I’ll be honest I like the way the game looks like combining the sprites subzero and the 3D objects looks kind of cool and the realistic cutscenes are not terrible at least for me they aren’t.

The only reason I was able to have fun with this game was by using the invincibility cheat code on the n64 version (and I still struggles and died a lot)

Never knew why people I saw playing this for the first time have trouble with the first wind "elevator", they always end up going too high and falling to their deaths, if only there was a uh, idk a DOWN Button

THE LEGENDARY FIRE BREATHING DINOSAUR IS HERE!!! The absolute strongest boss in MK history, I hope we see it again in MK1 or a future game. I tried giving the cheat code to unlock the final fight but the stream ended right as I was posting it 💀
Water level is huge example that developers don't know how to implement ladders and stairs
I beat this game on PS1 but some levels takes days with various attempts. I have feeling that I playing in some arcade game. Don't tried Dragon's Lair but it's looks something like this - traps everywhere, requirement from player to use very precise and quick actions. There is so much good ideas with visuals but at same time so much strange or bad decisions. I'm sure that it's difficult by design because it's not a long game.
Using same controls from fighting was mistake. You don't need 4 buttons for attack. Using commands to activate special moves was not necessary and can be done with 1 button(or combination with 2 buttons). And button to turn is just curse. Elevators in underworld have very cryptic controls. Don't know why not use "activate" button for that.
Some traps just unfair. And some moments just unfair. Camera zoomed to much that it's hard to see that danger is incoming.
1 level start from instakill trap. Yes, this game is brutal for newbies. You need to know that you can't jump right away from balcony to bottom floor or you are slap into ground. And the fact that you can die from falling to high is very brutal. There is no fall damage, there is only instakill.
Wind level shows that Sub-Zero have bad controls in air. You will be falling very often, and this is only 2 level. It was mistake to use so much crumbling and moving platforms. This is also level where you realize that if you don't find key at the end of level, you need to backtrack thought all of this traps twice (back and forward).
Even if Fujin was brutal, I like him. He much bigger list of moves that other bosses (elementals). I don't know what was solution to survive Fujin mega tornado, but I just run to edge of platform and it worked. I use it several times and it's working stable.
Underground level is whole maze with same instakill traps, but at least you almost don't need jump on platforms. But it just have unfair trap with ceiling that will crush you if you don't come with key first.
Golem is strange, but I think I found some solution - spin kick, and after he getting small stun use jump kick. While he getting stunned you slide under him. Repeat 20x times. It's not 100% guaranteed but it's low risk. I'm sad that this fight don't made into something much interesting.
Water level is very annoying. Big maze with same locations and Every time when you need to move vertically you are at huge risk to be thrown into floor (instakill). You miss a rope - dead. You need to jump from rope, but there is guy at edge of platform where you need to jump - dead. You on edge of platform, focusing on your jump on rope - suddenly guy appear and push you - dead. What is also annoying is big distance between checkpoints. There is moment when you need to jump on barrel while water is rising and you just wait. and wait while barrel moving. Unnecessary time wasting. If you die here - repeat same thing. Checkpoint place right at top of this room. You need get key, jump on barrel again and wait while water is lowering (16:34). This big room is placed at the left bottom of level. It's very far from place where you need to go. If you die somewhere, you not only need to repeat barrel section, but also rising on those rope from bottom of this level.
Fire level is just fine, expect lava floor.
All underworld sections are ok, but I think they feels boring, especially final level in pyramid.
There is various bosses, which is cool, but I really need to know whos was big idea to give them input read like in fighting games. It's like they take CPU from MK and put him in this game.
Like i said in the stream when Bi-Han falls we need an edit of the scream replaced by The R2-D2 scream
You can beat the dinosaur pretty easily using the same jump kick and roundhouse strats that work on the robots, although a different timing

MK Mythologies isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

Yeah, one of the worst games of the past. I tried both PS1 and N64 versions and PS1 version without save states I can get as far as to the water level but after that it is no go to me. And in N64 I can't even get that far enough because the emulator, the Project64, as soon as I get to a certain point, it stops working and crashes the game completely. But in general, MK Mythologies is one of the worst games of the past. Like, if they wanted to do a platformer with fighting elements then why not lean towards actual beat'em ups that has platforming sections? Like good old Double Dragon 2 The Revenge on NES for example. But then again, there is a lot of the sections where you don't know what to do, and you have to take a guess. And that is straight up stupid. So yeah, this is the one of MK games that I don't want to return to and play again and I can't recommend it to no one.
I beat this game so many times. I had it on the 64 and my friend had it on the PS1. The PS1 version with the live movie cuts was definitely the better version of the game. It's definitely one of my favorite games of all time. Years later, my brother picked up shaolin munks on yhe PS2, but I never had the chance to play it. I'm definitely waiting on the MK Mythology Remake with some sequals and a new Shaolin Munks game. Looks like Edd Boon is looking for a new project for MK. Hopefully, he brings these games back.
