You guys should do Shaolin Monks ko-op one day. Beat em up style with MK. You can only play as Liu Kang or Kung Lao in the beginning, but if you beat them game with them, or download saves, you can use Scorpion and Sub-Zero. I think it's the best MK game to not be one of the fighting games.
I wasn't too crazy about the past few AVGN episodes and overall the series as a whole lately, but this one was actually a good classic-style AVGN episode! Good job James.

I would love if Netherrealm studios would bring back mini game modes. The Deadly Alliance/Deception/Armagedon trilogy is still the best in my opinion just because of all the little extra things they added like Konquest, Mortal Khess, Super Mortal Karts, a full charecter creator. Ect
When at last you defeated Fujin on the second level, he would throw an unstoppable whirlwind at you and kill you. It took me years to realize that, in order to survive, I had to run to the edge of the platform and stay hanging. This game was hard and confusing af.
I manage to beat it in less than a day when i got it. I just found out like 2 years ago you can hold on to the platform. All these years they mocked me!
The way Avgn plays?? Lol he didn't beat it . He definitely skipped levels with the passwords , he didn't even say there is an exp cap per level and the combos where never shown 😂
jeez. 4 years later and this is still the closest I have felt to the nerd on a specific game. This game is not only extreamely difficult, it is a huge trial and error game. Extreamely frustrating game but its one where you get a little bit farther every time you play the game. Only issue is that once you get a little further and die, you go all the way back. Extreamely frustraiting game but extreamely nostalgic for me. (Had the PSX version. Madr it fairly far, but couldn't beat the 3 transformer robots at a time.)
Problem is. Speed Runners technically don't "play the game." They look for glitches, area/stage by passes, dodges, etc. To get past the game properly. Though it still would be interesting to see what they would do to beat the game.

I don't know what people think of it but I liked Armageddon's story mode. It was interesting and blended adventure and fighting expertly. It did Mythologies a lot better than Mythologies did.

Shaolin Monks VS mode is one of the coolest 3d versions of Mortal Kombat they ever did besides MK4, it preserves the fast paced juggle combo aspect and doesn't opt for the slowed down bullshit Tekken style they've been doing since Deadly Alliance.

Due to the extreme amount of content, he couldn't spend s much time on this one but he has put out 31 other videos this month, 31 videos in October, several Board James episodes, several let's plays, and takes care of his child and deals with all the other shit that comes up in life you don't think about, because most people don't really consider much about other people. I think in sheer professional effort, he ended the year with a bang, and he is going to really step things up in the coming year.

Shaolin Monks VS mode is one of the coolest 3d versions of Mortal Kombat they ever did besides MK4, it preserves the fast paced juggle combo aspect and doesn't opt for the slowed down bullshit Tekken style they've been doing since Deadly Alliance.

I agree. Aside from Shaolin Monks and MK vs. DC, Mortal Kombat went through a very big dork age throughout the 2000's, which led me to think that Midway was just trying to ruin the MK franchise, like they created it and they wanted to destroy it.

***** I highly disagree here. I think the 3D fighting engines sucked major balls. I personally only enjoyed MK1 to UMK3 and MK9 to MKX. All titles between were a dark period for the franchise to me. The classic MKs of course are highly dated today and MK9 is superior to them all.

Due to the extreme amount of content, he couldn't spend s much time on this one but he has put out 31 other videos this month, 31 videos in October, several Board James episodes, several let's plays, and takes care of his child and deals with all the other shit that comes up in life you don't think about, because most people don't really consider much about other people. I think in sheer professional effort, he ended the year with a bang, and he is going to really step things up in the coming year.
