    Brilliant question, after my 3rd reread i've come to think that maybe the lustrous treating Phos when they got their lapis head , (pree moon and post moon arc), at first, I despised them for being so ungrateful and selfish, than come to think of it that Pho's isn't as selfless as they like to think they are, as you mentioned in a prev vid"Kindness disguised as selfishness" was prolly the best way to describe them, as much as Phos wanted to help, they never really took everyone's true feelings into consideration. CInnabar just didnt wanna be alone, instead of Phos accompanying them like a typical anime protagonist would in their own arc, they just wanted to play hero, to validate they're own feelings, as for "saving" the rest of the gems sure to end the conflict between lunarians and gems would be good but Phos again, had to play hero and go underhanded with how they tried to manipulate the gems to coming, but looking at the gems, idt most of them ever really wanted to tun or be saved, rather most of them wee content or wanted smtn else, like dia distancing from borts, benoite being special and lex finding the truth.
    everyone has different incentives, phos failed to understand that, but thats what rly makes this series unique, in how human all the characters rly are, Phos rly is one of my fav characters to how they develop themselves, the relationships between phos and the characters are really smtn else, despite all this, it doesent change the fact how depressing life is for phos when they turned into a god, the only thing left that can absolve the gaping hole in pho's life is just ending it rly, as thats prolly the only kind of peace the can ever truly have. sry for the mispelling, it is a 2nd language.

      Yes in the Cairngorm video I did I believe! I use a similar line of a "guise" in this video as well please look out for it! Don't worry about the misspellings I could understand your comment clearly. Our shared love for poor Phos carries over.

      One really interesting bit about the whole thing with playing hero to Cinnabar is that when going to the sea young phos outrights admits that they were "fulfilling" cinnabars supposed dreams out of selfishness and i think its fascinating that you get this honest self assesment of their own feelings with that naive version of phos as compared to moon phos who seems to be lying to everyone, including themselves to cope

      Great comparison on Phos here yeah it’s striking to see how much the single-minded vengeance warps their words to this degree.

    Still feel really sad for Rutile and Yellow. Like Yellow still got his wish yet ended up with dementia.
    Also when will Ichikawa finally stop playing with her ps5, super mario picross and tayaki maker. I want to see my poor baby Phos finally get some happiness

      In a way Phos was happy with the rocks, they pretty much did the same thing they did when they were a simple level 3 Gem. Sat back, watched the scenery, sang a little, and talked with friends. As Winnie the Pooh once put it “sometimes doing nothing can lead to the very best something”.❤️

    another great video
    i thought phos came up with the idea of gems betraying kongo would get him to react because he was frusrtrated
    frustrated with kongo and that he forgave phos but also never gave any answers to him and he broke with that frustration when he finally called kongo out for lying
    he really wanted a reaction out of kongo

    • @inspirashamul
      @inspirashamul  Рік тому

      Yeah for sure Phos really wanted something out of Kongo but he sadly couldn’t provide any form of closure in a reaction that seemed appropriate.

    An excellent video as usual, I’m very excited for a dia analysis! You’re also so right about the gems attention span, you can see how casual dia and bort are after their confrontation (tho I suspect that kind of scenario wasn’t surprising to either of them) I also noticed you didn’t mention cairngorm, I wonder if they have the same causal interactions with their own sibling who they admitted they hate at least indirectly. I haven’t read the entire translation for party at the end but I didn’t see it mentioned at all.

    • @inspirashamul
      @inspirashamul  Рік тому +3

      Yeah! I left out Cairngorm and Cinnabar because Cinna I talked about in Part 1 and will for Part 3 while Cairngorm didn’t get any choice so they wouldn’t fit for the ambiguity that this video was going for (Cairn will have a bigger role for part 3 because of all the changes they go through)

    This video went under my radar, the classic UA-cam notifications.
    For the analysis, another astonishing work, it is just effective in delivering the information. Well, it's a tragedy to the end, Phos wanted the other gems and Kongo to do something, anything, in response to the events, any reaction would be enough, but the quick return to status quo and Phos moves were what led to Cairngorm's statement over Phos.
    To answer your question, yes, Phos did manipulate them, heck, manipulation is a very human thing, we do it day by day, even without any malice or even selfish intentions.

    • @inspirashamul
      @inspirashamul  Рік тому +1

      Hahah yeah notifications suck so much on this platform sadly. But thank you regardless for watching it when you can! And exactly, it is what makes Phos so inherently human with that simple form of betrayal - manipulation.

  • @krisynthiagomez5883
    @krisynthiagomez5883 9 місяців тому +1

    I'm of the opinion that Lapis manipulated Phos. In the beginning Phos was essentially useless even when they attempted something it couldn't really amount to much because they lacked motivation, ambition, or curiosity which are sort of essential when you want to instigate change. All Phos could really do was react, before they received Lapis's head even their attempts to figure out Sensei's and the Lunarian's plots were limited by their inability to act on the little information they had. It would have been impossible for Phos in their semi normal state to manipulate the Gems in the way they did after receiving Lapis's head and returning from the moon.

    • @inspirashamul
      @inspirashamul  9 місяців тому +1

      Yeah for sure. Phos went from reactionary to actionable which is a great way to putting it!

    Great analysis, the attention soan concept for the gems is def smtn i didnt take into account. One question, considering the attention span, do u think the gems after 10k yrs rememberrd phos's doings with the exception of a few?
