I used to be in sales and the key is Grant has "no fear" at all. People can sense fear. So if your nervous on the call the customer can sense it and they don't buy. The only way you can bypass that nervous feeling is to make TONS of calls. Make so many calls that u get over that fear and then you start to make money.

I was in sales as well and tons of opportunities does help but the biggest factor I believe is to believe your product or service can truly help them

This is a bs reply and shows that you wont get far with that mindset because you will miss many opportunities in life. I am not talking about business just life as a whole. Some people only want to be associated with people that a popular or rich. For the record lots of business started out with no one knowing them and they had to hit the phones. There were 3 of us on sales team when Groupon started. We were the first to start hitting the calls for Groupon and through persistence we started getting sales the rest is history. Now I am running my own start up ALONE. Selling to business from scratch. Yet I am making well over $4k+ a day in sales. No big names, no brands, no marketing, no social media NOTHING just me! I represent 99% of small businesses and they are they are audience that want to hear my story. This video does not impress me one bit. I dot see any COLD CALLING. For the record I only spend 3 hours a day on the phone and call it a day. I have my strategy but it works very well for me and part of the strategy is why I spend only 3 hours a day. I am not about to share my secrets because I suffered a great deal to learn them. Make no mistake there are techniques that work but they have to be adapted to suit your market. But you wont find them in this boiler room video.

Grant Cardone is good at what he does not doubt about that. He has nerves, fear, and apprehension just like anyone else selling. Difference is, is that he is using those nerves to attack and not withdraw. I do sales during the day . I have used what he is saying and it's very effective. What he is doing people fail to do. Make enough calls, push the envelope on the conversation and close. He's energetic because he is awesome at what he does. When you know how to win at something all of a sudden it becomes fun.

Johnny De La Garza duly noted so then the questions are: how long was the sales cycle, and how many calls did it take to close? is this $1500 product a one -call close?

Mr. Cardone, I unsubbed because of this one video where you brought in some kid who wanted a job and completely destroyed him. But I am now subscribing again. I think you were displaying "tough love" and I misunderstood it. I think you're one hell of a coach. Your free content is enough to get me going but I can only imagine being coached by you and what that would do for my life. I just sold to a guy at a cell phone kiosk this morning at the mall. I identified his problem by asking him "What's the biggest challenge you're facing as a company as far as sales are concerned". His answer was "people don't want to sign up for 2-year contract". By the end of our 2-minute conversation, he wanted my business card and I hadn't even sold him anything. I'm on my way to print business cards and building a website. I never planned to be a CLOSER (not a seller) but I see myself selling ANYTHING. At this point, I feel I can sell anything to anyone. I'm going to find myself a challenge and go from there. I want to be surrounded by HIGH energy people who CLOSE deals, not sellers. Thanks for all that you do, Grant!

Regardless the amount of rapport or who hes talking to, these are all skill sets he's acquired over years of work. He's gaining leads through people he knows and producing customer retention for his business.

Grant Cardone is Great...!! His videos makes me feel that I did a great mistake by quitting sales and I wanna join it once again. The only problem is, that the companies in India don't allow you to do sales call in your way. They make it compulsory to talk about weather report. I mean why should I talk about weather report if my product is really good.

YES! Thank GOD that someone finally understands how to be ASSERTIVE in calls. There's a difference between AGGRESSIVE and ASSERTIVE sales techniques. I decided recently to make the transition into working with an insurance broker who has just opened his doors, knowing that he has quick plans for expansion and he's gonna need ME in order to get him to that point. You ever do any seminars in the Milwaukee or Chicago area on sales training? I want to bring in new sales reps and would LOVE to have them hear from someone else than myself on how to position themselves for success. Let me know buddy. Later.
