Thorpe and Tuch don't get enough attention. Saw them both in the rookie tournament against Toronto. Thorpe is huge at six five, skates like the wind and can finish. Tuch is also huge, fast and likes to hit and will surprise you with some offense. I see both these guys on the 4th line for the habs when they clear out the aging bad contracts

What's your opinion on where he best projects to play? Top line center, 2nd line center or winger at the NHL level.

Big year for this kid, as of now I don't believe he's a top 5 player but it looks like he may be on his way there this year. I'll definitely be watching him closely this year as he's off to a super start.

After watching Cristall this preseason: If he progresses in 24-25 the way he did in 23-24, I think GMCP will be making a lot of phone calls to clear a roster spot for him in 25-26 (EDIT: especially if Leonard opts to stay at BC for his Junior year). I know as of today (9/28/2024 @ 3pm EDT), he still hasn't been sent down to Juniors (Caps just announced the latest round of cuts); That in itself is telling IMO of how well he's played; that said, I don't think he's played well enough to leapfrog guys ahead of him in experience like Miro or Lappy. Happy to be surprised, though: I love his playing style, & I still think the Caps getting him at 40th overall last year was an absolute steal...

He's been on fire to start the year! He keeps this up he's definitely getting back in top 5 discussions. Super smart player, but i personally see him more as a support guy than leading offensive engine in the NHL

I'm a huge Blackhawks fan and based on where McQueen is projected to go in the draft and where the Hawks are projected to finish, he could be in the mix for them. But I am very hesitant to draft him as of now. I see shades of Kirby Dach, which was a disaster for the Hawks drafting him #3 and he has looked underwhelming with the Habs so far.

Big Sharks fan and I fully expect them to improve this upcoming season but also challenge for the lowest points total in 24-25. An addition of Hagens to play alongside Celebrini, Smith and all the other young talent would be insane. In 3 years time the Sharks will have the deepest young roster in the NHL and vet talent will clamor to “know the way to San Jose” to compete the roster.
