a ghost of what she wanted to be, since she went into the dimentional world to become the beauty itself. Sectonia said on her final battle (soul) that she forgot what is her real form (like our boy Taranza), but known diffrerent forms and possesed many bodies. And she wants now is her "true eternal beauty rest"

I love how Triple Deluxe has its main leitmotif woven through its entire soundtrack. It gives the game a great sense of cohesion, and is a big part of what gives the final boss its impact (since as it turns out, this was Sectonia's theme all along). So Moonstruck Blossom comes on you can't help thinking "It all comes down to this." As much as I adore C-R-O-W-N-E-D, it doesn't even come close.
Planet Robobot? It was awesome. That final boss came right out of left field (yes--I played KSS) but it worked so well. If I had to rank modern Kirby games: PR > TD > RtDL > SA but it's *very* close on the top two.

This has to be one of the most deepest final boss themes i've ever heard. It fits with the regality of Sectonia, and shows a bit of a jazzy side. Not only that, this feels like your fighting for something beyond beauty. Something... to save lives of many others who have suffered under her crooked ruling.
I also found this theme to sound kind of sad in a way... dunno how to explain it. Just something about the tone and the feel, some of the instruments, just kind of give off this somber mood. Almost as if the music itself kind of feels bad for Queen Sectonia herself. Seeing as how Sectonia herself wasn't really bad. But was corrupted by this so called "Dimensional mirror."
Ah... It feels nice revisiting this theme every now and then. It's honestly my definitive comfort boss theme from this franchise. So epic, yet beautiful and tragic. Queen Sectonia, fused with the Dreamstalk and battling Kirby under the moon, the rising sun soon at hand... A beautiful setpiece for a beautiful song and boss fight, no?
Sectonia is my favorite antagonist in this series. Her backstory speaks to me the most. Her personality in game is cool, collected and intimidating as a villain should be. Her abilities and attacks are some of the coolest in the series. Finally her transformation makes for an interesting and kick ass boss fight in Dreamstalk Sectonia. Fantastic antagonist for this fantastic series

It could if you're fighting what amounts to a tragic character. Then yeah sort of. Sectonia wasn't always insane apparently. It was just too late for her.
She really is tragic. The game wants you to believe that Sectonia was the true main antagonist and was only using Taranza. In truth, it was neither of them. It was Dark Meta Knight.
Something I never really thought about... Soul of Sectonia may very well be the most powerful adversary Kirby has ever faced, bar Void Termina who is a literal destroyer of worlds. She absorbs FOUR Hypernova fruits before fighting Kirby, of which just ONE transforms Kirby into what is likely his most powerful form yet. And he manages to beat her WITHOUT Hypernova. Just goes to show how strong Kirby truly is. Too bad this fight isn't technically canon.
Well what beats Sectonia level of power is Termina insides literally being the source of Dark Matter. Which is crazy when you think about it. Source Of DarkMatter depends on emotions. Which is how Gooey and Possibly Kirby were made!
Even without the Hypernova fruit Sectonia is probably the only Kirby Villain who he simply couldn't beat alone. While Kirby has had help against other bosses in the series like against Nightmare, Void, and Zero, Queen Sectonia is the only boss where it would be impossible for Kirby to win without help, heck Dedede and Taranza have to jump in at the last second before she finishes Kirby off.
I think the True Arena only serves as a "What If" scenario because that's how Powerful Kirby is. Being even buffed versions of said bosses while being nerfed himself
Triple Deluxe was my first Kirby game I ever played. I have so many memories tied to it. Hearing this takes me back in all honesty. Thank you for sharing this and having it survive the Nintendo Copyright Purge.

Man, when this song really hits me, it hits hard. It's such a great final boss theme. It's epic, it's triumphant, it's ominous but it also has that sense of "goodbye" to it. It's very sad. Not only does it detail the end of Kirby's adventure, your adventure, but it also gives me a very "I don't wanna do this, but you need to go" feel to it
Sectonia is such a hard boss... I feel so bad for her in a way. I feel even worse for Taranza. That 'amazing' Mirror... God I want to freaking smash it. All it does is cause pain. For Meta Knight, and now for Taranza and Sectonia. I sure hope Dedede broke it for good.

1. Sectonia was corrupted by the mirror. The backstory is well hidden, but it's there. Taranza and Sectonia used to be friends but the Mirror made her more and more obsessed with beauty until she forgot who Taranza was and tried to take Pop Star over with the vines. At the end of the game Taranza helps you after the mind control that is effecting him wears off after damaging Sectonia enough. 2. I'm talking about Dark Meta Knight, who has spread Meta Knight's name in evil. Dark Meta Knight has caused all kinds of chaos that Meta Knight has to deal with at the end because apparently, no one in pop star can tell the difference between them. 3. Dedede did smash the mirror. It was undoubtedly the same, it summoned Dark Meta Knight in exactly the same way as it did in Amazing Mirror. And besides, when has another mirror ever been confirmed?

Definitely in the top 3 bosses for me when it comes to kirby bosses. Star dream is my #1. Sectonia and drawcia usually fight for #2. They both are great.

I swear Taranza and Sectonia are the most unfortunate beings in pop star (well, more of the skies of pop star.) The two being great friends (and possibly more.) So Taranza decides to give a gift of *amazing* beauty. But it ends up corrupting her over time thanks to the influence of Dark meta knight, turning her into a Beauty obsessed Tyrant, and Taranza has to come to terms with that she's a lost hope and assist in finally putting her to rest. But the poor guy still misses her so much and even though he knows there's no way she can return he still tries, just hoping to see her one more time. Screw dark mind and dark meta knight, they're just absolutely irredeemable assholes at this point.

This song shows Sectonia's backstory so well! The electric guitars were blaring out in part 1 of the fight but are now faint whispers heard occasionally in the song. Sectonia's unbalanced and keeps forgetting who she is, which is reflected here.
this is such a beautiful soundtrack. it's one of the reasons why Kirby Triple Deluxe is my favorite Kirby game. I remember this track would always make me tear up, especially after I read the boss description in the pause screen. basically, it said that Sectonia got so consumed with the desire of looking beautiful, due to the mirror's corruption, that she couldn't even remember what her true form was anymore. and the only way to save her was to give her "the eternal beauty sleep she so desires." it was especially sad knowing that Taranza, her closest friend, gave her the mirror out of love, and now has to live knowing that it caused all of this. it's just so tragic. :'( Kirby Planet Robobot also had a tragic villain backstory. Haltmann losing his daughter to an accident and doing whatever it takes to bring her back, to the point of activating Star Dream and basically having the machine consume his soul. there's just so much deep lore and dark themes in Kirby games, yet people always judge them as "baby games." Kirby games are so underrated...

What worries me is that we don't know what happened to the mirror after Sectonia was manipulated by it. Unless Taranza personally saw to destroying it, there's still the potential for someone else to become under it's control in the future.

As the first platforming game I ever played, Triple Deluxe was a masterpiece of a game to me, and it still is. I remember this song being the first time I ever took a moment to appreciate video game soundtracks.
Kirby has amazing tracks as its games. Every title having some different touch to another in terms of mechanics and story. 2d pixel titles are great too, give it a try.
Although in her case it was more like how desire to be beautiful (she does not wish to be POWERFUL, she wished to be BEAUTIFUL ETERNALLY) turn women into monster. Very common for female powerful beings to seek power to turn themselves into stunning beauties, and if possible, maintain that beauty eternally. Heck even some men, if feminine enough, desire power not to be powerful but to be beautiful.
Gogomario24 especially at high volume, but not too high that it could rupture your eardrums. and if you're confident, you can hum and whistle along. I do so when no one is around, however, others are more confident than I am about vocal prowess.
You know, I feel kind of bad for Sectonia. she wasn't always evil, the power just went to her head. When you compare that to villains like Magolor and Marx, who, for all we know, were always insane and want nothing but world domination, she seems pretty deep, especially considering this is a KIRBY game. Kirby games have been progressively having more depth ever since Epic Yarn - Return to Dream Land and Triple Deluxe have some of the best stories in Kirby's history....though it isn't as if I'm saying much there. Let's hope Robobot manages to be the best of them all.

The Kirby games got better after RtD, but the oldies had their own special place in my heart. The new ones just have more climactic elements to it. I really love how Kirby has evolved.
Poor Sectonia she literally was corrupted by a mirror that was Dark Meta Knights doing. Taranza just wanted to give her a nice gift so he could confess his love later. And Taranza after this fight (and technically the Soul fight) has no way of confessing anymore poor Taranza.

Damn, I love this! The word play with the pronunciation and definition of the different kanji... it's fantastic and one of the reasons why I love the Japanese language so much! Also other similar languages like Chinese and Korean.
Technically not, she became a ghost of what she wanted to be, since she went into the dimentional world to become the beauty itself. Sectonia said on her final battle (soul) that she forgot what is her real form (like our boy Taranza), but known diffrerent forms and possesed many bodies. And she wants now is her "true eternal beauty rest"

I love how Triple Deluxe has its main leitmotif woven through its entire soundtrack. It gives the game a great sense of cohesion, and is a big part of what gives the final boss its impact (since as it turns out, this was Sectonia's theme all along). So Moonstruck Blossom comes on you can't help thinking "It all comes down to this." As much as I adore C-R-O-W-N-E-D, it doesn't even come close.
Now that PR is out, what's your opinion on it?
Planet Robobot? It was awesome. That final boss came right out of left field (yes--I played KSS) but it worked so well.
If I had to rank modern Kirby games: PR > TD > RtDL > SA but it's *very* close on the top two.

This has to be one of the most deepest final boss themes i've ever heard. It fits with the regality of Sectonia, and shows a bit of a jazzy side. Not only that, this feels like your fighting for something beyond beauty. Something... to save lives of many others who have suffered under her crooked ruling.

Ah... It feels nice revisiting this theme every now and then. It's honestly my definitive comfort boss theme from this franchise.
So epic, yet beautiful and tragic. Queen Sectonia, fused with the Dreamstalk and battling Kirby under the moon, the rising sun soon at hand... A beautiful setpiece for a beautiful song and boss fight, no?
Sectonia is my favorite antagonist in this series. Her backstory speaks to me the most. Her personality in game is cool, collected and intimidating as a villain should be. Her abilities and attacks are some of the coolest in the series. Finally her transformation makes for an interesting and kick ass boss fight in Dreamstalk Sectonia. Fantastic antagonist for this fantastic series

Soul of Sectonia may very well be the most powerful adversary Kirby has ever faced, bar Void Termina who is a literal destroyer of worlds.
She absorbs FOUR Hypernova fruits before fighting Kirby, of which just ONE transforms Kirby into what is likely his most powerful form yet. And he manages to beat her WITHOUT Hypernova. Just goes to show how strong Kirby truly is. Too bad this fight isn't technically canon.
Well what beats Sectonia level of power is Termina insides literally being the source of Dark Matter. Which is crazy when you think about it. Source Of DarkMatter depends on emotions. Which is how Gooey and Possibly Kirby were made!

Even without the Hypernova fruit Sectonia is probably the only Kirby Villain who he simply couldn't beat alone.
While Kirby has had help against other bosses in the series like against Nightmare, Void, and Zero, Queen Sectonia is the only boss where it would be impossible for Kirby to win without help, heck Dedede and Taranza have to jump in at the last second before she finishes Kirby off.
I think the True Arena only serves as a "What If" scenario because that's how Powerful Kirby is. Being even buffed versions of said bosses while being nerfed himself

Man, when this song really hits me, it hits hard. It's such a great final boss theme. It's epic, it's triumphant, it's ominous but it also has that sense of "goodbye" to it. It's very sad. Not only does it detail the end of Kirby's adventure, your adventure, but it also gives me a very "I don't wanna do this, but you need to go" feel to it

1. Sectonia was corrupted by the mirror. The backstory is well hidden, but it's there. Taranza and Sectonia used to be friends but the Mirror made her more and more obsessed with beauty until she forgot who Taranza was and tried to take Pop Star over with the vines. At the end of the game Taranza helps you after the mind control that is effecting him wears off after damaging Sectonia enough.
2. I'm talking about Dark Meta Knight, who has spread Meta Knight's name in evil. Dark Meta Knight has caused all kinds of chaos that Meta Knight has to deal with at the end because apparently, no one in pop star can tell the difference between them.
3. Dedede did smash the mirror. It was undoubtedly the same, it summoned Dark Meta Knight in exactly the same way as it did in Amazing Mirror. And besides, when has another mirror ever been confirmed?

Star dream is my #1. Sectonia and drawcia usually fight for #2. They both are great.

I swear Taranza and Sectonia are the most unfortunate beings in pop star (well, more of the skies of pop star.) The two being great friends (and possibly more.) So Taranza decides to give a gift of *amazing* beauty. But it ends up corrupting her over time thanks to the influence of Dark meta knight, turning her into a Beauty obsessed Tyrant, and Taranza has to come to terms with that she's a lost hope and assist in finally putting her to rest. But the poor guy still misses her so much and even though he knows there's no way she can return he still tries, just hoping to see her one more time. Screw dark mind and dark meta knight, they're just absolutely irredeemable assholes at this point.

This song shows Sectonia's backstory so well! The electric guitars were blaring out in part 1 of the fight but are now faint whispers heard occasionally in the song. Sectonia's unbalanced and keeps forgetting who she is, which is reflected here.

this is such a beautiful soundtrack. it's one of the reasons why Kirby Triple Deluxe is my favorite Kirby game. I remember this track would always make me tear up, especially after I read the boss description in the pause screen. basically, it said that Sectonia got so consumed with the desire of looking beautiful, due to the mirror's corruption, that she couldn't even remember what her true form was anymore. and the only way to save her was to give her "the eternal beauty sleep she so desires." it was especially sad knowing that Taranza, her closest friend, gave her the mirror out of love, and now has to live knowing that it caused all of this. it's just so tragic. :'(
Kirby Planet Robobot also had a tragic villain backstory. Haltmann losing his daughter to an accident and doing whatever it takes to bring her back, to the point of activating Star Dream and basically having the machine consume his soul. there's just so much deep lore and dark themes in Kirby games, yet people always judge them as "baby games." Kirby games are so underrated...
Kirby is and always will be one *badass old school character.* He’s unstoppable. Kirby did whatever he could to protect the Dreamstalk and he did. Kirby should have his own crown.

As the first platforming game I ever played, Triple Deluxe was a masterpiece of a game to me, and it still is. I remember this song being the first time I ever took a moment to appreciate video game soundtracks.
Kirby has amazing tracks as its games. Every title having some different touch to another in terms of mechanics and story. 2d pixel titles are great too, give it a try.

You know, I feel kind of bad for Sectonia. she wasn't always evil, the power just went to her head. When you compare that to villains like Magolor and Marx, who, for all we know, were always insane and want nothing but world domination, she seems pretty deep, especially considering this is a KIRBY game.
Kirby games have been progressively having more depth ever since Epic Yarn - Return to Dream Land and Triple Deluxe have some of the best stories in Kirby's history....though it isn't as if I'm saying much there. Let's hope Robobot manages to be the best of them all.
