My hair mirrors my anxiety, and seeing your comment I'm just realizing how much it matches. I've noticed themes of starting-over in the past ten years (some stuff happened 10 yrs ago that suddenly shattered some illusions I had). The short haircut represented not needing much (not needing much shampoo, or time in the shower, or energy to style it) and not needing much made me feel less anxious about the future.

I have tugged and pulled out hair since i was really young due to my severe anxiety. i also struggle w depression- especially the past few months- and i haven’t been able to take care of my hair - getting severe knotting and having to tear out large chunks of hair due to large matts that had formed. i’m 18 now and haven’t had my healthy natural hair since i was 12/13 which was also a big reason for me wanting to do this. i miss having healthy hair and not having it super visible that i’m struggling to take care of myself. even since i’ve shaved it i’ve tried tugging but it’s so much harder to do which makes it so much easier to realize and stop myself. a lot of videos i’ve seen of yearly progress don’t have the hair style i want and this is the exact one i’ve been looking for. i am so excited for all my hair to have the same length once it gets as long as this in the next year. i don’t usually make comments but i want to update this comment as a thread every month to track my personal progress- especially getting to see my natural hair color for the first time in nearly 6 years.

I loved my shaved head & I enjoyed every stage of the growing out process because it's so much fun! And the fact that your look changes every 2 months makes it even more exciting 🥰 I have cut my hair into a pixie, and grown it long to mid-back length like 4 times Already! 😆 Currently my hair is past my bra strap and I'm thinking of cutting it again lmfao
Thanks for this video. I got really sick 4 months ago from a virus. Was hospitalized for 2 weeks. Two months later, my hair started shedding in clumps. My hair went from long and beautiful to looking like the crypt keeper from Tales from the Crypt. I lost 70% of my hair. Had to start wearing a wig and 2 days ago I finally buzz cut my hair. The hair loss is temporary and I'm seeing some regrowth but I know the grow out will be tough but seeing your cute ideas made me feel less anxious.

I’ve shaved my head four times now. The first time was the hardest but each time I cut it I find new ways to style it in the growth process. Now im on my fourth time and it’s so fun to just mess around with it as it grows
The concept of "turn your mullet into a bob by just cutting the back only" is a GAME CHANGER for me! I had knee-length hair for 14 years and shaved it all off last year. I kept shaving it again because I hated the grow-out, but I finally decided that the only way out is through and committed to growing it out. Now I'm at the point where the physical discomfort is mostly gone (hair touching or curling into my ears 🫠), but I'm so sick of the mullet look. I have no clue how to cut short hair so THANK YOU for the ideas of what to do to make it look more put-together while I continue waiting until I can just braid it back and forget about it like I used to
I’m a wild Fern watcher, from way back 😄 I feel like your hair grow out totally coincides with your growth as a person. You’ve been so intentional the last year, and it’s really awesome to see. You’re always beautiful, in every stage. Thank you for sharing your journey with us ☺️
I use the beanie method as well. In the morning, I wet my hair down really well especially any cowlicks, then put a beanie on right away and leave it on for 30 min then take it off and its all flat and ready to be styled. To style it I take gel and do a cute combover swirl for the bangs area and then just gel down the areas in the back where cowlicks are.
Super thankful that I found this video. This is my second time shaving my head and I’m only coming into month 2 of the grow out process. I’m getting restless and just wanting my hair to be longer 😅 Seeing you’re little tricks and styles is giving me hope for when I get there
Your hair growth has been amazing!! I've been shaving my head for the past few years, and every time I try to grow it out I just realize I like my hair/head better shaved. Maybe one day I can actually commit to growing it back out lol
Same 😅. I’ll grow it out for 4-6 months and then one day buzz it and the next day I’ll be like what was I thanking then on other days I love it. Currently on month 3 of growing it out 😅😅
I wore bangs for years. Cut them myself using a little pair of scissors. I point. Them up and snip into the bangs holding them up and down. It made the bangs look a little wispier and not such a sold row across my face. You can also adjust the callic in your bangs. Make them look a lot neater and even. Cut it dry so you can see exactly what it looks like
I am currently in mullet mode, 5 months since growing out my shaved head and haven't really been feeling great about it but this gave me tons of ideas and lots to look forward to!
When I shaved mine it was to my waist beforehand and it was pretty funny watching the little audience I had all horrified and clutching each other in shock and panic while it was getting done! 😂
Finallllyyyyy! I've had a shaved Head for 4 years, nearly 5... I love the buzzcut style and would happily keep it. But I've had bouts of really wanted to grow my hair out and my hair is so thick I've really struggled with the ugly hair do ha. I've grown it and been to barbers to cut the back and sides with a view to grow the top out first but I can't be arsed with the cost and the time and the upkeep. I'm the same as you I wanna grow it naturally as I've always had bleached hair. But these videos have given me the boost and tips to just let it be, sure I'm gonna look odd, but nice to see that your hair was looking good for most of your updates! Thanks!
i’m really considering shaving my head. mainly because my hair is so damaged beyond repair and i think it’s my only hope. plus all these stories i’ve been hearing are so much more than just shaving your head
Cut my hair into a pixie; whenever I get impatient about the growth I look at videos of people growing their hair out. Idk why it helps, but it does. I’m for sure keeping my bangs because I prefer my face with bangs and I just love cutting my hair. Ok ok ok, I subbed, found a new UA-cam channel to hyper fixate on
Thank you for making this video, it was super helpful for me! I've been shaving my head for the past year and a half now but finally starting to grow it out!
Thank you so much for this video series! I’m just starting my 5th month in my grow out and I don’t like it at all. Your videos on your grow out experience are always so uplifting, they really help me stay positive on the tough days in my hair growth journey. ❤️❤️
I’m on month 7 and the shag definitely makes it hard to style. 😭 I’m glad I stumbled upon your video because you have some very cute styles to try. Thank you Fern! ❤️
im in month 4 from a 1 guard shave and its soo unruly but i would definitely do it again! i recommend this to anyone that wants to try it, do it while ur young ong because as u get older ur hair starts to grow slower!
Our hair grows about the same rate and I’m at month 5 from shaving completely bald with a razor, so this makes me so fucking excited! I’ve been shaving my head for 4 years and decided I wanted hair again, surprisingly I have loved my hair at every stage but I’m not where I kinda need to start styling it so seeing how you’ve done it is super encouraging. Thank you for this ❤️
@@cozyplantlady11I'm approaching month 6 Lol having an afro means U only see proper growth progress when U damp with conditioner and stretch it. Excited for my Jackson 5 'fro
😢 Im growing my hair from a pixie cut and your hair is definitely growing faster than mine !!! I can’t believe you grew a full head of hair in one year :ooo I cut mine at the very end of may and it’s still like your month 6! A little shorter. I hope by my year anniversary it’ll be like your month 10. The struggle is real over here !!! I’m sooooooooo over it
I just stumbled upon this. I'm currently growing out a pixie that I had cut in the early summer. This gave me lots of ideas for transitional styles. So, thanks!
I’ve had a pixie cut since 2016, I shaved my head completely in January and now I’m curious to see how long I can grow my hair before it bugs me and I cut it all off again 😅
I’m watching this because I stress cut off half of my hair (to my chin from boob length) and an undercut and I realize that both were a mistake. I’m doing a lot of growth methods and I’m trying to keep low heat / mostly virgin hair - I did bleach and dye in purple money pieces and eventually I will dye the bottom half of my hair like I used to have and kind of became my look. Once my undercut gets to about shoulder length I’m probably cutting it all that short and then I’m going to try and grow my hair to waist length, if not butt length.
I first shaved my head about 17 years ago. I have kept my hair short for the same amount of time. (BTW, I loved it shaved!) I kept it short because I had an old jeep ( my dream car) and it wasn't good to my hair. I sold the Jeep last September, and I haven't cut my hair since. Ots been a journey. I played with some dreadlock extensions (braid in, hair protecting) to help with the impatience and boredom of in betweens
This is going to sound wild lol but I shaved my head back in august with a 1 guard so it was pretty short but I'm somehow not 1 month behind like you said I would be! I think I'm just lucky or doing something right! my growth is 3 months as of today and my hair is actually a teeny bit longer than your first 3 month progress pic! That makes me so excited cause now I finally know what my hair will look like length wise in a year, and obviously throughout before I hit the one year mark!!!
This was a big help, I had gotten my head shaven for brain surgery this past August. And I been curious how long would it take to grow or if it will grow. The thickness is back lol. But the length is taking its time big time
Enjoyed this video! You look so good with a buzz cut. I wish I could shave my head...but it would not work for my head 😆. You are a natural beauty Fern, inside and out!
I shaved my head fresh for january 2023 (i already had a year long experience with the pixie and self trims so tried a lot of styles and lengths) and i really wanna do it for January 2024!! BUT... i just chopped off my mullet so i have a short bob but still need to grow it out to balance it. your bangs are so cute it makes me want to cut mine 🥲 I loved month 1-3, months 4-8 wore a lot of hats and bandannas but i would do that anyway. On month 11 now and im enjoying the bob, might do bangs 👀 or ill say screw it and shave it again. I can't be the only one who feels like their hair grew too fast, I miss having a buzz cut so much but I love a shaggy bob. ugh i cant decide but thanks for this relatable video ❤ ill check in in a few months if i buzzed it off lol. to anyone wanting to do it, DO IT 💕
I been growing my hair out for almost a year now I started with an inch of hair in the beginning. My hair is the same length as yours now. I did the half ponytail it looks good, but once my hair is past my shoulders I can do better ponytails.
Month 7 and I am so over it at this point haha. I am having trouble styling it and I just want a bob already. But this was encouraging to see and gave me some ideas for how to style it, thanks!
I think I'm going to shave my head again today :( I've been struggling with health issues for the last 3 years due to toxic mould exposure. My hair has been falling out since and is so dry and brittle. It sticks to itself like velcro. I think it's time to give up and let it go :(
I messed my hair up and I had donated all of it. I was completely bald but then right when I hit a Bob cut instead of going to get a professionally trimmed. I tried to do it completely screwed it up, ended up shaving it again without going bald this time. It's a very much longer buzzcut and I've been investing in. Waves got rid of my trimmers. Obviously, LOL and I'm letting my hair grow with wigs on.
I adore the faded pink! I'm at The Shapeless Blob stage - I have had a pixie for almost ten years. Might end up chopping it off again but I haven't had long hair since I graduated high school. Figured I'd see what it looks like now (:
I just recently shaved my head of dyed black hair of 3 years + colored roots of almost every color lol. ( bleached it too ) my natural hair is dirty blonde & curly so I was just ready to get my natural hair back & not do anything to it. some times I love & sometimes I hate the buzz cut & wish it’ll be long again in a snap of a finger but watching this vid helped me so much & my confidence. definitely inspired me what do with it when it’s long enough to style. especially since mine will be curly. I love the bandana looks & the half up looks.. so freaking cute ! thank you for sharing this video 💚 really needed it ! :)
Excited to see this as I have been watching your progress since I buzzed my hair last July. I have had it cut a couple of times so I’m only on maybe 4/5 months of growth and feeling the pain of it being blah. Need to try some of your styles like the mini pony’s and shrek ears just hope I can pull them off at 38! I 100% copied your little bleached bang idea as I have the same hair colour as you and love it! I haven’t dyed my hair in years so was exciting. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Thank you so much for watching! You're in the thick of things, it will get better soon! And of course you can pull them off, 38 is young :) Good luck on the rest of your grow out x
I’m on my second time around of doing a buzzcut. I never realized but every election year, I go super super short with my hair. This time, the buzzcut was not my first option. I messed up my hair so bad the other night I had to buzz it all off and I’m kind of sad but now I get to actually grow out my virgin hair instead of bleaching and drying my hair off before it can even get to a cute length. Hoping it’s a long time before bleach touches my hair again.
@@vaigaunni9571 I did it myself. I shaved my head myself both times. Second time around I was emotional in the moment and wasn’t really taking my time so I really only have myself to blame.
I’ve been constantly shaving my head n I could never pass the ‘short bob’ EVER! Until this year I’ve made it a plan to grow out my hair WITH NATURAL HAIR COLOR! It’s killing me n I did shave the underneath of my head…gotta have it lol
Thank you for this. I currently have a wide-ish mohawk with #4 buzz on the sides. I've been wanting to grow it out but I've also wanted to buzz my whole head for a really long time. I've been debating whether it'd be better to buzz then grow for the uniformity vs just growing out from where I'm at now. My mohawk is currently 6-8 inches long.
I love your hair growth and faces without getting it cut because that's what I'm doing this time around. I busted a second time just because I thought I messed it up trying to cut it at home this time. First time it was donating it. And intentional period this time. I'm not cutting it at all because I wanted to grow back Without any cuts cause at this point, there's not really any reason to cut it. And I'm glad now I know what I'll be dealing with. But at those phases. What I did was I put gel on? But now I have wigged so I have no reason to have any damage.
I got my hair cut super short in July professionally. I had an event to go to after 2 or 3 months of letting it grow, so I gave myself a trim. I’m about 4 1/2 months into my grow out from my shave in October. I’ve been loving the low maintenance of the short hair, but I really miss my long hair. I’m starting to get impatient, I keep having dreams of me with longer hair. I’m hoping to find a way that can speed up the process a little if anyone has any suggestions
I shaved my hair about 2 months ago and its growing fast. Its still like a buzz cut but it is kinda poofy and i dont know how to style it. Lol thanks for the great video!
You guysss, I have had short hair and mullets for years now and every time I want to grow it out (I lke the short hair, but just... also curious about having it longer again!) I get impatient when I don't like it, and cut it off again
I miss my buzz cut, loved it so much! A few times I’ve said I’m growing it out but every time it gets to looking gross I chop it again and trying so hard not to do it again. I look so awful and I can’t figure out wtf to do to look half decent as it keeps growing. Plus my hair is totally straight so every little thing shows and it doesn’t sort of rough up cute and m double crown makes it poke up in the air at the top/back. I’m so sad.
I just shaved my hair with a 4 guard!! This year its all about growing and changing I've wanted to shave my hair for awhile now, but now I did its a bit awkward at first im not used to such short hair, but I'm excitingly waiting for healthy virgin hair!❤❤
I am at one year of growth and I am stuck. I have an ear length and it has been looking the same for 3 months without me doing anything, I just want to cry
You are so Beautiful 😍, I shaved my head a month and a half ago now I'm getting the baby bangs. Thank you so much for sharing, I love your ideas. I love your hair the way you have it. Plus the barrettes in the middle was cute too. 💜💜
do you sleep in a bonnet? I shaved my head down to the scalp almost exactly a month ago and the side I sleep on most is a bit messed up, like flatter in some spots than others, and I was excited to not need a bonnet (used to have such long hair) but I think maybe bonnets are just. necessary at any length to protect the hair from the pillowcase, unless it's like a satin pillowcase
I had to shave my 2yo daughters head (all had fallen out due to sickness except a small amount at the crown of her head :/) last November and I feel like it’s taking so long to grow back. I’m glad she’s healthy now, but I miss being able to do all the cute hairstyles 😢
Thanks for sharing this and thanks so much for the tips, especially the one about wearing a toque after washing your hair to keep it flat. I have coarse hair as well (and lots of it, when it's long), so I am concerned about how much "sticky-out" I will have, lol. I shaved my hair down to a 3mm when my Mom had to buzz hers off in preparation for chemo treatments nearly a year ago. I have maintained a length between 3mm and 5mm. Now, even though she's still on mild chemotherapy (she is post-surgery and radiation), her hair is twice as long as mine is :) So, it's time to grow mine out, too :) Thanks and take care, eh? Haha
I don't have the courage to actually buzzcut my hair, but I went for a very boyish short pixie and I'm very hot and cold with it, like i hate the back because it's too short but from the front is kinda okay... so I was trying to get the idea on how long will it take me to grow a bob cut. I'm starting at like negative 1 month i the back and lower sides ans 3rd/4th month on the top and higher part of the back and sides. LESSSSSS GOOOOO I'll be cute again in march yay
I wanted to cut my hair short because of work and college together so I was feeling overwhelmed because my thick and coarse hair were long reaching my waist. Dramatic cut... but I dress very feminine and in my frills having a cut like mine wasn't a good idea to me... it's a nice contrast but on some days I feel like a stereotypical masc lesbian playing dress up *cries*. [I stress "STEREOTYPICAL", I don't want to come across anyone as offensive]
You mentioned the one side you sleep on feels thinner. Regular pillow cases are very damaging to your hair. Try getting a silk cap or silk pillow case. Silk caps/pillow cases are for everyone and it's an easy low maintenance change to improve the health of your hair
Yay thanks for this video. My hair hrows super slowly and im feeling reallt frustrated and not myself. I cut it short to about your month 4 length 6 months ago and its still around your month 6 ... I used to have shoulder length hair with baby bangs . Love and miss the bangs soo much. Thinking of trying to add them back into short hair. I rarely wash my hair , just kind of push it back after i swim in the sea and it sticks 😁 not keen on the washed feel or look. Any tips??
I've been debating cutting/buzzing my hair. my depression and ihave this weird thing where im obsessively putting my hair back or up several times a day and get overly stimulated when it touches my face/neck. I just want to start over...I got sober..etc... But I dont have a pretty face or flattering headshape an im just so scared of looking worse than I do.
Interesting video 😊 thanks for sharing ! I’ve been thinking this might be easier to shave my head , and let my grays come in naturally. Instead of trying to manipulate the blend 😅 I’m pushing 60 😢
so awesome and helpful tysm!! i hope this doesnt come across as silly, but would continously flattening my hair overtime result in my hair losing its "natural volume" (due to changing the direction of hair growth)? just buzzed it for the first time but my hair grows perpendicularly out of my scalp so i pretty much have to flatten it. thanks so much!
I've been shaving my head for years now and sometimes I think of letting my hair grow back (I like my curls) but having it shaved is SO EASY and honestly I think it looks amazing in women, every time I see a girl wearing her hair like that I think she looks so fucking cool. Anyways, I came here wondering if I should try regrowing it and I leave convinced of keeping it like this for a bit longer haha
I also wanted to say that you sound refreshingly authentic, I've only just discovered your channel and I'm looking forward to checking the rest of your content :)
I’m really sorry, people can be cruel. If you want to get a buzz cut, or just cut your hair however, do it for yourself, and try to ignore people who say things like that. That’s what they deserve anyway 💕
I’m thinking about shaving but I’m afraid that i’ll hate how i look throughout the growth process. I like to style my hair and i hate my ears and my face shape. I don’t know if a buzz cut could help with that or make it worse

I shaved my head in April so my hair length has been just behind yours all year. Made me feel better to see you with all the stages as well 🫶🏻
I’m a wild Fern watcher, from way back 😄 I feel like your hair grow out totally coincides with your growth as a person. You’ve been so intentional the last year, and it’s really awesome to see. You’re always beautiful, in every stage. Thank you for sharing your journey with us ☺️
Awww - this is so nice. Thank you 🥺💖
I absolutely agree with this ❤
I completely agree too!
using a beanie to flatten my hair has been such a game changer. can't thank you enough for that tip!
Glad to hear that!! :)
omg this is giving me so much hope… i’m like 6 or 7 months in rn and losing my mind!! i’ve been watching this since i started growing it back
I use the beanie method as well.
I’m getting restless and just wanting my hair to be longer 😅
Seeing you’re little tricks and styles is giving me hope for when I get there
Your hair growth has been amazing!!
Currently on month 3 of growing it out 😅😅
Wwoww what a coment😮🎉🎉❤
I wore bangs for years. Cut them myself using a little pair of scissors. I point. Them up and snip into the bangs holding them up and down. It made the bangs look a little wispier and not such a sold row across my face. You can also adjust the callic in your bangs. Make them look a lot neater and even. Cut it dry so you can see exactly what it looks like
I am currently in mullet mode, 5 months since growing out my shaved head and haven't really been feeling great about it but this gave me tons of ideas and lots to look forward to!
Love the growout process! I am on my second shave growout and I'm entering month two.
Ahh so fun!!
What’s crazy is the fresh shave on you is literally sooooo beautiful 😩😩🥺
Thank you 🥺
Cut my hair into a pixie;
whenever I get impatient about the growth I look at videos of people growing their hair out.
You're welcome!! Glad it's helpful :)
You look STUNNING with the shaved head. I wish I had a face to pull that look off too
Thank you so much for this video series! I’m just starting my 5th month in my grow out and I don’t like it at all. Your videos on your grow out experience are always so uplifting, they really help me stay positive on the tough days in my hair growth journey. ❤️❤️
Awe you're so welcome! You've got this 🫶
I used to have most of my hair deep fuchsia about 1.5 years I just gave up all my hair coloring and went gray. It feels better than it ever has since
I’m on month 7 and the shag definitely makes it hard to style.
The blond in your hair is fantastic and the pink is cute
Our hair grows about the same rate and I’m at month 5 from shaving completely bald with a razor, so this makes me so fucking excited! I’ve been shaving my head for 4 years and decided I wanted hair again, surprisingly I have loved my hair at every stage but I’m not where I kinda need to start styling it so seeing how you’ve done it is super encouraging. Thank you for this ❤️
You're welcome!! Good luck with the grow out :) It flies by
@@cozyplantlady11I'm approaching month 6
Lol having an afro means U only see proper growth progress when U damp with conditioner and stretch it.
I’m sooooooooo over it
I'll be shaving my hair soon and this video is such a positive push... Taking some pointers on how to style them💗💗💗
i just wanted to pop in here and say you inspired me to finally take that leap and do the buzz cut. and i love it!
Beautiful girl! She's keepin' it real!
I just stumbled upon this. I'm currently growing out a pixie that I had cut in the early summer. This gave me lots of ideas for transitional styles. So, thanks!
I’m currently growing my hair out, and the back is way longer than the rest of my hair 😭 this definitely motivated me to do a little cut myself
My crown area seems to grow the fastest lol
No matter what your hair looks like, you're always beautiful!
Thank you Lyne ☺️💖 I appreciate this
It really looks cute with the braid in it. You’ve come a long way and your hair and you look beautiful
Thank you Lisa :)
This was a big help, I had gotten my head shaven for brain surgery this past August. And I been curious how long would it take to grow or if it will grow. The thickness is back lol. But the length is taking its time big time
I’ve loved every hairstyle you’ve had but I think your current is my favourite!
Thank you! I love it too 🥰
Life is too short not to have bangs! My hair is long but I love having bangs, they are just so cute!
Agreeeeed - love them!
Enjoyed this video! You look so good with a buzz cut. I wish I could shave my head...but it would not work for my head 😆. You are a natural beauty Fern, inside and out!
Awe thank you so much!! 🥺💖
Been trying to convince myself all day I should shave my head again for summer lol! I’m 8 months into my growth and I’m already sick of it lol!
I can't be the only one who feels like their hair grew too fast, I miss having a buzz cut so much but I love a shaggy bob. ugh i cant decide but thanks for this relatable video ❤ ill check in in a few months if i buzzed it off lol. to anyone wanting to do it, DO IT 💕
You inspired me! I got a half-buzzed pixie this month. And I love it!
Where did u shave -salon or barbershop or parlor?
How did u shave? Using razor or uding trimmer?
I'm such very patient when I've start shaved my hair yesterday guide clipper 5
This has helped me tremendously thank you so much for posting this ❤
My natural is very similar to yours and I totally pictured doing pink like you did but never did! It looks nice ❤ love the pink/platinum chunks!
Thank you 🥺💖
I just recently shaved my head of dyed black hair of 3 years + colored roots of almost every color lol.
Where did u get shaved?
Salon or barbershop or self?
@@vaigaunni9571 I did it myself. I shaved my head myself both times. Second time around I was emotional in the moment and wasn’t really taking my time so I really only have myself to blame.
I’ve been constantly shaving my head n I could never pass the ‘short bob’ EVER! Until this year I’ve made it a plan to grow out my hair WITH NATURAL HAIR COLOR! It’s killing me n I did shave the underneath of my head…gotta have it lol
Your pp looks so pretty 😊
But now I have wigged so I have no reason to have any damage.
such a great video! question - at what point did you trim up the back? thanks!!
Coconut oil and castor oil warmed and used twice a week as a leave-in treatment (wash out next day). Worked for me!
I shaved my hair about 2 months ago and its growing fast. Its still like a buzz cut but it is kinda poofy and i dont know how to style it. Lol thanks for the great video!
Where did u shave -salon or barbershop or parlor?
How did u shave? Using razor or uding trimmer?
@@vaigaunni9571 I used a trimmer at home!
I’m so sad.
Honestly, the side you said looks “not as good” looks better to me, compared to the other side!
How did you style your hair with the 90’s inspired flippy style ? !! I’m on month 5 and i need more ideas😭
I just shaved my hair with a 4 guard!! This year its all about growing and changing I've wanted to shave my hair for awhile now, but now I did its a bit awkward at first im not used to such short hair, but I'm excitingly waiting for healthy virgin hair!❤❤
Can you see your scalp with a 4 guard? Wanting to do either 4 or 5 guard on myself 😬
beautiful story 💛 you are so brave for doing this, plus you look so amazing throughout all styles!
Thank you so much 🥺💖
I am at one year of growth and I am stuck. I have an ear length and it has been looking the same for 3 months without me doing anything, I just want to cry
I'm at month 6 and I hate it so so much but this vid has given me hope
It gets easier after month 6! You’ve got this 🫶
You are so Beautiful 😍, I shaved my head a month and a half ago now I'm getting the baby bangs.
Ha! I'm such a nerd when you said "touk" at 8:25, I thought "took" and was like, "Hobbits?"
Mood! 🤣
I had to shave my 2yo daughters head (all had fallen out due to sickness except a small amount at the crown of her head :/) last November and I feel like it’s taking so long to grow back. I’m glad she’s healthy now, but I miss being able to do all the cute hairstyles 😢
The beenie hat trick. Me too!
[I stress "STEREOTYPICAL", I don't want to come across anyone as offensive]
awe your style sounds so cuteee! i hope your hair grows out asap and makes you feel good again 🫶 enjoy the journey x
I shaved my head in February 2022 and I ended up going the more mullet route so it's fun to see the difference
Here for the 🔥 make-up looks! Such a 💣🐚... the hair update is just 🍒 on top
like your fringe. also very nice complexion blank canvas
You mentioned the one side you sleep on feels thinner. Regular pillow cases are very damaging to your hair. Try getting a silk cap or silk pillow case. Silk caps/pillow cases are for everyone and it's an easy low maintenance change to improve the health of your hair
Nice video. So you didn't go to a hairdresser at all during 1 year (as you said, you cut off the back, you did it yourself?)
Yep I did it myself! I still haven't been to a salon and it's been 16 months.
Month nine was so cute!!
Any tips??
I just used a 1 guard. Liberation.
I like bangs but starting at my nose or chin length
Interesting video 😊 thanks for sharing ! I’ve been thinking this might be easier to shave my head , and let my grays come in naturally. Instead of trying to manipulate the blend 😅 I’m pushing 60 😢
so awesome and helpful tysm!! i hope this doesnt come across as silly, but would continously flattening my hair overtime result in my hair losing its "natural volume" (due to changing the direction of hair growth)? just buzzed it for the first time but my hair grows perpendicularly out of my scalp so i pretty much have to flatten it. thanks so much!
I don't think so! Mine hasn't lost any volume and it's completely grown out now :)
The thing about how you shaved your head is that you’re cute. People at school call me ugly 😢
I’m really sorry, people can be cruel. If you want to get a buzz cut, or just cut your hair however, do it for yourself, and try to ignore people who say things like that. That’s what they deserve anyway
💕
I’m thinking about shaving but I’m afraid that i’ll hate how i look throughout the growth process. I like to style my hair and i hate my ears and my face shape. I don’t know if a buzz cut could help with that or make it worse
My hair will not grow 😢 It takes over half a year just to get it maybe 2 inches if that…
