I used to blow dry my hair before braiding to stretch it. I just tried stretching my hair without heat for the first time a couple of days ago, and I was able to braid my hair as usual! I guess you really don't need heat to style your hair :)
Thank you so much for that! I did my own braids in 2020 (had not done it at the salon before) and just washed + conditioned since this is what so many UA-camrs mention. When I took the braids off, my hair shed *for weeks* and I lost my edges 😭. Traumatic! Your video is one of the very few videos clearly explaining how to prep so THANK YOU!
I love this video! Very helpful! I'd love to see one, whenever the challenge is over of course, where you go over hair wrap styles and how to do them! I have a few but I still go for the casual, twisted low bun because I can't seem to do anything else lol.
In one of her videos she said you can get a spray bottle, fill the bottle with water, your favourite oils and leave-in/moisturizer and then shake the mixture up, then spray it to your hair whenever it’s dry. Just make sure the mixture is watery and runny so it’s easy to apply to your hair from the spray bottle . If this doesn’t help, just binge Jenn J’s videos on braids. I’m sure you’ll find the tip somewhere. Hope this helped💕
What’s some good, organic hair care brands? LOVE ur video. Caught my attention and I watch all the way through. Currently at the DC stage, about to go wash out and moisture. I’m going to do passion twist tomorrow.
My hair grows but its at uneven lengths right now even if I cut it off bald it grows unevenly. Does anyone else experience this and if so how do you guys deal with this?
I'm the same. My hair grows at the front and back, but the crown and sides are noticeably so much shorter and coarser. Since the start of the pandemic with working from home, I haven't really been doing anything with my hair apart from washing it and moisturizing it weekly. No idea what the solution may be to help it grow evenly unfortunately
@@hopeytopey408 I was actually thinking about that after I wrote the message. What would you recommend, every other week maybe? The only thing is, I exercise daily so that was my main reason for weekly washes 😕
Try lighter products ?? The products may be a little to heavy for your hair. I also have tried just water rinsing on a daily basis, that has increased my sebum distribution which helped keep my hair moisturized. You should check out alopeciafreewithjess here on UA-cam she has a couple videos about water rinsing.
Its amazing... got my tgin mask!!!! And the butter.... not happy with the butter.. its kinda heavy for my hair i think... but im ok with it... for now... think it will leave my hair realy moisturized... so ok...
Should you do box braids like when your hair is wet like just after you wash your hair Because for me I would deep condition Then wash that out then shampoo then wash then conditioner then wash and then go and comb out my hair then add conditioner and oil then blow dry and then braid What should I change
I was very happy to find your channel 😁 Have you tried Earthtones Naturals products? Would love to see a product review of those products. 🙏🏾 Put the Canadian products on the map.🇨🇦

Have you tried washing your hair less??? I stopped washing my hair every week and noticed a difference with breakage.
My sides do grow at a slower rate though

is glycerin good for 4c hair??
Yes
I just saw your hair out didn’t see the arrow and I was like I know Jenn ain’t take her hair out lol
LMAO! Nah I'm still braided up... impatiently waiting to take them out and play in that 4c goodnesssss!
Do you experience a lot of breakage? I do and my hair looks like yours. I’ve been following all these steps. Not sure what to do at this point.
Is it shedding or breakage? Shedding has a little bulb at the roots x
@@JennJackson breakage for sure.
Try protein treatment prior to putting in braids
