Can you please help me? I have a few questions about my car is there. A number I can reach out to you
great job. Fact of the matter is, with older cars, as long as we can do a decent repair job to make it look better than it was, there is no need to go to expensive body shops. This turned out great. No one is looking at our cars that hard ever. You do great tutorials.
Thanks for the video, seems like a good budget option for a lot of us out here!
So glad to see you again ,I’ve been thinking the past few weeks wondering if something was wrong hoping you were ok.
Indeed. The blending of the clear coat is tricky. Thanks for the information.
Other dent under the door handle.. :-) Not caring if your beaters dented works too. :-)
Ah spring the season of paint repairs and the sweet smell of 2k clear
Nice work. Good coverage of all the steps
Glad to see some more content!!!!
This is a nice Pro / DIY blend.
I'm no professional im 28 I started working as a tech at a body shop back in 2020 I know alot but not everything. Only thing I'd critic on the door is, I would have pulled the door panel off and tried to level out that low spot. Always the less filler needed the better. You also had a decent amount of 80 grit scratches showing but overall pretty good.
Eman! Where u been bud! Nice to see you again. Great job on the body work. May be worth mentioning doing a guide coat. Lol I'm the same way, laying down the primer and looking at the dent saying "awww shittt" when you notice its low or high 😆
The primer color looks so satisfying.
I literally own the same whip with a dent in the exact same spot
Busy patching up my 2004 Hyundai Coupe (Tiburon), scrap value in UK £200 😁 It will be fifty shades of black by the end but it drives just fine.
Always a treat bro!!
Nice work. Thanks
AMAZING instruction video!! You covered all the basics. Thank YOU SO MUCH for the video!
Excellent video, thanks!
Glad to see a new video!
Where did you go !?!?! And welcome back !
Duty Sulphur reporting for duty !!! Lmao
(do it yourselfer)
great job you should make more of these videos you go into detail. Excellent
Excellent video
Stunning
Very nicely done. I get a bit mental planning my masking on something like that. Generally move the masking after the base coat so I'm sure my clear has covered all color.
Amingo, you are forward again. Big up yuh self, from Jamaica. Yes I.
❤ love you videos ❤
Thats a hell lotta work for a small dent. The sanding, priming, blending... Gosh. Its doable provided there's equipment and time.
There's a reason why body shops charge so much. It is a LOT of work.
Not sure what else you’d expect. To get the bare minimum of acceptable results, the prep involved for painting takes a good chunk of time.
If you enjoy it as a hobby it’s not a big deal. If you’re just doing it to save some money, then bodywork probably isn’t worth it. After the cost of materials and time to get it done you probably won’t actually save much.
@@Jim.Lake. Yes indeed.
Great video again. But you forgot to tell us how long to wait between basecoats. Also an extra second to show us the polish or polished you used would have been nice. Those little things make the perfect video.
I'M TRYING TO FOLLOW STEP-BY-STEP DID YOU DIP THE SANDPAPER IN WATER 12:17 GREAT JOB!!!!
Good to see you again!
I do wonder if the paintless dent removal guys would repair this dent. They seem to work magic.
Shrinking stretched panel must have a limit.
Nice job, quite a process. Not quite so sure about the socks and sandals though ;)
👍
I know you have quite a few videos on painting, but what would be the DIY solution to paint coming off with primer? My white car's paint is flaking and exposing the metal surface in one go. (As far as stopping it from getting worse, and would blending the paint next to the bare metal be fine for priming over
If you mean feathering out a valley that goes down to the bare metal, you need to put a few coats of primer on it to fill the missing paint thickness, for that you have to use high build primer from a compressor paint gun, the ones that come in a spray can are very thin, those are only good for covering burnthroughs and filler. If you don't fill the hole it will show up wavy when you're done painting it.
@@orangeflavoredmf noted, that makes sense. Thank you
What kind of illegal socks & sandles combo are you rocking at 22:00 ?!?
@14:29 👍
Nice shoes.
Geez. Where have you been? Nice new camera!!! (Addendum: It turned out pretty decent! Good job.)
So... at the end there... were you sitting too long? Or limping because the avocados?
Injured my ankle playing soccer between the basecoat and clear coat day lol
@myRatchets well that'll do it. In my youth when I twisted an ankle during soccer I just stomped it a couple time. At this age think I'd need to be carried off.
Good enough for government work.
PDR, touchup paint, and try to not show the customer that side of the car as much as possible. Used car sales department knows best!
I can smell the bondo
Stop sniffin it😂
@R&W - Haven't seen u in a bit... Good to have u back. "Spot/area" repair is useful info, everytime I tried/made one it sucked bigtine 🫣. Anyways... Also looking forward to any update (ECU repair?) on that Lexus LS400 (my favorite all-time vehicle).
got 2 "rebuild" ecu's for that car both bad. Finally the third one worked. seems like 93-94 LS400 ecus are hard to rebuild or break down a lot!! anyways I would stay away as there will be a point you cant' find the ecus anymore. GL
