I believe him…you can not tell by looks( forearm size )…all the muscles involved in the close are deep and under other muscles in the arm …he’s young but I bet his training age is several years deep…takes a long time to build the tendon strength…this is awesome for him and you should be proud he basically said Jedd Johnson inspired him along with John call(jujimufu)

Yep and don't grippers lose some strength from their rgc rating over a 2-4 yr period. So a 212 rgc Close.might have been a 207-208 close? Still elite and fantastic by Ivan none the less.
Anyone knows how long these heavy Coc grippers holds strength and say it's 1-3 yrs old.from the last rgc rating.. I have a 205 rgc rated coc 4 thats not quite a year old from CPW.

HI jedd indeed Ivan is legitimate. Hes doing some amazing things. Like a no set 3.5 and Ivan can definitely close some strong #4. Now coc#4s out of the package are hitting more than 215-230 out of the package. So he can do it if he builds more strength and do it easy if he gets a gripper that's in the 205-212 range. I would think you have to be able to close at least 218-220 something to have the best shot at cc.close out of the package. So going to be interesting to see who does it first Jedd and everyone. Nice Larry gave Ivan huge platform to showcase what could be the most powerful known gripper and crushing strength in a young strength athlete.
Also I wonder is this the era someone closes a.ghp10 with a 250-280 rgc or better 🤔

So when it comes to setting the gripper which I learned last year, I liked the gripper placement advice and still use it, but not the actual setting part. I have smaller hands and don't know if that makes a difference, but I find it hard to hold a set. To get the credit card in I have to unwrap my pinky just to get the gripper to open back up enough which causes it to shift a little out of place. However when I grab it by the spring with my off hand I can stabilize the gripper and just crush it immediately from full open. I practice both so I can hopefully certify with the 3 one day, but currently I can crush the 2 a lot easier from fully open instead of set. I'll link a video because I'm curious if any of y'all think I could do better if I got better at setting it.
