      Good idea! I stayed on carnivore for 6 weeks - basically until I felt normal again ( and then some ). Then I added in some low carb vegetables - a little at a time. Now I am on Keto just about full time. I go off it from Thanksgiving to New Years every year. I don't get crazy or anything, but I allow myself to enjoy some traditional foods I don't usually eat. ( sweet potatoes and yams, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, GF cakes and breads and pies in reasonable amounts, pinto beans and cornbread, etc. ) January 2nd to the last Thursday of November I am nearly always running on ketones. It would be great to hear if there might be something at issue about that, or learn of some other ideas that might suit my best health habits better.

    A really excellent explanation! However the Chart with the CO2, Breath Rate, and Blood pH, would have been better if the Alkaline heading was at the Top, and Acid heading at the bottom! But otherwise, as usual really well explained; so thank you!

    Hey, People. Read _Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art_ by James Nestor. I am supposing that Mr. Hale has read it already. I have not found a more in-depth look at what Mr. Hale calls "breath work" anywhere. And I've looked. I think Joe Rogan may have interviewed James Nestor, but I'm not positive about that. I have his book and have read it twice. He looks at the topic from multiple perspectives and has a solid grasp on all the available science on the topic, as well as first hand experience in some of the most salient experiments and studies.

      As discussed in this video, it's not about adjusting your rate of breathing. It's about correcting the actual underlying causes. Your best bet could be to go through our totally free digestion course because that will walk you through running simple self-tests you can run at home to get an idea of what imbalances can be creating trouble, and what steps would help you correct them. You can find that free course here: kickitnaturally.com/course

    This is good timing. I started Wim Hof breathing last week after watching some people recommending it and I feel great after doing the breathwork. I'm also on a carnivore diet. So you are saying that my blood is too much alkaline? Do you think I should stop the breathwork?

    • @KickItNaturally
      @KickItNaturally  5 місяців тому

      I'm not saying anything about your blood because I don't know your situation. But it would make sense for you to figure out where you are so you know if you're making things better or worse for yourself.

    • @goldstar846
      @goldstar846 5 місяців тому

      I started wim hof last week too!
      I have poor oxygen saturation through the night.
      With out fail...If I don't do the breath work...my ox sat is down under 90% for around 30 mins a night.
      When I do the breath work.... it drops under 90% for between 2 and 5 minutes for the night.
      Not fixing it...but improving it like 90%.
      But...I totally appreciate what he is saying here. Its all good that this helps me...but I still got an underlying problem that shouldnt need this treatment. Thats what we gotta figure out.

    This was very interesting. You mentioned calcium as being very alkaline. But how about potassium, magnesium and salt? Are they also on the alkaline side? I'm confused.
    During the day I'm around 13/14 so kind of balanced. But at night I can fall as low as 8-10 breath rate. I'm taking electrolytes because I'm on a carnivore diet. And I'm deficient in so many of those minerals. Especially magnesium and potassium. Does that make my blood more alkaline?

  • @ingunnhelen9931
    @ingunnhelen9931 4 місяці тому

    Is an catabolic imbalance the same as acidic, and anabolic the same as alkalosis? Or are those two about something different?
