I'm off to bed now, 1.20 am here in Australia. So jealous of you, the fishing is so much better over there and our fish regulations are ridiculous. I'll watch tomorrow
We've been planning our first trip to the Gulf. I google mapped the area and immediately saw Perdido Pass and it's jetties. Saw a place to stay right there where we can walk to fish. Then of course found your channel. Got the whole family stoked to get down there. Thanks!
Was down in gulf shores. Decided to get a saltwater license to fish the pier. Of course i stopped by hooked up bait and tackle. Saw your brother. Got me some frozen shrimp and some pre made hooks with leader and weight. It was blowing 25 mph out of the south the 4 days we were there. Still caught some whiting and some pigfish. Love your channel. It has fired me up to go fishing. Thanks Brother!!!
Like watching your stuff. Gives me an insight into the salt water fishing that I don't get to experience up in the North Georgia mountains. Keep up the good work. Tight Lines!
my wife is not a fish person but she’ll eat fresh spanish for breakfast! lol! in carolina the spanish bite on the pier usually only last a couple hours at dawn.
As someone who thought the “sucker fish” would be awful tasting, they are actually really good! My buddies and I saw someone cleaning them at the Panama City beach pier and we tried it. Sooooo good! Definitely recommend trying it once! Make sure it’s a decent size one! Just clean it, skin it, and turn it into nuggets.
Steve, you're not supposed to hook your hooks on to your rod. Guides, they put scratches on the stainless steel or on the porcelain, and it will cause line fray. Hook it to the frame of the guide
Ontario = Smallie, Pike and Yellow Perch paradise 🏝️ If you haven’t made a point to take a trip… dear Lord in Heaven you need to! Michigan, Huron, Ontario, St. Lawrence River… you pick. Everything “up there” is “prehistorically big”: the rocks, the waves, the weather. Kinda like Texas, ‘cept our bass are smaller.
They are some damn good fish. I have had Remora many times....Trust me when I tell you that trash fish they are not. YOu have to get a big one because you dont get a whole lot of meat.
I have a great recipe for suckerfish. Pre-heat your oven to 350. Make a nice rub with old bay, paprika, and oregano. Slather with butter, inside and out, then rub on your spices. Cook wrapped in foil for 16 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes. Then, while still wrapped in the foil, throw the whole thing in the trash.
I have been sick for 5 days now and I think I have re watched 60 videos and that’s what is keeping me going
Prayers for a speedy recovery!

They nail everyone with regulations and laws except big corporations running deep sea half mile wide nets
Bro you need to come to NZ
Dude, I watch those vids of people fishing holes in the GBR. That's amazing fishing.
Big pelagic diversity too, basically every tuna, 5 mackerels, 3 bonito, 4 amberjacks, and 4 of their salmon.
@@moopius we have good fishing over here and in QLD the regs are decent but the fishing over there is definitely better in some situations
Yes another great video Steven it's always a pleasure watching your channel ❤❤
Awesome pier and some great catches

What Blank is the custom rod?
@@LiamVanDruten Rainshadow 1087 with Fuji K Guides and Alps reel seat . Had it built in 2015
@@BamaSaltwater thank you
I really like it when you fish without the boat like most of us do.
Very cool! Are you letting the jig sink and lifting it off the bottom? I have never used one of those.
Cast it, let it sink, the jig it up until it's just below the surface then repeat !
Steven, what if you did a video, or stopped in the middle somewhere, and showed us how you tie some of your knots and why.
Time to make some dip!
Definitely did !!!
You need to get a kayak for those windy days for inshore.
hey brother, have you ever tried the salted shrimp and squid bait hack?
Yo Stephen, do they still have the pin fish catcher under the cleaning tables at Sportsmans ??
how can u tell if a king is eating ur cigar minnows like what does it feel like when they eat ur bait
They will take it and strip line off extremely fast, also from the pier, you can see it most of the time
Do you use any satellite communication devices when you go off shore out of the cellphone range?
"Axe Handle" Spanish is what we used to call the big ones !!
Yup!!! Exactly
Yall still have Spanish and kings that close to shore?
GO GO GADGET BEARD!!

Hook it to the frame of the guide
@@chriss8206 I know! I try to tell everyone that lol. Let someone use my rod the day before and they put it there. Drives me crazy
What hides in the grass?
Remoras taste like cobia but you need a giant to get enough meat to be worthwhile
Really? I was hoping for offshore big game bottom fishing!❤❤

Kind of sucks you're only one catching fish while everyone is saying what the heck, lol
I realized the lures are the way to go when I was there I learned a lot on that trip
