This got downloaded by mistake when my phone was in my pocket. I took that as a sign and listened to the album while cooking lunch today. Even my cat enjoyed it!
One of the best random metal albums I ever found in YT. Intrinsic should've been as big as their fellow metal contemporaries like Blind Guardian, Helloween, Stratovarius, etc., IMHO.

Harrow-Call of the Unborn, listened to it and won it too. Also won Rainbow-On Stage. I know you like that one, but check out the Harrow album, and let me know your opinion It's from the 90's, so you might not like it. Both were like throw in's, so why not.

Anyway saw him and his cousin years later and he agreed yeah Intrinsic was good, guess he came around the memories and great sounds...great to hear it again thank u

Very maidenesque. Pure, unpolluted heavy metal. 1987 was an hard time for this type of music if you weren't Iron Maiden or Helloween, and thrash metal sounded freshier and newer to metal listeners.
Very astute observation. We were huge Maiden fans. Most of the songs were written 84-85 and recorded in 86. You are right that thrash had taken over the metal scene by the time our album was released.
I am getting an Iron Maiden feel and influence......I am an 80s metal head to the core and I have never heard this album or band before. So, I'm very impressed! I said the same thing about the band Vain not too long ago.

We have been putting it off because we wanted to release new music first. Bunch of songs in the pipeline but it has taken longer to complete one or two than we thought it would. Great band , great production, nothing but greatness with this band. with real unique guitars. they, the twin guitarists, dont avoid power chords, but they do more tremolo note riffing. possibly so as not to sound like the la glam rock or the bashing of power chords from the thrash of the bay area. or who knows, maybe just personal taste but they came out like a mesh of everything metal: a bit of bit of power speed heavy and even some thrash. the prod. is loud and everything clear, i can even make out the bass. some reviews say this is average but i dont thinks so. this is way above average fro me. an average band wouldve bored me. i could not take my ears off this album. I was even staring at the cover art! thats one of the reasons i chose this out of a list of youtube cause it looked so cool. like fantasy but without being cheesy. vocalist is good but maybe not elite. yet very fitting. if i can say a bad thing about this album and why ppl dont like is that it does lack some catchiness. so maybe thats why. that doesnt matter to me if im recognizing quality. all the songs are upbeat, but also maybe the same tempo for some ppl. cult status.

We'd like to say that there was some great meaning behind it, but in actuality we scanned through the work of a local artist friend of ours and picked this because we liked how it looked. He modified it to be the ruins of an Intrinsic gig in the desert
Ok so ! Once apon a time way back in the early 80's, when rock still had its roll, lived two young dudes from Torrance CA. RON CRAWFORD AND CRAIG MATTHEWS. Ron play's guitar and craig is a singer, both were inspired to be rockers. Ron started a band which included Mike Park on bass Bill Agnew on drums and Craig Matthews as the singer and frontman. Ron and craig began to write songs together and learned enough cover tunes to start playing shows but they needed a name, they all agreed on calling themselves THE ROCKERS. As the band improved so did the fan base, the numbers were rapidly increasing to the point a little club could not handle the amount of fans intrested in there music. They seemed to be heading in the right direction. well ! good things seem to always come to an end. Ron the founder of the band made a decision that change the path of the band and its members. He went off to college and that was that, the end of the rockers. Months later craig gets call from ron, hey craig ? im in this band with some guys from school we need a singer are you intrested ? i agreed and drove up to SLO a couple of days later, with in a week we were playing shows, it was possible becouse i already knew most of the songs with a few exceptions but 90% of the song you are listening to on that first album was written by RON CRAWFORD AND CRAIG MATTHEWS. As i am reading the stuff on youtube and facebook it upsets me that RON CRAWFORD is not reconized for his contributions in the band. As for me i lived in LA and had alot of things going on in that area so it ended for me. I'm writing this becouse RON CRAWFORD IS AN AMAZING GUITAR PLAYER WITH A VERY UNIQUE STYLE AND SOUND AND DESERVSE TO BE RECONIZED. And in closing, the guy who attempted to sing my songs, granted they were changed abit but stil,l the songs that ron and i wrote got butchered and lost all the little catch notes. DUDE ? you cant sing, cant hold a note thats why the first and best record never got of the ground, there's so much more to being vocalist then screaming When i listened to that record the other day for the first time it made pissed off."
