Happy to see this is a perfect place to be , motivation, double mastectomy, 2 days later a port . First day of chemo college, y’all gotta send so prayer , our hope I don’t get kicked out , for playing jokes on the nurse, Merry Christmas y’all
This is really cool! I'm currently halfway through my chemo and I'm hoping to be cancer-free by this Christmas. I feel really odd because I'm 23 and I don't know a lot of young people battling the same cancer as me, so it's really nice having videos like these to give me hope! Thank you for posting!
I just wanted you to know that I watch this video everyday before I sleep to keep my spirit up, also I’m a lymphoma survivor too and it has been one month since I stopped chemo
Thank you for sharing your hair loss to glamour hair growth, it was so good to know how long it was going to take for me to get my hair back to normal..... mine started to grow back I’d say about a couple of weeks after I stopped chemo treatment in March, so it’s only been two months for me and it’s still really short I can’t wait for my first hair cut 😊
45 year old woman with the same concerns. LOVED YOUR VIDEO. Thank you. I have one last round of chemo on July 29th - but my hair is already growing, patchy - but growing. THANK YOU for the info. YOU ARE AWESOME.
I’m so happy that you doing this video, it was so hard to find something people talk about hair regrow after chemo. Your video is so helpful and amazing. I will be having chemo soon and this video help me understand how much time my hair will grow back after chemo. I want to thank you for sharing your experience with us all. God blessed you.
I am so glad you mentioned the eyelash thing! I am 5 months out from chemo and my eyebrows and lashes started shedding and I am feeling so discouraged about it. I also had THE fuzziest face when my hair started growing in so funny!
Thanks for the eyebrow and eyelash mentions!! That all happened to me too but I didn’t know it was normal. My curl situation is similar to yours so thanks for the great time lapse pics. I am trying to remain calm and have patience. I hope you stay healthy!😊❤😘
Thank you SO much for this video!! I keep coming back to it and rewatching it. I'm almost a year (11 months) post chemo, but I keep feeling like my hair should be longer and the growth process is taking forever. Seeing your progress video is such a helpful reminder that I will get there at some point! I was wondering if you have any specific products you recommend during the growth process? Thank you so much, and I'm so glad you are happy and healthy!!
I am 2 mo post chemo and this video has made me so excited to see the different stages of my hair growing back. I was starting to feel self conscious of the over grown pixie look but after seeing how you didn’t trim the back of your neck, now I have more confidence that mine looks ok too. And wow 15 months isn’t a bad amount of time to wait for normal hair again. I can handle that! Thank you for posting this.
Thankyou for your brave to sharing your hair journey. I lost my hair every second bcoz of the chemo and it makes me broken heart.. but thanks God for everything
Thank you, my hair just started falling out yesterday and it’s devastating to see. My cousin is going to cut it off for me so that huge clumps coming out don’t get me super depressed 😔 i’m very glad you posted this timeline video and the stages. Also happy to see you doing well.
I'm 2 months out of chemo and not enjoying my length right now at all. Thanks for making this, I feel good that in the new year it'll look a bit better 😅🤞🤞💞💞
Thanks for sharing this! I'm glad you mentioned the peach fuzz on your face, too, because I had that and I really couldn't remember it being like that before. I'm currently at the 5 month, pixy hairstyle phase and my hair looks exactly like yours in those photos! The back appears to have waves and the front/sides looks straight. I'm impatient but excited about the process, and also can't wait to braid again!
Finally a video, so I know what to expect. I'm 3 months post chemo. I was dreading the chemo curls, thinking I would look like a poodle. But yours looked beautiful. So you gave me hope. Thank you
I was just diagnosed with breast cancer yesterday and they are talking about chemo and radiation. I love my hair, it's one thing that I don't want to lose. But, your video does make me feel a little better about the process. Congratulations on your recovery.❤️
I just got diagnosed with cervical cancer on 9/13. I have super long curly hair, not looking forward to what I will look like...Best wishes to us on our journeys!
I hoped to not lose my hair, but when it happened, I was not that upset, as I felt I had more worries than how I looked. Chemo and radiation side effects were very hard. One day at a time and the hair will grow back. God Bless All Going Through Cancer Treatment and Thank God too for the knowledge and improvements in treatments these days.
Hey !! You looked beautiful even throughout your chemo... And this haircut is cool as well... I am also experiencing some peach fuzz on my face!!! I am glad to know that they go away gradually!!
Thank you for sharing and mentioning the facial peach fuzz. I finished my chemo last July and I have a blonde peach fuzz beard. I did even think it might be related to treatment.
thanks for the video .. at least now I know what I'm going thru is normal .. I had knee length straight hair so you can imagine my non stop daily horror .. its been 8 months since my last chemo so I'm in the "wait don't do much phase or you'll regret it" I hate my chemo curls and can't accept my hair texture and condition yet .. but can't thank you enough for the video and the explanation .. glad you're healthy and back to normal .. thank you
Awesome video! I went through your same experience, curly hair and all (my bald head was soooo painful I had to use an 'oncology' cream on my head. It was cool and refreshing, smelled like cucumbers). I really would have loved to keep the curly hair since I had always had stick straight hair. But, oh well. And btw, I am 82 years old now and so happy to have a full head of silver hair, no more dye for me! And I'm so glad the chemo and radiation worked - so far, I am cancer-free!!
Wow. Is all!!! Girl, I'm so hopeful that I won't have to revisit chemo. My first round of treatments ended last week with me shaving my head after week 2 as well. I was losing globs of hair in the shower, so.... yea, why prolong the inevitable. I'm praying every day for good scans and success from my treatments. Going through chemo and radiation once is plenty enough for me... God bless, and thanks for your video! It's gonna help me cope with the awkward regrowth
You look beautiful. I thank you for sharing your video, I have completed my chemo just a little over 2 months and excited for the regrowth. Your video is such an inspiration. ❤🙏
thank you so much for your video, I wish I would have seen it earlier. It's been four months since I finished chemo, I can relate to your story so much, I actually lost the rest of muy eyebrows and lashes a month after finishing chemo, but suddenly everything started growing back. so much peach hair on my face I actually got scared I was going to start growing a beard hahaha.
Thank you for you help. I'm 86 years and have nice curly hair. I haven't start any treatment yet, but I have been very concerned about my hair. Thank you again and Merry Christmas.
I am so proud of you what a strong young woman you are. Not sure I could of handled all that. I cut my hair really short as I had a bad haircut years ago. The jerk I was with constantly told me I was being spiteful and how ugly it was. I finally said one day" What if I had cancer and it all fell out, you would want to not be with me because Its ugly? I got rid of him. You are beautiful . I still got my short hair but am thinking of finally growimg it back out. Thank you fot sharing. Glad you are doing well. Keep on keepimg on
Hey Lauren, am going through the same phase, recovering from transplant, I so so miss my hair. Post transplant, like after four months I had shaved my peach fuzz to have a thick and strong growth. Now I am in my third month of growing. Can’t wait to feel my hair slide through my fingers again 😊. Really happy to see your progress and much love to you ❤
You look beautiful at every stage. You are a beautiful person. I love the curls, they suit you so well. I think you should consider getting a perm now they've grown out.
Thank you for sharing! Very helpful and appreciate your share. I lost all my hair and eyebrows along with lashes. So this was very helpful to view your time line. I am 5 months post chemo and very similar to your timeline. I too had tons of facial fuzz! Gone now from threading my face :) I wish you a blessed life and your spirit is wonderful!!!
Thank you for sharing your journey! I can relate to every thing you said in this video - the lashes being weird and falling out some times, the pin straight top half hair and the very curly and frizzy bottom half :’) It’s a crazy coincidence that if my math is right we ended chemo around the same time because my hair right now looks exactly like yours on the last picture before your recent cut! Btw. you hair looks amazing after the cut, it seems so healthy. Maybe I should go and cut mine too to get rid of those frizzy chemo curls hahah
I appreciate this video so much! We have similar hair types and regrowth phases, it's been helpful for me to see the big picture as I've been going along. I'm 18 months post chemo now 🥳
Wow, thanks for the help for those of us who miss our long hair & normal lives (lol) Hope ypu continue to do well & your prognosis is as good & healthy as you look. You are such a dear & so young for this horrible disease. Sorry you had to experience it.
Thank you so much for this hun. I am about six months post chemo myself, so it's very interesting to see the hair growth. I sure wish it would grow faster! Lol
I had very ling hair. I did not lose it until week 8. I doubled up my protein intake and exercised an hour a day seven days a week. I had bo side effects from either chemo or radiation except hair loss. My hair started to grow back almost immediately after chemo ended. It came back the same colour, texture, thickbess etc. I believe it was the protein and exercise.
Thank you for this video 🥰, very helpful as your journey is very simelar to mine, but I am only 1 month post chemo and would like all my hair back yesterday! I shaved off the first baby floof that came after shifting from Ec90 to Taxol, and now a more stiff hair is comeing out. Eyebrows gone after chemo, and yes, that long facial hair is a thing 🥴 I have not lost my lashes, but they are super short and has a very light colour, so they don’t show. I am going to a confirmation in the beginning of May, and I can only hope I have as much hair as you did 5 months post. And hopefully i can have some of those lovely curls too 🤩
First thing. I'm glad you're still here on this floating rock with us, congrats on winning your battle. ❤ Second, you are absolutely beautiful! (In every one of your phases actually) Do you feel like you have regained your health, or are you still noticing negative effects from the chemo or other things? Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for posting this! I am so sorry you had to deal with this. I am 9 weeks post last chemo treatment and I am getting my eye lashes and eye brows back (woo-hoo!).
You look awesome! I have her2+and ER + so had neoadjuvant chemo and now have Herceptin/perjeta and tamoxifen. My hair did start coming back 2 months after the end of hard chemo, but it is super straight and sticks up everywhere. It is only an inch long. I can't wait to get past the hedgehog look. I didn't get chemo curls sadly.
Wow, this is exactly the same as my hair regrowth. My chemo ended Nov 2019 but I haven’t even gotten a trim yet. I really want to just be able to put my hair in a ponytail. I’m tired of having my hair in my face and eyes. Thanks for posting your story.
Thank you so much for sharing this video of your hair growth journey. I just completed my chemo treatments this past Saturday morning, and your detailed timeline of your hair regrowth really gives me a great possible timeline of what to expect regrowing my own hair again. I already have a little fuzz. I’m so excited!! This really helps! I do have a question for you, did you use anything on your head for regrowth like rosemary water, or monoxidil to help attempt speed it the regrowth up? Thank you so much for your time! 💛
Of course, I'm so glad this video was helpful! I tried tea tree oil on my head, a biotin and collagen shampoo & conditioner, and collagen powder. I liked the collagen powder the most, everything else I wasn't sure how effective it was.
I knew someone awhile back she had chemo done because she had Cancer. I don't remember what Cancer she had. But she had more curly hair when she grew it back out. When I had radio active iodine done to me for hyperthyroidism it made my hair more wavy. I like having big hair I don't like it frizzy.
I had my last chemo on December 2022 and waiting for my doctor to determine if I'll need radiotherapy, and my hair is growing again, I used to be very hairy on my face (PCOS/hirsutism) I did laser hair removal on my face months before I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer and boom hair starts growing and also my facial Hair but it's like a lot of super long peach fuzz, and also some dark hairs around the chin area, I'm right now at the buzz cut phase and waiting for my beautiful curly hair to grow back 💖
I looked after my sister for 8 years she had 2 boys my sister lost all her hair I watched her vomit I the street after chemo I’ve cut her her since it’s grown she has a fab Bob so think , I’m so happy you beat it sending you a bog hug 🤗
Emma Watsons doppelganger! Congrats on your recovery, your hair looks great!
Thank you so much!!
Yes
I came to say that
Lol. I was thinking that too. But she is prettier than Emma, especially the eyes.
@@nusrat083 I agree
Girl, I am so proud of you. I am 55 years old and battling breast cancer and hope to be as brave as you! 🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
Thank you so much!!

What a great powerful journey! I'm 8 months post chemotherapy and this video gave me hope about the situation 😅❤

My hair did start coming back 2 months after the end of hard chemo, but it is super straight and sticks up everywhere. It is only an inch long. I can't wait to get past the hedgehog look. I didn't get chemo curls sadly.
Thank you!!
Wow, this is exactly the same as my hair regrowth. My chemo ended Nov 2019 but I haven’t even gotten a trim yet. I really want to just be able to put my hair in a ponytail. I’m tired of having my hair in my face and eyes. Thanks for posting your story.
Of course!! You will be able to put your hair up again before you know it, but I remember always having hair in my face was so annoying.
I'm currently bald from chemo and I also have peach fuzz on the sides of my cheeks. Thanks for your video!
Of course!!
Thank you so much for this video. I’m about to start my chemo treatment in a few weeks.
Wishing you the best as you start treatment!
