Scouting Report on 2024 NHL Draft Prospect Anton Silayev with game highlights and stats. A breakdown his game and the positives and negatives aspects. #nhldraft
He's not going to get you 50 pts a year but he's definitely going to be a minute munching D. He's a decent skater, has that long reach and definitely will be breaking up a few plays. His Defense seems to be off the charts and this is definitely what teams will be looking for. I'd take him for my Wings anytime.
Hi. I love your videos and analytics but why you use videos from last year when Silayev played in MHL. All this season he plays in KHL and you can't find any video with him? Some young players change in absolutely other players just for one season. I saw many games with Silayev last year in MHL and many games this year in KHL. And he grows in absolutely all important hockey components: in skating, in physical and defensive play and especially in offense play. His game not always consistent but its alright for 17 years old teenager. You should show it in this year videos. I hope my english not so awful and you understand what i wrote. From Russia with love.
Thanks for watching! I can't use KHL videos due to copyright issues. Last year I had to pull all my Russian prospect videos because of this. So I now only use MHL content and since Silayev didn't play in the MHL at all this year, I didn't have any highlights of that to show. But he's definitely improved in some areas of his game. Unfortunately I couldn't show that.
That’s really unfortunate, would have really liked to see more recent stuff. Either way, you worked with what you had available and still put up a good video. Great work!
Great video! I find myself much lower on him than consensus (10-15 range). Not sure if his offensive skills will ever come far enough to justify him in the top 5. He definitely has some certainty to him, just worry it might be a Gudbranson style pick, where you draft a guy high who doesn't have the tools to play much beyond a #4 D
Yeah Silayev could definitely drop a bit depending on the needs of a team, but with that size and mobility I find it hard for NHL teams to pass that up!
boy, do you have the worst commenters, turn it off, why are they even here? only good commenter asked how can you assess him without KHL highlights, you're showing a 6'6 16 year old. naysayers seem to have no idea of the difference in mobility of 6'7 basketball vs. on skates, if I didn't see it, I would think it's impossible.
Weird to me: Grant McCagg says, "KHL is a watered down league", yet is glowing about Silayev. Also weird, so many people were talking about Simashev having a low ceiling last year, mainly because of his lack of offense. Meanwhile we're seeing constant Hedman comparisons with Silayev.
i dont get what you guys are pretending to see with tsilayev and yakemchuk. both lack the hockey iq and stick skills to be reliable NHL D. idgaf how big they are or how they skate.. not even extremely impressed with the skating of either tbh.
Welcome to NJ
Great detailed video. Superb breakdown. Welcome to the NJ Anton🎉 what a steal at 10
Ecstatic we got Anton at #10 😎 Let's Go Devils 😈🏒
Lets go Devils!!! 😈 🤘

Thought of a few more since the Demdiov video - all 3 euro defensemen: Dominik Badinka, Alfons Freij, & Adam Jiricek
Great additions! Thanks!
Imagine Sharks draft him and have a pairing of him and Mukhamadullin. Got to be the tallest pairing😂😂
Monsters!
Devils took him, realizing we made the mistake adding him in the Timo trade lol
Ему 17 .И он гигант .Если все получится у него .Это звезда НХЛ .Он скромный,трудолюбивый .Играет в КХЛ с мастерами и выглядит ,как мужчина

@@cl7557 Thank you! Really appreciate the support!
the KHL playoffs have started
Silayev's team is playing SKA. games have been electric
Playoff hockey is the best!!!
Can we see a video on Artamonov? 🙏🏻
I hope the Blackhawks take him. We need a strong defensive defenseman. Haven’t had one since Hjalmarsson.
If the Hawks don't land #1...this would be a great pick up.
Parekh he’s so fun to watch
For sure!
Might be a stretch but a Lucas Pettersson video would be sick. I think he should be picked at the back end of round 1.
I'll try to get as many prospects out before draft, so he may end up making the cut. Just depends
Nice video. Let’s see Lindstrom
Thanks for watching! Lindstrom is a popular one for sure and yes he's on the list!
Lmao nothing similar but ok 😂

I’ll take him in SJ @ 14 if he’s ZB is gone (and he will).
Sharks then need to draft some high offense D next year
If he was a righty he would go 1st overall.
No shot. Celebrini is at least 2 tiers above anyone in this draft class
A lefty. Hawks won't want him. What's his contract? Can he go 4?
I’d love to see Sasha Boisvert some were comparing him to the Tkachuk bros. Big power forward playing at centre. I have him in the first round
Yes to Boisvert!
Let’s see a iggy jr 🤝
YUP!
Welcome to Team Russia in Columbus Anton!!!
Do you like him more than Simashev last year?
Yes. I find that his skating is great and he is very good defensively. And he's doing all of this as a 17 year old. Kid's gonna be a beast!
Would love to see a Terik Parascak report, him and Berkly Catton are so fun to watch in the WHL
Perfect! They are on the list!
Welcome to the Ducks!!!
NICE!
You mean NJ
I’d like a video on Tij Iginla
Coming soon!

Seems at worst he’ll be a #4 defensemen, but at that size what a bargain.
Size and mobility with some edge to his game...works nice for a D!
I’d like to see emery, bednarik or Humphreys
Andrew Basha
Basha, Lindstrom and McKenna...that's some amazing youth in Medicine Hat!
Idk id like to see more offensive tools. He had a mature game but I wouldn’t have him top ten.

Not impressed. Don’t want Habs to pick up that guy.
I just don't see it. He is tall sure but I don't see top 10 talent here.

Bro this guy is not even top 7
