Triggerfish are pretty smart. I spent a couple of weeks in Grand Cayman a long time ago and would snorkel in an area near Rum Point almost every day. There was a huge Queen triggerfish that would follow me around the whole time because I'd turn over rocks and it would find critters like brittle stars for it to eat. Thanks for taking us along, and showing how you smoke fish on a grill.
I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I greatly appreciate how you always pay respect to God and you take “Momma” along. That’s awesome and I love your content. I really like how you explain what you’re doing. Have you ever added anything about what you look for on your electronics when you’re fishing? I wish you and your family the very best and keep the content coming. 😊
Stephen , I have never posted this before but I'd rather watch your videos than anything else posted on UA-cam. And that is NOT an exaggeration. Thank you for your videos. I'd love to see you go after wahoo!
Baked trigger fish Pre- heat oven to 375 deg Gut and de-gill Wash season of your choice in the cavity and on the skin Wrap in foil or cover with foil in a baking pan. Bake for about 25 mins. Peel off the skin and eat off the bone. Can also grill in the skin. Great fish for kids because of the lack of small bones
WOW that smoked fish was easy! I've only ever seen it done the Alaskan way, with a dedicated smoker, that takes hours and hours. Yours is a much better method 👍
I just love your channel specifically the catch, clean, cook videos. It makes me wanna get out and fish and try new recipes. Keep up the good work man we love it here.
That was tons of fun! The king mackerel catch was so cool. The trigger fish & snapper cooking was a great technique I’m going to try. We have got a smoker like y’all’s so thanks for the how-to.❤️😊
Never thought about using mayonnaise in smoked fish. Something new for me to try next redfish or snook. I typically use soft butter, then use a blackening seasoning. You can’t beat that and now I am going to try mayonnaise. I also do grilled cheese sandwiches with mayonnaise and no one has figured out why my grilled cheese are so good. Got a new recipe today! Thanks Stephen!!!
That’s crazy on those triggerfish. Had to look up the regulations here in Texas. Maximum of 20 per day … 16” from nose to tips of tail. No max length. And no on or off season. Crazy the difference. And just wanted to say … you need to be a guide! Love your videos!
dude fish looked great, fishin even better, good info on tackle an that little tease with the plate fried me up,gonna down to joe patties! godbless an this was a good vid..
What a great day; I picked up my near mint condition 1989 Toyota 4WD from some maintenance, and come home to another great video. As always, Stephen, thanks for sharing your time and experience and God Bless you and your family. It makes me really happy to see you always safe with as much solo fishing as you do. (Except for that one time in your new-to-you Jon boat. That kinda scared me.) 😮 One thing to add though; QUIT MAKING ME SO HUNGRY ALL THE TIME!! 😎😏
Great video as always! If you see the jalapenos with what look like lines or stretch marks....those are going to be hotter than the ones without. Look forward to the next video
Steven I noticed you climbed on your trailer to hook up the winch strap. Have you ever looked into the Dratto latch? Easy install and works like a champ. I’ve had one for 2 years and it awesome.
Excellent video Steven! That smoked fish, ooooo wow Sooo mouth watering! Ha ha Either way I know someone went out and bought them a Weber smoking setup 😂 good work brother!!
Trigger fish is my favorite eating fish. I'm yet to try wahoo. Next time you put your trolling motor in GPS mode, say "Thrusters at station-keeping!" lol
Before you cut the fillet off the trigger fish run the tip of the knife down the belly then grab the corner of the skin and pull it off. Then fillet the meat off the backbone.
Great video as always. I wish you would have showed the cost of fuel you used. Just to give us an idea. I imagine it’s not cheap. I’ve never tried mayo as a sticking agent. Very interesting. I’ve always used mustard
I've have been trying all year to figure out how to catch a king mackerel or Spanish mackerel. I've never caught one ever. But when I figure it out, im ready to try this
Hey Stephen, do you fish for a living or have a job outside? I’m asking since you’d be a great guide and probably be lucrative business for you too. God bless.
When Stephen uploads it’s a good day 🤙
haha I agree! ;) Appreciate ya

Another great video brother!!! God bless you and America!!
I really want to go fishing with this guy I have never gone fishing like that. And love the videos dude they are amazing
Thank you for turning off the clicker when you're fighting a fish. Far too many UA-cam fishermen leave it on for effect.
I can't stand people reeling with the strike clicker on.
💯 I can't stand it
Mean either only time I like to here it is when the fish is pulling drag like on a spinning reel
Slathering fish in mayo and grilling it really is amazing too. Best kept "seacret"
I love watching you catch fish great video

Oh man can't believe you skipped out on the cheek meat from the trigger fish. Absolutely the best part of the whole fish.

I put in at orange beach boat ramp yesterday. My skiff could not make it out past the rocks so stayed inshore. Where did you put in at here?
