this is my second return to this video. last time, i saw this last minute/the day before my appointment. i thought my hair was too far gone but this routine worked!! i was shocked and the braider was satisfied too! thank you so much 🤧
Your hair is beautiful 😍. Being natural, did you have issues with your hair frizzing up or the braids looking old fast? I want to get some but I’m afraid it would look old within a week like how my feed-in braids do.
Thank you! No frizz , I bought me a big hair bonnet to sleep in . Only issues I had was keeping my edges looking nice because the bonnet would slide when I slept.
Thank you! Your braids look beautiful and you done a great job explaining everything. I'm about to do box braids on myself for the first time and this was helpful!
Thank you for this! I get my first ever knotless braids sunday and I wasn't sure about when my stylist said blow dry it and not put anything else in it. (I'm so used to always putting products in my hair I almost didn't trust her even though i had no reason to distrust ha) Ima trust the process XD
I literally just made my appointment to get box braids and then this video pops up lol You did an amazing job and it was so nice to watch someone who has the same hair texture/length as me! I will definitely be trying the shampoo/conditioner as well. Great video, I just subscribed ❤️🙌🏾
I’m a white girl in a salon that has very few braiders, so every textured haired person comes to me and asks if I can braid their hair. And I’m always internally panicking because I don’t know how to handle textured hair properly. And now I’m scrambling to research textured hair😭 Any tips are very much appreciated😅
Ok my question is how do you blow dry your hair and it go back into it natural state. I blow dry my hair before protective styles and I use heat protectant but for some reason my hair will not go back to its natural state. It's very straight and looks like I get a relaxer
I jus got out of some box braids, so this helps me in tweaking steps 4 my next set in the future. I also loved using the Creme of Nature Clay & Charcoal conditioner as a co-wash option, so I may go back 2 that as well. Also, wut brand is ur comb-attached blow dryer cuz I need 2 replace my old one ASAP 👑💇🏾♀️👑
Is there a reason why you didn't use a leave-in before blow drying your hair? I've seen people do this but I wonder if it wouldn't leave your hair dry, especially since it will stay in the protective style for a while
@@monikad.7900 for me, if I use leave in before I blow dry, the leave in will make it harder for me to dry (so overall more time and heat for me to blow dry my hair) and it also leaves product flakes in my hair. That’s just my experience though.
Hey! I think it would be safe, sometimes I use an oil heat protectant on my hair before I blow dry . I haven’t had any issues. The only time I experienced smoke was with my flat iron & that was because I didn’t clean it.
Did you blow dry with high or low heat? I have a lot of shedding after wearing box braids and I think it's because my hair is dehydrated from the time I blow dry to put them in all the way to when I take them out about a month later, unless I go swimming. My braids are done with JAM which basically starts my hair reverting, which sounds counter productive 😅 yet somehow also makes the roots super neat. Long story short, can my braids still be neat if I use less heat to stretch my hair first? Or will my roots end up hella puffy and crazy compared to the added hair??
I had it on high heat. I feel like the roots will be fine. You’ll probably have to find a really good braider to make sure the braids still come out neat with low heat hair.

Is it better to come with your hair dry or moisturized when getting knotless box braids
So my hair was moisturized but from the hair pages I follow I read that you should show up dry
Great hair
