When you buy used car - main task to check car as much as it possible. Old used cars really worth to buy. Especially if you planning to restore them by own hands. When you buy car from acquaintances your vigilance is decreasing.

You hit the proverbial Nail on the Head. I sold a friend of mine an ATV tht I bought brand new, he broke a bolt off, ran it out of oil til the engine started knocking only to tell me the engine was worn out. I ain't spoken to him in years. Also if they're selling a car with expired tags and weeds growing around it, they stopped driving it for a reason

@@speedfreak8200 Oh, yes I should hit myself for that I'm trust people which I'm familiar with! As you say we can be angry a lot period after these happen and these protect us from repeating our faults. Our bad experience like vaccine! But unfortunately we inclined to forget and relax and trust again and vigilance decreasing.

When I am asked to fly someone's airplane, I always preflight as follows; fuel, compression, flight control security and operation, ignition ( i.e. full power at full throttle without misfires), tires and brakes. If this all works at least it will fly and land. I never fly anything as a favor to someone.🤔

I'm alwas check brakes in short distance and steering rods by wiggling them before driving more fast. I never know how much car consumes oil in trip and a lot of things will poping out down the road. I remember in my last work I got old Ford for the long trip with passengers. I drove it a little in city and nothing was wrong. But on highway it started shaking like mad! Was very hard to handling and road was coatet by thick slipery level of snow as add salt to injury but better to put salt on the road😉. Passengers was angry. They started to call my boss. Turns out that mechanic was aware that all wheels was old and unbalanced probably bended. It's disgusting that he was aware and send me (send in all means). How we can doing our work properly surrounded by scumbags🤔.
