#CaseBattle #iPhone13Pro #iPhoneAccessories
Fun Fact: Both cases actually use the same grade magnets. The reason the pitaka has a stronger feel is because they use the Halbach array (a magnetic alignment pattern) that causes one side of the magnets to have a much stronger field and the opposite side (inside the case) to have a much weaker field.
This is perfect for MagSafe cases so that they have a very strong holding force for accessories, but don’t interfere with the phone’s magnetic compass, OIS, etc.
I received my sheath two days ago. Man I’m telling you this case is all I needed. For the sake of minimizing my spending I truly believe the sheath is thin enough for those who prefer thin phone feeling.
O yeah it excels when it comes to the minimalist case.
Is the case great for drop protection?
After watching your videos, I picked up the sheath in navy blue for the iPhone 13. It has already proven it's worth. I dropped it on the asphalt outside today getting into the car, and it has been completely fine! The scratches that it from the drop ended up disappearing after a few hours. What an awesome case.
Nice!! Glad you’re liking it. Such a solid case.
i have the sheath and i love it. way better when it comes to the aesthetic and texture imo. i kinda wish they also made a maroon/burgundy version though
Yeah that actually would be a dope color now that I think about it.
They have two new colors that dropped recently, really nice too
Yep. I should have them later this week.
I have had both types of cases. Honestly the sheath is superior. Way better grip, drop rating, and still minimalistic. Then on top of that it's cheaper. Moving forward I'll be getting sheaths for the rest of my phones moving forward so long as they keep the same quite design.
Is the Shealth really great for drop protection?
@@Tesla25173 well I have had several drops and no breaks… (couple it with tempered glass screen protector. Plus no blemishes in the case. With the pítala you drop it, if the phone doesn’t break, the case with be left with marks.
Got the Sheath off the review on this channel. No regrets. It's light, grip is fantastic, and it looks good! Been my daily driver ever since.
You made me fall in love with the Sheath. Thanks haha
I just can’t rationalize spending $65 on a case when the sheath is out there for half the price. I think the sheath has the perfect magnet strength. I had a case where the magnet was way too strong and it always pulled my MagSafe out of it’s stand.
Got the Sheath in blue to go with my Sierra Blue Max on your recommendation. Love it!
Magnets are strong and it’s got some grip. I switch between that and the Mous Limitless 4.0 depending on how much protection I need on that day.
Keep them coming and Happy New Year to you and yours from the UK 🥂
I’m the same way. I absolutely love the Sheath. I have all of the colors so far and I’m waiting on the new mesa blue for my 13 pro. I currently have the navy blue. Do you know if you got navy or mesa? I’m curious how the mesa blue looks with sierra blue.
Yeah those are some solid options for sure and you always have to throw Mous in the max. Happy New Year to you as well and thank you for the support! 💪🏽💪🏽
Upgraded from Ringke Onyx to Sheath today. Sheath do feels more premium than Onyx but Onyx has more grip and comfortable to hold. For those who have Onyx and wondering what kind of texture the Sheath has, its quite similar like Onyx but feels more premium. I have uag civilian, ringke onyx, nilkin and apple’s silicon btw. I’ll stick with Sheath for now.
I need to go back and try the Onyx, I didn’t feel it had a tight fit like the sheath but I could be wrong. I tried it for the Pro Max but not the smaller Pro.
@@TechnicallyTee you’re correct Onyx doesn’t fit snugly as Sheath. Probably thats the reason why Sheath feels more premium in the hand 😁
Yeah and I’m big on how snug a case fits on a phone.
Solid review Tee! To me the sheath is the total package. I love mine & don’t consider replacing it anytime soon. I also love the well designed case of the pitaka but it loses on price point. But I will strongly consider the pitaka as my “next case” if & I say if I’m ready to switch on a new daily case. Happy New Year Tee! Looking forward to more informative reviews for 2022..
I returned my MagEZ Pro case immediately after holding it. The edge was not only uncomfortable, but there was a seam where the carbon fiber panels meet on the sides and makes it feel even sharper. The MagEZ Pro case for the 13/13 Pro is probably more comfortable than the one I had bought for the 13 Pro Max, there’s no way I can have a iPhone that big and have a case built with a near razor sharp edge for $70 lol.
Caudabe Sheath for the win all the way!!!
Now that I think about it, that Mag Ez do be sharp in my hand 😂
You know it was sharp in my hands but I guess I got use to it. I like the slim and light form factor but both are great.
I just got my Sheath with MagSafe for my iPhone 12 Pro yesterday. Had the non-MagSafe Sheath since I first had the phone so I’m happy to finally to get the upgraded version.
Nice! Hope you enjoy it!
“That’s why my voice is going innn and outtt” 🤣🤣
Hahaha chill 😂😂😂
I ended up returning my MagEZ Pro once I got my Sheath (I think I still like the MagEZ 2 a TAD bit more though). Thanks for helping me with the cases this year Tee!
No doubt you know I got you! 💪🏽💪🏽
Can’t decide between these 2 for my 14 pro max
My Caudabe is on the way🤩 Thanks for the amazing videos in this year Tee! Happy New Year!
Nice! Let me know how you like the Sheath when you get it and Happy New Year to you as well!
You sold me on the Sheath brother, picking up my 13 Pro Max next week and already got the Sheath on order. Wishing you a happy new year to you and your family.
Dope and make sure you come back and let me know how you like your Sheath! Happy New Year to you as well!
Great video as always..Both has its own Pros and Cons..not cons really but lets say that both manufacturer has their own signature marketing strategies. The Caudabe are more likely designed towards minimalist approach where iPataka are flexing with their Aramid Fiber material. I would have gave the same draw result too. :)
Yeah I had two because I love both of these cases the same honestly.
Come on Tee! Give the dub to the Sheath! At over twice the price, the Pitaka can't compete.
Sheath is still one of the goats but man this Pitaka case is just quality. I honestly like them equally.
My OCD takes over when it comes to the improper speaker cutouts on the bottom of the MagEZ. I feel like for the price they should have gotten all the details correct. Sheath for me all day, you can easily get two colors of the sheath for the price of one MagEZ.
Agree with the cutouts
I think the opposite, the pitaka is symmetric. No one really see why what's under.
Now rocking my gray sheath on my promax and I absolutely love it! Thanks to your spot-on reviews for really helping a fella out with choosing the perfect cases for me. Been looking for a way to get my hands on a pitaka magez pro here in my country but to no avail. If you have a promax one just hangin in a box, maybe it could be a late Christmas gift for a fan? 😅 Keep it up with the awesome reviews, man!!!
Thanks much appreciated and nah I don’t have one for the pro max. Usually I have multiple versions of cases but this Pitaka pro has been hard to get.
@@TechnicallyTee I know, right? That is one elusive little case, that magez pro. Hope I would come across one someday soon. Thanks again, man! Keep it up!
Love your Reviews Brotha.
Good Content 🤘🏽🤙🏽
Thanks much appreciated!
You’re a case freak like myself and have the same taste. Subscribed bruh 😎
Ayeeee thanks much appreciated homie and welcome to the channel!
That’s what I like about sheath. No smudges.
I just picked up one of these cases. And man! U were right. These things feel amazing. Thanks for doing a video on this case. I would have never bought one of i didn’t see this vidro
Real pleased with the Sheath I got. Bought it as a placeholder after reading so many good things about the Pitaka, which is currently on backorder in the US. Not so sure I’m gonna upgrade to the Pitaka at this point however!! The Sheath is simple and minimal and protective - that’s all I need. Doesn’t feel heavy compared to a lot of other iPhone 13 pro cases (admittedly I haven’t held the Pitaka tho.)
Yeah Pitaka is missing out on tons of sales right now leaving that Pro out of stock. I love it and it’s currently on my phone right now. Bounce between it and the Sheath.
As someone who used to go on case journeys with every iPhone. Makes me smile to see a nerd find their soulmate case 😂 two of them too. Mans put the poly in polycarbonate
Hahaha I heard that!
Cmon Tee!!! The Pitaka magnets look like a seller for sure but I think the Sheaths price is the killer feature. You can’t beat that so the champ remains champ!
Hey man it’s some strong competition out here! Pitaka is just about the only case that I like as much as the sheath.
It’s the sheath. Looks like a case to start my new year off and outfit for my phone. Price point and just being a case as basic as they come.
Pitaka is no slouch either. That race car carbon fibre life. Still heat too💯💯
U gotta pay the play
Yea either one fire and yeah you have to pay for that Pitaka, that’s always been the case.
@@TechnicallyTee always been the case in a case video? Heh. I see what u did there😂😂👌
Just got the sheath recently an easily the best case I’ve ever had. Feels amazing and perfect slimness. Also must provide some good protection that it got knocked out of my hand at the bar and fell 6 feet flat on its face. Phone and screen protector still held up
Nice! Glad your enjoying it. Def one of the top cases out there for sure.
Ordered sheath for my iPhone 13 pro max after watching your top 10 cases video. It’s been stuck in customs clearance in India. Eagerly waiting for it. Like your videos. Lots of love from India and have a wonderful new year ahead.
A few ideas for scoring system. Make an overlay that shows the name of the item and the score on the screen so people can follow along when scores are given. You could also keep it simple and just go 1 point for each category or go on a 3 star rating system or a 1-5 scale. Come up with a few solid categories such as durability, feel in hand, button presses, protection etc. Keep it consistent and you'll be straight. Love the videos 💯👍🤛
Took a screenshot of this because I def want to find the best way to do these videos and also shorten them up a tad. Probably talk too much 😂😂
@@TechnicallyTee you straight, you'll get it! I'm confidant in you! Look forward to more reviews. Keep it up
Let me tell you something, bro I own 214 pros. I don’t care about the wait of a case I care if it protects my phone it’s a shock resist and drop resistt. This is adorable that you would really breaks your glass your phone when you drop it on the house, I’ll stick it all the Braves gonna be here
I never see the pitaka pro case but recently I received the Caudabe sheath from USA and till now I love the grip! Also have the mous aramid fibre limitless 4.0 . Thanks for your reviews 🙏
The caudabe sheath takes it for me. The feel and comfort.
Yeah I could’ve went either way honestly.
@@TechnicallyTee After watching your video a couple of times I’m curious about the case. It does look like a very nice case. I sent them an email when it becomes available.
love your videos. Quick question I like your Apple Watch band where did you get it
great review, have new 13pro and bought the latercase and LOVE it, its only case without fugly square cut out for camera, it has custom fit for each lens! Love to see you compare that to these?
If the pitaka didn’t collect smudges and fingerprints as much as it does then I’d consider it. But using the sheath I’ve forgotten what smudges and fingerprints are 😂, perfect
Yeah that’s texture on the Sheath will spoil you for sure lol.
Thanks for the comparison! Love your videos by the way, keep up the good job! I have seen on your other videos that Caudate Sheath could easily pick up that charging steel, but in this video it fails to do so. Could you please explain why?
Love my Caudabe Sheath. Gonna have to pass on the Pitaka unless that price drops some....Great review as always.
Yeah and I don’t think that price is dropping lol.
Great comparison I just wish pitaka made the new pro model for the 12’s almost makes me want to run out and get an iPhone 13….I can’t 2022 is budget year. Happy new year Tee I hope 2022 is going to the best year ever. 50K no way you will get 100K🤷🏻♀️🙏🏻🙏🏻
Ayeeee thanks much appreciated. Yeah they make a Pro model for the 12 series but it’s the old design. I like the new design much better.
Just ordered the Sheath in Camo Green for my Graphite 13 pro max! This vid was the seller! Appreciate the content 💯
Thanks much appreciated! Glad I was able to help out.
Only because of your brilliant review I bought iphone 13 pro pitaka magez pro fingers crossed I like it🤞 love your reviews bro🤝👍
I didn't expect that end but I did at the same time lol
😂😂😂 hey salute to you to making it till the end.
I have the Sheath and the Pitaka MagEZ Case Pro 2. The Pitaka case has much better grip than the Caudabe. I find the Sheath's texture to be slippery whereas the Pitaka material sticks. In a warm or humid climate the Sheath probably has an improved grip but in northern climates (i.e. PNW) it does not.
Thanks for sharing. I like both. Blessings on your day.
Thanks Jeff much appreciated and Happy New Year!
I love the Sheath, dope case! But the Pitaka magez pro takes it for me. I haven’t taken it off since I got it. Definitely an adjustment to get use to! But once you do, it’s clean, protective and slim. Definitely a little pricey, but the quality is worth it for me.
Why is it an adjustment to get used to?
@@ryan2-518 more than any other case I’ve tried, it is “sharp” or more mimics the iPhones squared edges. So where most cases have more rounded/tapered edges, the magez pro is square like an iPhone.
It’s not uncomfortable or anything, just something different in the hands. I actually find it easier to hold then the rounded edges of other iPhone cases. But it may take a day or two to get use to feeling the case in hand.
Which you prefer Caudabe black or gray colour for my Graphite 13 pro ?
Have the sheath for the 13 pro max…. Love love the feel of the case….But I gotta say - not at all pleased with the strength of the magnets..
Yeah they are terrible but once you get a case that does have strong magnets then you realize. They get the job done though.
I just got an iPhone 12 and it’s Caudabe all day every day for me. Got the Sheath and the Synthesis and it just depends on the day/mood. Caudabe just makes good cases! And I’ve tried Catalyst, Otterbox, Smartish, Rhinoshield - Caudabe just works for me! Love your videos! From one Tee to another, Happy New Year!
What was your probleme with the Rhinoshield?
Cuz I cant't bring the decision which to pick....
@@NEON-cz2yj The Rhinoshield was just too slippery.
@@EetYajKundorp oh thanks
Hey big fan of your channel. Because of your videos I was interested in the pitaka mag ez pro case for the iPhone 13 pro max which is hard to find and currently sold out. I called pitaka and they advised me that you can order on their website under the other where it says country and will ship directly from their warehouse in China. It takes longer but in case anyone hasn’t had any luck trying to get this case, I thought it was good info for anyone out there trying to get it. Much success to you and your channel, keep up the good work.
Does the felt lining in the pitaka dry quickly after washing?
I wish pitaka would add that fusion weaving tech to this magEz pro case, that’s an insta cop!
Instant!!
I just got the magez pro for my 13 pro max. I can’t wait. Caudabe is nice but I like that aramid more.
That Pitaka Pro case is def legit so I understand.
Hey Tee I‘ve got a case suggestion for you, it’s kinda an underdog but it’s an excellent rugged, heavy protection case. I think you will love it: Ghostek Atomic Slim. I‘ve posted this multiple times to make sure you‘re seeing it 😃👍🏼
Yep I got you and I’ll look into it. 💪🏽💪🏽
@@TechnicallyTee ✌🏼😎
You gonna get the new Mesa Blue color Sheath, Tee?
This, and the camo green, just ordered it and would love to see what it looks like.
Yep. Hopefully have them coming in next week. That Mesa blue looks so dope.
I just bought the sheath and although it is nice it does not work with my shellrus sapphire screen protector ... it causes it to lift. Of course they want me to buy their screen protector but that doesn't solve the issue. I guess I have to return it. However I have the Pitaka and it works great. Just wanted to try the sheath.....Thought I would share this info...
Thanks for that info. I know all screen protectors are cut different so that sucks it didn’t work out.
I just started watching and I feel like I already know the answer to this video 😂😂
Hahahaha. Was your answer right??
SHEATH for the win, it always ends up on value for money. I just ordered mine after watching your reviews. nice comparison!
Rocking the gray sheath with the sierra blue 13 pro , took about 5-10 minutes to get used to the texture. It’s my fav case atm
The texture suppose to be comfortable and grippy, why do you have to get used to it?
@@Ykodi01234 I previously had the iPhone leather case on so I was more used to the texture of that, but the case is grippy and I really like the texture on the back
Yeah it’s a little different but once you get use to it it’s all good.
@@TechnicallyTee it’s my favorite case ; thank you for reviewing it. Ever since Ive gotten my 13 pro I’ve been watching all your reviews 🙏🏻
I have the sheath it’s pretty good. I want the pitaka but it’s not available. I really like the apple midnight leather MagSafe.
I give it to the sheath still, build quality are both great, the difference is the price
Yeah the price makes all the difference for sure to some people.
Where did you get the block for your mag safe charger?
Both are clean. Idk I might need to try one of them.
Can’t go wrong with either.
Horrible experience with Caudabe. First time received empty box with no case and second time received case for the wrong iPhone. Then asked for a refund and they insist that they have refunded me although no money has reached me (this happen around a month ago).
I have both and I’ll choose Caudabe Sheath any day
Can’t go wrong with either one. Sheath is goated for sure.
Where did you get the pitaka with the bottom protection? All I see is open bottom case for 13pro.
Ordered the cadaube for my 13pro max
Nice! Let me know how you like it once you get it!
@@TechnicallyTee will do brotha
I love both cases, however I give Pitaka the W. Over design and feel. It’s a very close call. I truly believe it boils down to personal preference.
Yep it sure does because both are excellent cases!
Camera lenses are compatible with the Pitaka EZ Pro?, this is important to me because I have Rhinoshield lenses mounted on my 13 Pro but I’m almost sure that the Pitaka is not compatible 🫠
Why on the review of the caudabe for the iPhone 13 on the magnets text you were able to lift the MagSafe charger and now you can’t??? You made that video 11 months ago.
I thought u are rocking the Phonerebel Flex?
Nice review Tee cant get the caudabe in Ireland but pitaka 💯 all the way thanks again Tee happy new year 💯🇮🇪😎
Ayeee man that sucks. Happy New Year to you as well!!
great video brutha
Thanks much appreciated!!
I think both of them are not grippy enough. I would give the winning to the Apple silicone case as it's crazy grippy and looks clean.
But it ages badly. The corners show wear very quickly and it’s a pain getting it in and out of your pocket
Yeah for the price that Silicone case just doesn’t last personally for me. Much better options out there for the price.
I have the sweatiest hands out there man . Have been an avid Apple silicone case user. But now I have switched to the sheath . It takes 5-7 days to get used to the texture . Then nothing beats it . I have been a hugeee fan of Apple silicone cases but they just don’t age well . But if you like silicone cases , Apple makes the best ones . But definitely , the sheath is the best case I’ve used soo far . Also the sheath is truly anti-smudge and anti-dirt it’s like the perfect case.
Dang it Tee! What you doing man! 😂
What I do?! 😂😂
@@TechnicallyTee a draw! It was a draw 😉 I was revved up for a winner 😂
For under 40 dollars is the sheath the best ?
do you have any 'the limited co' cases to review?
I like this video because it shown case's weight. I bought many case but they are too heavy for iphone 13 pro max.
Thanks much appreciated! 💪🏽💪🏽
I have the Sheath for my 13 pro but really tempted by the Fusion Weaving MagEZ Case 2. What are the differences between that and the mag ez pro shown in this video?
The Mag Ez Pro case is a full coverage case with rubber sides & a softer aramid fiber material on the back. The Fusion Weave cases are all aramid fiber & it’s an open sided case, not a full coverage. So your buttons, ports, & top of the phone are all exposed.
@@PatsTech my sheath is 41 grams and does add a bit of bulk. I really like the look of fusion one as it seems a lot more minimalistic. And it looks awesome.
@@craigackroyd it’s definitely more minimalistic. I have a few of them & I rock them almost everyday.
Man I love that Fusion Weave but I just need that all around protection because I have a kid lol.
Does spigen glass tr full screen tempered go well with caudabe sheath? Thanks
How about drop protection ?
Is there any reason why you wouldnt use the Caseify statum as a daily case?
Just because you dont want extra protection over slimmer case?
I personally just don’t need that level or protection. I like something on the more slimmer side.
@@TechnicallyTee Ah, thanks for the response :) Just hope the caseify is awesome
Love the Pitaka case, but that price. Ouch!
Yeah you have to pay for the those Pitaka cases.
If only they were more protective I’d be interested.
You tested them? 😂
The air pockets are a no for me. The sides of the pro’s already scratch enough.
Has the the pitaka magez pro been released for iPhone 13 pro? Their website shows coming soon.
Yeah it should be. I think they are just having some stock issues.
We gotta cancel Tee for this one 😂
Chillll 😂😂😂
Can you try Ringke DX Compatible with Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max Case Double Layer Shockproof TPU Cover Heavy Duty Protection Durable Anti-Slip Scratch Resistant - Black ....pls.!!!🥺🥺
Caudabe just needs to add micro fiber on the inside and it would be the best case ever in my opinion
Total Total Tie! Unless you want stronger Mag. So close!
Yeah this is a close one no doubt.
Pitaka finally knocked Caudabe off of my phone. I actually didn’t like the MagSafe.made it a bit uncomfortable in the hand this year.
Now both got kicked off for the phone rebel flex.
Yeah the Pitaka has been on phone for about a month now. My sheath is still right there though without a doubt. Just really liking this Pitaka Pro case.
@@TechnicallyTee I’ve always had caudabe for this is the first year I took it off… for some reason with MagSafe etc… it was triggering my nerd inury from resting phone on my pinky lol…. Pitaka nor phone rebel case seem to do that.
Sheath Mesa Blue All Day!!!!
Sheath all the way!
mous?
Can anyone tell me that is the sheath case protective? Is it gonna protection my iPhone when I drop it
Your phone will be just fine when you drop it. I’ve dropped it multiple times and never had an issue.
Man I wish they had the EZ Pro for the Pro Max
They don’t make it for the Pro Max? They do if I’m not mistaken.
When I looked it said coming soon
Tee is the Case General!
#21GunSalute
💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
They need to make a sheath in burgundy
yo Tee , you should check out the new spigen slim armor magsafe
Yeah I think someone else told me about that. Need to go and check it out.
