I am also a handy man and utilize UA-cam videos all the time to get me through fixes and installations. UA-cam is def one of my most valuable tools and it’s because of ppl like you so thank you bro!! ive been trying to adjust by brakes the brake pads are not at the same distance then when they are they dont touch the rim at the same time and it’s bothering me
    Edit: Idk which one i have to loosen up or witch one i have to tighten, do i tighten the one that is closer to the rim and loose the one that is farther or loose the closer one and tighten the farther one or do i tighen the closer one and leave the other alone and vise versa? ive been at it for an hour and i cant get it, it breaks but it takes a while to stop when you’re on the bike

    • @Brant_Moore

      It’s possible the cables have dirt and debris in them. It’s also possible that they were bent internally and it’s causing friction. No real way to say without actually seeing it. I offer virtual help through the link on my instgram

    But how to remove the slack from the upper brake cable like you said to do before anything with the lower brakes?

    • @Brant_Moore
      @Brant_Moore  3 роки тому

      If you’re using gyro cables you can adjust the barrel adjusters to remove the slack. The uppers should not be affected by the lowers since you want the gyro to sit as close to the gyro tabs as possible.
      This is partially why I made my own upper cables. Most off the shelf ones have so much slack that needs adjusted out with the barrel adjusters. Making my own and using a gyro with screws means minimal slack from the beginning

    • @Brant_Moore

    Does anyone ever have issues with their removeable brake hardware? I have an older Fit Aitken with Ody EVO 2.5s. My brake arms sometimes interfere with one another and my bolt-through brake hardware comes loose after 15-20 mins of riding! I honestly wish I had welded mounts, studier and less flex.

      I used to have issues on a previous frame but things have been good on the sundays!

      Only problem there is that they would never come out if there happened to be a problem
