Seriously, out of a hundred videos that I've seen about NFT's, your's was the most complete one, not only do you talk about how it works, but also how it can be a good thing and how it can be an awful thing, usually people focus on only one of those points, so thank you, now I finally understand NFT's

My daughter just told me about NFTs for the first time today. It was extremely hard for her to explain to me exactly what they are. And why they even are. So, I searched UA-cam, where I learn everything. And what do you know? My favorite tech channel had this awesome video. Perfect explanation and non-biased review. Thanks so much.
Disagree! You could still put that cabbage in your bag and show the receipt at the register. Then you can take the cabbage home and feed it to your pet rabbit. You may be out a 100 K but you have a happy rabbit. 🐇 That makes the receipt more valuable. After all, your rabbit doesn't want your NFT! 🙄 Like omg.
Hoping that MrWhostheboss keeps doing videos like this. I bet he will. He wants to use his platform for more than just typical youtube reviews. It brings him some fulfillment. Bless him! We need more of this peeps!
As a gamer, this just scared the crap out of me… the idea hit me before it was even said, what’s to stop game companies from taking this idea and selling access to areas of a game, then pretty soon micro transactions become mandatory. All in all it all seems like that mobile app that’s $1,000 that’s just there to show someone spent $1,000 on an app.
well people can stop them if they stop playing their game...but look on Counter strike for example...their skins are pretty much "nfts"(without nft tech) does it ruin that game or force player to pay microtransactions? I dont think nfts are bad for games per se but there are definitely companies like ubisof which are gonna try to milk players on it
To some degree locking access to certain areas behind a paywall could be brushed off as some kind of DLC-type thing. Mobile games do that already. But it could be even worse than that my guy. Think about it like this; imagine if games start putting out skins or weapons or anything of that nature, but they're unique, only one of that "thing" exists in the entire game, and the people playing will have to bid on it to see who wins that item. RNG is already a cruel bitch, but imagine if something was ultra-rare not because RNGesus wasn't on your side, but instead because there was only one of that thing and some asshole basement dweller spent 25000$ to buy it. THAT is the kind of shit that scares me in all this.
@@sjetejmaniak6595 microtransactions are what ruined completed game sales and availability nothing released is finished and ready for market everything is released buggy as fuck and is all Paid Access beta testing done by fking Shills rather than someone who will actually be critical of the game rather than fanboying it!

@@yeoldefoxeh254 I never claimed to be unbiased? @@twosinister This may be true, unfortunately as shown in the video, the overwhelming majority of NFTs are nothing but mass produced easy cash grabs. The NFTs with the actual advantages implemented without all the sneaky sneak are probably like 0.0001% of all NFTs
NFT’s perceived value is purely based on the “greater fool” principle, which is in the core of most financial bubbles. People pay a lot of money for something based on the belief that there will always be someone willing to pay more. It’s a self (un)sustaining process and it falls apart as soon as the hype goes away.
Yes, but so is the amazon stock price, among many other stocks. Amazon doesn't pay its investors any dividends so it's basically the greater fools theory
@@adivp7 u get the same with NFTs, but with community of like minded people. There can be a book club that's only accessible to anyone who holds the NFT. If the club is very popular, and a lot of people would love to be part of the community, it's price will increase
@@adivp7 If the company pays dividends to its investors, that would be totally correct. For example, Apple pays 4 dividends annually to its investors, and therefore the "greater fools theory" does not apply. Watching Crypto and NFTs crash is one of my favourite things. The level of disconnect from reality is staggering. I really have no sympathy for those who lose money buying intangible things. I do however pity them for their stupidity and greed.
The problem is that it's now 2022... meaning many young people literally grew up buying intangible things. Hell, in a way, stocks themselves feel intangible. But we buy digital music, digital games, digital shows etc.... And the very idea of copyright and ownership itself is intangible...
@@TheDeathmail Im too old now... First of all, you must differentiate between buying and paying. Paying for something doesn't automatically mean you are buying it. Not every payment means you are the owner of something. And about ownership itself, that's something you fabricated... Again, you cannot just redefine words to fit your perspective. Ownership is well-defined, that's why courts are able to make decisions about who is the owner.
You’re happy to see people lose money? Solid sign of a jealous person right there… Lots of people have made a ton of money on Crypto & NFT’s, just because you haven’t got the money or balls, or brains to understand it, no need to be jealous of those that are making money 😂

Dude not even kidding out of everyone that I've watched and has explained NFT's and I mean hundreds you're explanation is the most straight forward understandable and logical explanation that I've come across so thanks for this.
Agreed, it actually made it make sense as to why people would see it as more than just paying for a jpg, to the people the nft's appeal to. (Because before it made 0 sense.)
And it's the most unbiased. I don't like how NFTs are being used, but using the blockchain to provide foolproof ownership of something has SO MUCH MORE potential than scammers selling JPEGs.
yesterday, pixel artist Jubilee had their art stolen, and someone sold it as NFTs and made over 174 000 dollars. NFTs are perfect if you want to make money off of stolen art because many places selling NFT (like openseas) got so many reports that the art that is being sold is stolen they stopped doing anything about it and just... allow it to happen now.
The real problem is due to the concept of an NFT in the first place. An NFT, regardless of what it is linked to, does not confer any sort of ownership for anything other than the actual NFT itself. So selling an NFT that is linked to a piece of art that you don't own isn't "technically" theft, because you're not selling the piece of art, nor are you selling any rights for that piece of art. NFT's as a general concept aren't necessarily a scam, but their application and the vast majority of the way they are currently used is absolutely scam-like.
pull your head out your ass. if the artist doesnt legally establish copyright the only evidence of that piece belonging to them is their word and editing files. in 10 years that will mean far less than dated proof on the eth chain
@@Aaron565 What a lot of utter rubbish. I can sue someone in court who stole my art and sold it (claiming to be the distributor) and then prove I'm the owner with the original photoshop files with all the photoshop layers. I could also provide a higher resolution image of the low resolution, compressed JPG circulating on the internet. The court won't give two sh*ts about the blockchain. The theft is proven. Ownership is determined by the law and GENUINE non-fungibility of original art, not some BS, polluting token that literally anyone can create. Any smart digital artist knows to never upload original photoshop files, never upload the art at its highest resolution, never upload without a watermark etc. This is why NFTs are solving a problem that doesn't actually exist. It's literally just a scam that scammers are jumping on to fleece the incredulous of all their cash.
Honestly i stand against NFTs. Buying something virtually for such a huge price just to have it under your name, while the owner still has the actual rights to it doesn't still make sense. It changes the value of Hard-work and doesn't really show from what you've earned your money. I'd gladly support this system if it was for example physical paintings/art works you can buy off site and stuff. Fair play for Arun to standing Against it 🙌🙏.

This video was so well formatted. It allows you to understand the difference aspects, benefits and negatives of NFTs, and how our world is digitally changing. Thanks for making this video!
Basically, NFT is the way you can milk their money for something that will WORTHLESS after some time passed. The same thing with how Coin priced bubble at 1980s that get massive price increased and then it become no value after bubble exploded. And now, collection games and cars still have steady growth/decline, but they will alive for years due rarity and conditions will affect the price. The biggest reason why I HATE all kind of this because it was being controlled by person/group that waiting for speculation released and just crashed them when it reached peak to killed for those who bought for that stupid systems.

Everyone who may have doubts seeing the first two parts of the video, don't worry Arun (as always) wants to give a balanced view on the whole subject. While it's important to show the problems of nfts (in what they actually are, how they are made, and the risk of some of their technologies), it's also important to understand why so many people want to get into them or use them; especially because it can humanize a bit and show a bit of the reasoning behind people who support them, and in turn it can help the conversation by steering it in a way where there's an understanding rather than a war. Marvelous job as always arun
Thank you for coming out with this extremely perfect timing to shed light on the most trending and confusing topic of NFTs right now. This is exactly what I had in my mind and was looking for. I feel like the saying, “Great Minds, Think Alike” is definitely true in this case especially as NFTs are nothing but a money-power-show. Physical goods or the actual artist, who made the physical or digital art, has far more value. Than, owning a jpeg image that one didn’t even make. So thanks for the clarification! Lots of love from 🇧🇩! ❤️❤️
Thank you soo much for explaining NFTs and standing well against it , I had consistently told friends and family to avoid NFTs because it just seemed like a gigantic scam waiting to happen, especially when you bring in the fact that there's zero protection for your so-called "ownership" of an NFT, it's just encouraging the wrong activity that isn't benefiting the world at all.

This is such a good video, Arun, thank you for making it! I will most definitely use it to inform people who are unaware of what NFTs are. That being said, I just can't understand why NFTs even ever became a thing. I'd much rather support artists by commissioning them. That way I get a one-of-a-kind piece of art and most artists will make sure that the commissioner gets the high-res version of the picture and everyone else just gets access to a low-res version. Or supporting artists on Patreon, where I pay a monthly fee and have access to their art. I see much more value in that. NFTs just seem so stupid when you think about it and the fact that many NFTs include stolen art on top of the heap of other issues makes me never want to be involved with it.
The artist can get a commission every time it's sold in the future through royalties. I know most people don't buy actual art with the intention to sell it so this income would be small in most cases. It's still more for the artist though! I say actual art because 98% of NFTs are your standard 10000 collection made from random combinations of the same assets. I personally don't think of this as art.
Many artist who are now creating NFTs - especially those who are creating one off pieces are also offering the physical artwork to the first buyer of the NFT - so literally kinda reverse to what you've suggested. This is what I will be doing with my first NFT collection later this year. The NFT will be a high res image of an original oil painting or mixed media painting. The first buyer of the NFT will have the option to receive the actual artwork shipped to them. As a single parent trying to support my family through my art business, the nft space is a game changer for me and many other emerging artists I know :)
You can still commission a physical art piece from the artist, NFTs are just the digital version of that. Everything is shifting to digital. Even work is online now and it will not go away after the pandemic. Moreover, many artists are offering an NFT version of their physical pieces. The two can very well coexist.
@@Emilioh888 The artists I’ve commissioned so far have all created digital artwork. But the difference is that they sent the artwork in high res to me so now only me and the artist have the high-res artwork. There’s nothing that needs to be on the blockchain, that’s what I was trying to say. Most artists I’ve spoken to so far hate NFTs and want to sell their art digitally but via Patreon or direct commission.
@@goonie8814 I highly doubt that artists getting royalties every time it’s sold will work properly in the future since there’s already so much stolen art being sold as. NFTs. In theory it’s nice, but the reality is often quite a bit different. Also, most artists want to sell their art through other means such as Patreon, direct commission, etc. and not as a glorified receipt.
Really good point there on how NFTs nowadays are just a lazy copy-paste images with tiny difference. Feels like those are discriminating the actual artist that put lot of efforts to make each one of their piece unique in a true sense.
A literal cartoon monkey shouldn’t cost millions, and honestly it disrespects actual artists that spend countless hours making detailed physical paintings, not a useless png image to stare at on a computer screen.
@@janitor3853 it's like art is not the problem, the buyers are. Majority of them are buying shit called as art to avoid paying taxes. I love how this video isn't just "NFT good" or "NFT bad", and then only digs into surface-level information. Instead, Arun provides facts and logic, giving both the good and bad sides of NFT's, and then gives his own beneficial advice based on the facts.
Actually, I think it's a very clever way to package the brutal criticism this scam deserves. Today, a lot of people can't tolerate criticism anymore, to the point that everything needs to seem "fair and balanced", even if something doesn't deserve fair and balanced treatment at all. Like racism. Or medical scam products. Or flat earth ideas. So if you want to get the brainwashed people to listen to what's what, what do you do? If they leave their filter bubbles at all, they are wary of everything that could pop their bubble. So you need to be respectful towards their bad ideas and criticize them in a friendly way instead of tearing them down. If that was actually Arun's goal, I admire the result! Regardless of his intentions, it makes it much harder to dismiss his message.
This was a really great video and I think you did a great job informing people of the Pros and Cons of NFTs. I was wondering if you ever do a follow up if you could dive in a bit deeper about the illegal activity with Art Theft, specially what's happening to artists that don't even sell NFT's that are having their art sold as NFT's against their will and how easy it is for art thieves to do this and how hard it is for artists to get these NFTs taken down. Great work man.
that exists without NFTs as well, people sell illegal copies of stuff everyday, and some of the stuff like torrents are very hard if not impossible to take down. The artists just need to file DMCA. Not saying that it's justified but I don't understand what NFTs have to do with this
@@phoneywheeze art theft exists yes but it’s far easier, and more damaging with NFTs. As an artist yea your art might sell on a shitty tshirt on a janky website and may sell a few copies for $20 a pop(all of which requires work to print, sell, ship) with nfts its insanely easy to mint someone’s art, be completely anon, sell someone’s NFT, maybe make $50 maybe $10000, then create a new wallet and peace. Not to mention there’s already sites selling nfts that either don’t offer take down options or make it insanely difficult. I know artists that have over 100 pieces or art being sold as NFT. Do you know how long that’s gonna take to file over 100 dmca’s and how much wasted time that is. The magnitude of ease to pretend to be an artist and sell their art for lucrative amounts of money with ZERO consequences is massively increased in the NFT space right now.
@@Lastlineshow lol copying for $20 or for $20k, both are unethical. I live in third world country and I see goods of popular characters and I'm 99% sure they don't have the IP rights to them, even in huge malls. And there are literally no sites that dont offer takedown, because guess what, the stolen artwork isn't hosted on the blockchain(which is immutable) but it's on some centralized server, and if they don't take down the artwork that has nothing to do with NFT, but it's problem of the server. Same with the consequence problem. If they don't face consequence on centralized server it doesn't really matter if they sell it using NFT or on their own website.

Rushing to trading without adequate orientation or trading with a professional with a good broker for accurate signals, you might lose all your hard-earned money. Frank Woodman is my Master trader, i have been quite successful with my trade. good weekly profits margin. Thanks Frankie
Successful trading require discipline, patience, adaptability, mental toughness, independence, and forward thinking. When I asked my followers from different platforms what are they immediate financial goals, most of them said that they want to make their first million. So that's what we're doing today.
My advice to newbies, do well to carry out your research so you're accustomed to the nature of the market. The risks as it is a very volatile market and requires expertise.
Personally as a first time investor, I started trading with Mr Woodman With $1,000 now my portfolio is worth $5,400 within the space of few months trading with him.
as a person who does digital art, I like to put a unique signature in an area that is essential to the piece and thus cannot be cropped out, like underneath the chin on a fullbody.
7:00 these companies that sell digital land are literally selling pieces of map that’s not even printed. You can buy a physical world map in your nearest bookstore for a couple of euros/dollars/pounds and this way you’d 1. Be the owner of the entire world by the exact same logic that stands behind buying NFTs of virtual land 2. Actually have something tangible. NFTs are single dumbest investment idea ever.
thank you for bringing up the clarification of nfts in regards to games and how it wont just magically transfer to other games or even the same title of games.
@@jonw834 That not how it works, you can't just transfer one items in a game to another. Every videogames is built differently in certain way even if they are on the same game engine.
depends really , been in the industry for about 11 years and let me tell you companies like to redo assets a lot even within the same teams between newer instalments of games. not sure how Cod operates internally but yeah that would be the one area where there's the possibility since its the same visual style and probably the same engine running it so its going to be a little more straight forward on how to port it over. The fidelity of the model will look dated in a few years though, or new shaders come along, better rigging techniques to have better tactile feedback and animations etc... And thats just a gun, probably the more easily swapable asset. Also if its an nft does that mean they can`t update anything for that gun even if they decide to port it over to the newer games? because technically they`re changing the content of your nft if they try to make it work in newer engines. also lets say you own a ww2 style gun in 1 cod and the they release a scifi one. its going to look very out of place in that setting so they need to make the deliberate decision to port that gun over for you to be able to use it. It always takes work to do so even if its relatively easy in some cases but usually it isn't
There is always a way to make money in this market! While the market has not been set to easy mode recently, there are still nft to flip, solid coins to stake, IDOs to ape into, trades to make, yields to farm. Never stop hustling for those gains!
@@Natalieneptune469Well, just like you have in crypto, NFT's volatility may be influenced by factors which include but not limited to: basic economic supply and demand, investor and user sentiments, government regulations across the countries that use non-fungible tokens as well as crypto currencies, pump and media hype (buyers sometimes purchase expensive NFts only to later find out that it's not worth much). All of these work together to influence price volatility, which is why it's pertinent for one (esp someone new) follows the guides of an experienced market pundit who already knows all the market maneuver. It betters your chance at maximum profit by more than 100%.

Then it goes back to the nermal audio after 10:34. But I just wanted to let you know about that issue. But this video was great though. I think NFTs are dumb because you don't actually get anything you can actually hold or a physical item. It just is crazy how much people spend on these. Same thing for the virtual baseball cards.
You made the intro of the video, as a positive representation of NFTs so as to lure in people who are into buying NFTs and then proceeded to explain why that's a bad idea. Well done, you really had us in the first half, ngl

Took months for the doge traders to shut up and accept their loss/tiny profit and the Shiba traders are starting to get quiet now too.
It's just another speculative investing tool like crypto, but now that crypto is relatively stable, they needed something else like it. I don't expect NFTs to stick around, but I do expect something just like it to come along eventually
I mean, why do you think NFT bros are trying to convince you to buy in 247? If they're genuinely valuable, people would see it immediately. They need bagholders . It's like a pyramid scheme. Only the first 10% or so make anything realistically which is why people try to dilute what percentage they're in
NFT's are an issue but there is so much money to be made in crypto. Example i invested in an altcoin called market MOVE and i literally made 20x and will probs make another at least. So many opportunities that it's hard not to dip your toes in
But...people dump money into Farmville a decade ago. Never underestimate the human mind. Kids are buying skins for games..... There is an entire generation getting hornswoggled on this coming up. May as well make some money off it. Go buy some real land lol
I'm glad people like you really try to clear things up about NFTs. Most people I talked to really think that they become the owner if they buy the NFT. It's just another trend and people for some reason love to blindly follow those.
It such bizarre world. Most of the population on earth have problems/struggles to get physical goods which have values/purposes. Here in digital world people are buying virtual things in which most of the digital things don't carry any values.

It all started with a game called Second Life, remember that???
well people can stop them if they stop playing their game...but look on Counter strike for example...their skins are pretty much "nfts"(without nft tech) does it ruin that game or force player to pay microtransactions?

NFT’s perceived value is purely based on the “greater fool” principle, which is in the core of most financial bubbles. People pay a lot of money for something based on the belief that there will always be someone willing to pay more. It’s a self (un)sustaining process and it falls apart as soon as the hype goes away.

Watching Crypto and NFTs crash is one of my favourite things. The level of disconnect from reality is staggering. I really have no sympathy for those who lose money buying intangible things. I do however pity them for their stupidity and greed.
The core problem with NFTs is, that they are very much NOT non-funginable...
Not every payment means you are the owner of something.

yesterday, pixel artist Jubilee had their art stolen, and someone sold it as NFTs and made over 174 000 dollars.
NFTs are perfect if you want to make money off of stolen art because many places selling NFT (like openseas) got so many reports that the art that is being sold is stolen they stopped doing anything about it and just... allow it to happen now.
Yeah, there is no secure property, all you are buying is an ID number, confirmation of that property is arbitrary and random.

Started binge watching all your old videos. Thank you for making such great quality videos for free for all to watch!
You should wait until the end of the video to comment your stupid nonsense

@@janitor3853 The same can be said by simple or "abstract" art that's little more than buckets thrown at a wall.
@@janitor3853 it's like art is not the problem, the buyers are. Majority of them are buying shit called as art to avoid paying taxes. And the so called influencers are pushing these images into social media as "art". That's why many of us highly doubt who will buy this shit called art for such a ridiculous amount, but people apparently are buying it.
Success is about focusing Your energy on what creates results and using what you already know
This was a really great video and I think you did a great job informing people of the Pros and Cons of NFTs.
Folding Ideas "The Line Goes Up - The Problem with NFTs" touches on this
that exists without NFTs as well, people sell illegal copies of stuff everyday, and some of the stuff like torrents are very hard if not impossible to take down.
@@Bayplaces I did watch that and I think he did a great job diving into the art theft side of things for sure.

Depends on the platform the games are made on

youre probably invested due to FoMO, and now in your desperation because you arent looking at profits try and keep the hype train, like litterally all nft and crypto traders.
Only the first 10% or so make anything realistically which is why people try to dilute what percentage they're in
@@man4437 close, its not like a pyramid scheme, it is one 🤣 but its nice to see other people woke to the situation
NFT's are an issue but there is so much money to be made in crypto. Example i invested in an altcoin called market MOVE and i literally made 20x and will probs make another at least. So many opportunities that it's hard not to dip your toes in
"... this NFT craze definitely feels like a bubble that is about to pop ..."
Yeah I am really agree 👍👍👍
(trend)
Make NFTs to sell before then!
I am also really agree
@@CLove511 oh, I'm watching this ship burn but I don't intend to be in it
But...people dump money into Farmville a decade ago.
This NFT issue needed to be addressed. Thanks!
Thank you for making this video! i really wanted to understand NFTs but you're the one person who can explain everything and everyone would understand
*This is something I find very intriguing and keen to look into , my cousin tells me a lot about it but It doesn’t change the fact that I am a newbie , I need to learn guys*
I greatly appreciate your honesty and how this worked out for you. I’m trying to learn this and integrate this strategy into my portfolio, just wanna do it right. This helps a lot. Learning what not to do is as valuable as learning what to do, this video provides both but later on I was convinced to try out packages of Vcorpinvest🟣Com which have yielded lot more profits all to my bank account

After watching so many UA-cam tutorial videos about trading I was still losing
Sadly these are one of the change in forex trade or crypto trade is not always assured
That's why I perfer NFT crypto token than trading crypto because I NFT crypto token you have 100% sure of your profit earned
Growing an account require dedication and patience.
Throughout this 2022 I only invested in NFT crypto token because it's the most reliable since I start it
Who else think this forex is kind of easy but there's a way to nervous to start and the only way now is NFTs crypto token
Immaculate logic. Really clear explanation. Thank you good sir.
Agree that it's lot of hype. However, what about usernames on Twitter UA-cam etc or domain names?
Thank you for bringing this topic up since a lot of people including myself didn't really understand why its being hated on.
i can just screenshot it lmao
@@motakez731 I hate nfts as much as the next guy, but that is such a dumb argument, it literally shows that you have no idea what you're talking about. people who own nfts couldn't care less if you download or screenshot their nfts, they are still the 'owner'
@@motakez731 EXACTLYYY LMAO so pointless. anyone can own your nft at anytime so i see this as waste of money but o well
@@pa9030 fine by me *screenshots*
@@ns.sayers8247 having an nft downloaded in your phone is not the same as owning it though. Still a waste of money obviously
Thank you for this great explanation. I can finally explain to my friends and family why people are spending money on this thing in just one word lol

Mrs. Lucy Baldwin is the right person to start trading cryptocurrency with.. she knows her way around the crypto world.. she has been helping me increase my investment every day for over months... She is a genius, have made close to 1btc through her
Wow I'm just shocked some one mentioned expert Mrs Lucy Baldwins name i thought I'm the only one trading with her
She helped me recover what i lost trying to trade my self
Yes I'm also a living testimony of Expert Mrs Lucy Baldwin
Mrs Lucy Baldwin is obviously the best, I invested $7000 and she made profit of $28000 for me just in 21 days

Dude, you made that very easy to understand. I've been reading about NFTs the past few weeks, and you're the only person who was able to explain it best. Thanks for this video! Also, love the Bulbasaur hoodie!

I feel guilty ive always watch your videos but never subscribed, you do work extremely hard and your contents are top notch, definitly gem to this community.
Great stuff and nice video. I watch several youtube videos on how to trade in the stock market but haven't made any headstart because they are either talking some gibberish or sharing their story of how they made it and I do not want to make mistakes by taking risks in my own hands
