I know someone that got fired because they got the flu and missed three days. Work culture in the US is so broken, as people are forced to live paycheck to paycheck, and in constant fear of being fired for the slightest thing, often resulting in them going to work while not only still suffering (resulting in mistakes and low functionality) but also contagious, resulting in the spread of disease not only throughout the workplace but to any clients or customers too.
This is what I was coming down here to say! I’m a teacher and while we get more time off than most Americans, we are limited too. If we take off the first 5 or last 5 days of the school year, we get our pay docked. During that time frame, I had one coworker have to work when her dad passed and another had surgery and have to work the very next day. She couldn’t function and just sat all day on pain pills basically. I’ve had jobs before with zero paid time off- in daycares I worked through stomach bugs, strep throat, flu, etc. I once had a 103 fever (strep) and was told to work but “don’t act sick in front the parents.” So they’d tell me when a parent was coming to pick up their kid so I’d stop leaning/sitting against the wall during that time. Our system is all messed up. And we just pass all these illnesses to others.
Yes cats do have knuckles. They use them for there claws which is why declawing is so bad for them since your amputating the first knuckle on there paw. Don’t declaw your cat people
As someone who was raised to shower at night: - Saves time in the morning to allow a little bit more sleep before going somewhere like school or work - Keeps your bed clean - Good opportunity to change into pajamas and have good sleep hygiene (signal to the body it's time to relax and wind down with a nice warm shower. Or if it's hot out can even cool the body down which also helps sleep in those conditions) - Speaking of which, not smelling like BO makes it easier to sleep - Relaxes muscles before bed (less likely to wake up feeling stiff and sore) - Can still look great in the morning, just wet a comb and comb the hair to get it damp again and style as usual
also as someone with long hair it can take hours to dry. i like to use hot styling tools (straightener) before going out so id have to take extra time and extra heat damage to blow dry my hair in the morning or i can just shower the night before and wake up with dry and ready to style hair!
A lot of vets refuse to do it now because it’s considered animal cruelty. They have little gel things that slide on, some kits come with glue make sure it’s safe for them. Your vet can put them on or a groomer, some vets carry them. They come in a variety of colors including clear. There’s also nail clippers for cats, I have a pair and used them for my ferret and my cat Tiny because he kept biting his back foot.
@tiguaak cats can still knead their paws after being declawed... but I get your intention from your statement. And yes, most vets will refuse after a cat reaches a certain age, but some vets are better than others with their surgical skill as well.
I know this won't be seen by many but just 2 hours ago I had to save my father's life, and in that moment I remembered Doctor Mike's continuous reminders on how to perform correct CPR, my dad is now conscious and is currently in the hospital, being given an x-ray to see if I broke any ribs. I'm very thankful for watching this channel and learning tips Mike provides on saving lives, thank you.
I would have to wash my sheets and pajamas every day if i didn't shower at night. No way I'm spending a day sweating and getting oily just to climb into new clothes and sheets and make them immediately nasty lol. I literally shower and go straight to bed so I'm as clean as possible. I wont even nap in bed with my "outside clothes"
I went to the ER after a bee sting (I'm allergic). I needed meds through an IV. The meds made me a little crazy, so they taped a plastic board under my elbow so I wouldn't bend it and pull out the IV. When the bill came, the hospital had charged for each individual piece of tape that had been used to tape the board to my arm. Couldn't just do a flat fee for consumables--they had to itemize each freaking piece of tape.
That last meme reminds me of a story my dad told us as kids. His fathers favorite expression was, "He would be late for his own funeral." On the way to his fathers funeral the hearse had to stop and wait for a train right as the church bell started ringing. All of the family in the car following the hearse busted out laughing.
Mike as a shower at night person let me explain. The feeling of being clean in the bed is great, plus u don't have to change the bed sheets as often and and you have more time in the morning to get ready for work or wherever else one might be going.
Mike going on a rant about showering at night and then proceeding to explain why is it better to shower at night without even taking a breath is a golden Mike moment
@@Big_Gcoem Based on the picture, it's implied that the father is in the casket. The wording of "second crash this week" suggests that the father died in a car crash less than a week prior, making the casket falling out of the back of the hearse his second car crash this week.
My ex's doctor told him to shower at night during allergy season because his seasonal allergies were REALLY bad. Apparently washing the hair at night removes allergens that have accumulated during the day so his sneezing and breathing problems would improve, giving him a better sleep. It really did help
Night showerer here - Not showering in the morning means I can wake up later, which means I get an extra hour sleep, which has more benefits for my overall health, and I'm carrying less dead skin/sweat particles into my bed which makes it a healthier environment to sleep in. Who's the gross one now, Mike!
@@red_weed i take a shower for 30-45 mins. I love being in the shower for an 1hr tbh. I just love water and also i wash every inch of my body including my legs. I never have dry skin either cause i use body oil afterwards. Overall, water just feels good.

There is a thing in Korea called “manner legs.” It’s when a very tall actor stands low by spreading his legs wider so his shorter female costar doesn’t have to tilt her head way up or stand on an apple box while filming. I heard about it with some behind the scene photos of a Korean drama I was watching.
As a child I got a canker sore every 2-3 weeks. I had no idea why. Even when I was perfectly healthy. I went to many doctors and no one had an idea. Then, after a complete blood analysis, they noticed my folic acid is very low and that could cause oral infections. They gave me folic acid supplements and now I had barely any canker sore in 10 years.
and lysine supplements with vitamin c can help prevent cold sores on the lips. I get them quite often but whenever I feel it coming (starts itching), i take a lysine pill designed for bodybuilder dosage and the sore never happens. If I forget or cannot take the pill right when the first itching starts, it will come out but the pill helps to reduce the time it stays on my lips. I didn't really find a global research regarding this but there is a research team in Hungary who did local trials with lysine with promising results.

@Goldendroid idk about others, but I do both, as is common practice here. You shower at night to get clean if the germs from the day, and then in the morning to be fresh and ready.
Honestly couldn’t imagine having a holiday system like the US. I get 4 weeks paid holiday and if there’s not already 2 people off then I can take the time off with as little as two weeks warning as long as I have enough paid holiday hours left (and the rota has not already been done). Was a massive help when settling into university, bearing in mind that it was true even though I work in fast food. Did wonders for my mental and financial health while I was a student and will probably continue when I move into my next job. Especially now that inflation is so high that milk has nearly doubled since covid and general inflation is 8.3%. It’s great to have the security that paid rest gives you. Also, while sick leave was unpaid at my company, you weren’t given points unless it became a consistent problem, in which case you got two warnings before being fired, but there was still some leniency if you then had a genuine health problem and could provide a doctor’s note. Plus, if you have an appointment with a doctor, the manager could change your work schedule to fit it in. Oh, and no worries that you’d be fired over poor health because that’s illegal (unless they have reasonable cause to prove that your sick days are actually lazy days), and benefits exist if you can’t support yourself because of medical reasons. You could also take unpaid holiday if you were doing something like transferring to another branch and that involved moving house/settling into uni accommodation etc. However, this is generally not very common.
@@himaririku5289 Can't say, but I live in the Netherlands, and here most jobs will get you 5-7 weeks of paid leave per year, and by law, all sick leave is paid. I think that's roughly where all EU countries are; some will have a little more paid leave and some a little less, but it's all a lot more than most jobs in the US would get you.
A lot of people are forced to work, but at the same time there's an undeniable culture in America where people prioritize their careers above all else and become workaholics. Not everyone is like this of course, but it's the overall societal expectation.

That's because every single incident of side-effects from the studies and trials has to be included. I once managed to get the doctor-facing stat sheet for one of my medications, and it had the full breakdown of the study results, the likelihood of occurrence of the side-effects, etc. It was really cool to see. Also, if someone is participating in a medical study and they die from something completely unrelated (like a car accident) it still gets counted as a side-effect of the medication. They err on the side of caution with pharmaceuticals.
Saw an anti anxiety pill commercial (I forget which one) and the side effects are all something I’d be anxious to have if I were around people. It was like: diarrhea, bad breath, excessive sweating, fainting, gas…etc. The idea seemed to be the pill would make you not care about it I guess.
That poor lady. Those patients didn't have enough money to pay full price so she gave them an alternative solution which is to let them pay a more reasonable price but she gets fired for doing so? Tell me. Was this in America cuz it would make sense
Doctor Mike saved my life. I had heat exhaustion yesterday and high blood pressure and all I could think about is stay conscious so I could tell what was wrong with me because he said it's important. Thank you Doctor Mike.
I got influenza at christmas. One of the nights I started throwing up - Luckily as I was sick I was prepared with a bucket and sat with the bucket. Howeeeever - I started throwing up for so long I actually couldn't breathe (I can't hold my breath for very long, like literal seconds), so I knew I had to go get help. It was dark (the switch is on the opposite end) but I knew where the door was, so still vomitting with a bucket I walk to the door to find someone, because I am worried I would pass out and choke on the vomit or hurt myself (though I felt bad about having to wake someone up). I get to the door and actually struggle finding the doorknob and I start panicking because I start feeling tense cause I can't breathe. It takes me a few seconds in my panic to find the doorknob but I get it open and I get out - Then came the question: Do I? Tumble down the tiny, very narrow hallway with a table in the middle and uneven floors in the dark to get to my mom who is a caretaker of the elderly and therefor has experience with health or Do I? Try still vomitting to tumble down a set of stairs in the dark in hopes that my younger sister (who is a nightowl like me) is still up and in the kitchen where I last saw her? Lucky for me, I didn't have to decide in my non-breahting, still vomitting panic because my sister came to check on me because she thought she heard me crying, so she came to the stairs and asked if I was okay - I signaled her to stay down the stairs and lucky for me I stopped vomitting just enough to go down the stairs and into the kitchen. At this point I just started vomitting in bursts and I managed to sneak a little "Mom" out as in "go get mom" and she ran up to get my mom. For like an hour or something I threw up in bursts and struggled to breathe while my sister and mom tried to help me and my body calm down enough to breathe. It was very intense and I am glad I sort of somehow managed to stay calm enough to get out of the room but I also got scared of getting Influenza again, so if I ever get it I hope to go home to someone and be sick so it wont happen again, because that "breathless-vomitting" happened again like 2-3 days later out of the blue after dinner. (this time in the living room with my parents though)

Probably as morning showers are commonly listed with health benefits, but you don't really have to shower for that and just a simple Cold water rinse will have the same effect. Best would be a shower at night, no rush or panic chance and have time to clean properly, then quick cold rinse in the morning for those benefits and clear any over night stuff.
Right? Definitely showering at night, especially when working blue collar jobs. Get all the dust, dirt, germs, shmeckle and sweat off for a comfortable sleep
I don't want to roll around in my own filth all night. I'm not going to get significantly dirtier while I sleep, so I might as well get clean, stay clean, and then start the day CLEAN
Showering at night is the only way. It's disgusting that people want to take everything they interacted with all day to bed with them. Showering at night means you have to wash your bed linens less often.
Showering at night and entering in the bed with freshly cleaned sheets is the best feeling in the world. Also, showering at night helps you sleep: Getting colder gets you sleepy. Being wet makes you get colder easily. Just make sure that you do not get actually cold, just the feeling of decreasing temperature.

There's an almost inverted nocebo effect in tattooing. I used to work in a shop before COVID and the people that built up anxiety often did better. The reason being that as soon as they felt the pain, they realized it couldn't compare to what they imagined. Similarity, first timers that confidently think they can handle a tattoo often end up being the ones that get tunnel vision. Regardless of the person's pain tolerance, it can be a shock when they think there won't be any pain. Then it seems like they keep wondering how much worse it will get as you progress. It's like they work themselves into a panic attack.
Extremely interesting observations!!! I think that who ever makes studies about pain should come and talk to tattoo artists about it! Because people are already there voluntarily subjecting themselves to pain experiences! I think that these type of studies could be on-going thing. We have not learned all about human psyche-pain-mental illness connection etc. Because sometimes people experience their mental illness as physical pain...and we have not understood how to help people's mental illnesses fully yet. So much to discover! On a side note: I had a medical test today in which they check how nerves are responding to stimulation. In fact, they give electric impulces which travel through your nerves and then they can calculate how well the nerve responces. I did not read anything else about it before hand, but by reading throught the leaflet (which they sent) about it it said "mild discomfort" I kind of figured out that it hurts somewhat. Because doctors are never honest about pain levels relating to their medical tests. Because of nocebo-effect. But then I thought that I will not build any expectations about it as I am sure that they would not hurt people that much. Then I went and I was still very surprised about the pain level on my hand! It hurt quite a lot!!! And even that I was clearly in distress and surprised about the pain....the person doing it was so used to people jumping around that she ignored all my un-intentional noices. And then when she moved to my leg...well, then I had a new worry, because then I did not feel as much 😅🤣🤣🤣 Some nerves responded painfully again and others were just little tingles. But it is very interesting to read about your observations on pain on this very day!!! And compare memos on that and on my own experience! I am sure that there is much more to discover on this!!!
Also, that's what I would do in certain situations because of my anxiety. I would imagine the worst case scenario so what actually happens wasn't that bad. I think I didn't do well on a final? Worst case scenario, I did so poorly that I have to repay and retake the class or I never graduate and wasted so money

That kind of pain can never be as much as getting glass cut out of the bottom of your foot. Had to have it done a couple years ago, and the numbing drug they used kept wearing off after a couple minutes, so they had to keep injecting it around where they were cutting. I now know what it feels like to have my foot cut open, and I had to endure the last bit of the doctor digging in the wound with tweezers to grab the chunk of glass because I was tired of getting stuck with the needle to numb the area.

10:00 sorry Dr. Mike but showering at night helps me sleep because the shower makes me sleepy. XD If I do it in the morning I'll just want to go back to sleep.
As a healthcare worker myself, I will absolutely shower at night. I can sleep in more, my hair isn’t as crazy as it is right after washing it and most importantly, and I can’t stretch this enough, I feel a physical NEED to wash every single molecule I took home from the hospital, OFF of me before I go into bed. Also I don’t wanna wake up everyone :)
Okay, okay, okay! Shower at night is normal. Not only does it feel nice to take a hot shower then crawl into bed. But a nice warm shower right before bed feels really good on your lungs 🫁
Reasons to shower at night: 1) You've gotten dirty during the day (this was my first reason since I always had sports practice after school) 2) Not a morning person (can sleep in longer, take your time showering at night) 3) Your pajamas and bedding stay clean longer. 4) If you use anti-perspirant, you're supposed to put it on at night Also I personally don't wash my hair everyday but if I did I definitely would not choose to spend 2 hours before work drying and styling it in the morning. Way better to air dry overnight and style the next day.
To be clear, yes, cats do have knuckles, and this ties into the reason why you should never declaw them- because it's not just the claws being pulled out, it's also their first knuckle being cut off as well. Jackson Galaxy talks endlessly about this in his videos, and many developed nations outlaw the practice altogether.
A lot of vets don't do the procedure even if it's not illegal. It's inhumane and absolutely horrible. If you can't handle training your animals or dealing with their natural instincts, don't get an animal!
I shower at night mainly because it washes off any pollen I have on my body after leaving my house. I am allergic to pollen so it makes me less likely to be sick afterwards. Also, it makes more sense to shower at night because people usually go out during the day and when you get back home, you should probably clean yourself from any germs you may have encountered while outside because you don't want that on your bed or pyjamas
Not sure if this has already been mentioned in the comments, but another plus to showering at night is for people who are outside a lot in areas with a lot of pollen. It washes off all that excess stuff so you can go to sleep and wake up without having an allergy attack. 🙂
@@smilesad4224that's a very pervasive myth which has been debunked quite often by now. First of all, most people aren't allergic to the pollen bees mostly collect for their honey. Secondly, the process of making the honey actually changes the pollen protein, plus your body's digestive system breaks it down even more, meaning basically no intact pollen makes it into your system to have any sort of effect on your allergies. And lastly, exposure therapy doesn't really work with allergies, so even if you were to ingest enough pollen for it to have effect on your body, it would be far more likely to worsen your allergies, not cure them. That's just a summary, but googling 'does honey help with allergies' and then checking out the legit medical sources will provide more in-depth info.
The way Dr. Mike rumble on in the background while I do my work is really calming in a sense. Despite the sudden loudness every now and then, I still like the way that even when you are not watching, you can still hear his passion in whatever it is he is talking about. Keep it up, Doc!
I can't imagine showering in the morning in July, then going to bed covered in dry sweat. Showering before bed makes much more sense. It's not like you get dirty while you're asleep anyways.
hot shower at night causes your body to start shedding heat as fast as possible, which results in falling asleep faster. Then a cold shower in the morning causes your body to crank up the heat making you very alert, and feel incredible due to a lasting increase in dopamine. After a couple of weeks you will CRAVE that cold shower.
same! Especially in winter. Getting up earlier just to shower and then going out in the cold while possibly still damp? Miss me with that, I get it out of the way in the evening and can snuggle up all clean in my bed sheets.
"Do cats have knuckles?" Yes. fun fact, it's one of the reasons declawing is frowned upon, as it's not removing claws, it's removing the entire bone down to the first knuckle, affecting their walk and harming their paw anatomy.
It makes total sense to shower before bed. 1. Not everyone has enough time to shower and dry in the morning. 2. When you sleep, you sweat much less, so you don't get as sweaty in the morning as you think. 3. Showering before bed is really relaxing, and helps you sleep.
The first one simply doesn't add up. You can just simply get up earlier. Showering doesn't take more time in the morning, so you can push that window to before or after sleep without significant difference in time spent on it.
@@kumaahito3927 Most people find it easier to sleep at certain times. Mostly because your biological clock gets fine-tuned by sunlight, so going to sleep when it is dark and waking up when it is light just make sense to your brain.

Dr Mike, thank you for talking to us short people with respect. As a little person (4ft 6) due to the rare genetic disorder Turner’s syndrome, I have had people treat me like a child, treat me like a freak, I mean sometimes people have rested their elbows on my head, wanted to take pictures with me because the height difference is funny to them and hold things over my head so I couldn’t reach them, or put things up high out of my reach. It’s nice when people actually treat you with dignity and respect, instead of making you self conscious of your height, or making things more difficult for us. Something as simple as bringing the microphone down to our level instead of making us have to reach for it makes things so much easier, so thank you for thinking of that.
My older sister (25 years old) is 4ft 8 and yeah it's awesome when people really take into account the height difference and try their best to accommodate the shorter person in a conversation.

dr mike: people get canker sores after being sick while their immune system is weak me having pneumonia and making plans for when i feel better: guess i'll die
6:58 Correction: Most people do like having holidays - even in the United States - but since the United States doesn't have work rights which include paid holidays, unpaid holidays, parental leave, minimum wage for all jobs and taking on 50% of the insurance costs, many people don't experience that (or get fired immediately if they ask for it). That's why in the United States, they call all of this "benefits" and use it as marketing to get employees, whereas in the rest of the world, it's fundamental labour laws ensuring these rights to everybody no matter how many hours they work or which position they have.

6:09: I that every single day from when I was about 16 up to 32. At 32 at started taking B12 supplements, and then in switch to raw meat, and then I switched to just not eat microwaved food. I still get them if I didn't eat enough meat the day before. Very occasionally I get time for no discernible reason, but until it gets fully developed, taking B12 will usually stop it from developing and then it quickly disappears. My mother also had them, and B12 worked for her as well.
I remember my mom told me about the shower at night to not bring the dirt of the outside and keep your bed clean. Also, I would never sacrifice 20 minutes in my bed in the morning for a shower 😂
Nah, the best feeling ever is going to bed after showering wearing your freshly laundered pjs and slipping into your freshly laundered bedsheets. MMMMMM yes.
I’m surprised Dr Mike doesn’t know that showering at night can help with allergies because then you’re not breathing in the allergens that got caught in your hair during the day, all night long.
Showering 🚿 9:40 SOP is totally a morning shower. After pulling wire in someone's attic (I sometimes install tech [7.1 surround sound, surveillance cameras, Ethernet]) or doing maintenance/repairs/upgrades on an automobile, I will definitely take a shower (with Dawn dish soap) before bed. It might be a fight between how gross/greasy/itchy vs. how hungry I am whether I shower before supper or before bed.
I shower at night usually because I have long thick hair and I let it air dry because using a blow dryer even with a diffuser turns it into a frizzy mess. Wrap my hair in a turbo twisty and let it try overnight while I'm sleeping so it's perfect for the morning. Also like what Dr Mike said about showers cooling you down, I sleep hot all the time so I shower really does help me be more comfortable for sleeping.
Doctor Mike. You are curing my boredom while waiting in the doctors office. So much fun watching medical memes while I’m waiting on my Flu test results. Thanks for all the great content
Night showerer too - I have a weird thing where I overheat at night instead of cooling down, so showering helps me get to sleep and stay asleep faster. Plus if I bathe instead of shower, I can use products that are meant to soak in my hair for longer and things that have sleep inducing properties to combat my insomnia.
Hi Doctor Mike, I love your videos! I recently went to the emergency room because I felt weak and pressure in my chest and back pain. It turns out there is a giant cystic mass next to my heart. I had to stay in the hospital for two days. I looked at my bill; the stay cost 11k plus all the medical procedures came out to 40k. I have insurance, so It covers most. They drained the thing, and it relieved the pressure. However, 2 weeks later, it re-filled. I went back to the emergency room; I waited 8 hours. They then put me in an ambulance for surgery. When I got there, I waited another 8 hours, then they said it won't happen until the 29th. They just wanted to see me. WTF. I don't understand our health system at all; why did they want to see me charge me million dollars to tell me they would see me in 2 weeks? They have it all in their system. Sorry needed to rant. It's ridiculous, and I'm putting up with it until then. I hope something changes soon
10:03 i shower at night for sleeping purposes. Not only does the switch from warmth to cold make sleeping easier, but its best to get those thoughts out as shower thoughts than laying awake at night thinking of all you could have thought of in the shower. Plus, I dont have to wake up earlier to shower. I say shower, I mean bathe. I like to use epsom salt to calm my sore muscles and you cant exactly do that in the shower. I also have karate at night and need to get the sweat off pretty quickly. As long as your ved sheets are washed regularly, they shouldnt be causing problems.
For real, taking a shower, then climbing into bed with freshly laundered bedsheets is one of the best feeling ever.
It really is 😀

It’s not that Americans like to work, it’s that the American employers don’t like to give paid time off. Sometimes not even unpaid time off!
That's exactly why EU has work laws to enforce paid vacations.
Yes cats do have knuckles. They use them for there claws which is why declawing is so bad for them since your amputating the first knuckle on there paw. Don’t declaw your cat people
Yeah. I was like "uh they dont want to"
As someone who was raised to shower at night:
- Saves time in the morning to allow a little bit more sleep before going somewhere like school or work
- Keeps your bed clean
- Good opportunity to change into pajamas and have good sleep hygiene (signal to the body it's time to relax and wind down with a nice warm shower. Or if it's hot out can even cool the body down which also helps sleep in those conditions)
- Speaking of which, not smelling like BO makes it easier to sleep
- Relaxes muscles before bed (less likely to wake up feeling stiff and sore)
- Can still look great in the morning, just wet a comb and comb the hair to get it damp again and style as usual
EXACTLY! I always have a great night sleep when I shower at night and it saves time in the morning!! It’s much more efficient (for me at least)
Where I live in the tropics, the way I sweat at night, I won't be able to function unless i shower both in the morning and at night.
also as someone with long hair it can take hours to dry.
i like to use hot styling tools (straightener) before going out so id have to take extra time and extra heat damage to blow dry my hair in the morning or i can just shower the night before and wake up with dry and ready to style hair!
I 100% agree with you. Also, if you have a sexual partner, being clean for nighttime activities is a must.

0:26 Cats do indeed have knuckles and knuckle bones. They flex them when making biscuits
And the knuckles are surgically removed when "declawed". Horrible.
@@dianakorz0730removing a cats ability to make biscuits should be a felony, charged to both the vet and the owner

Mike getting so aggressive about morning vs night showers is honestly so funny to me😂

Cats have knuckles, that is why declawing is extra cruel as they don't 'just' remove the nail base, they remove the digit to the first knuckle.
Yup. And it changes the way they walk, which makes it painful to walk and causes early arthritis.
It's like walking in high heels after getting one's toes cut off.
$12 per piece of tape, and $100 wear and tear fee on the tape roll!

Mike as a shower at night person let me explain. The feeling of being clean in the bed is great, plus u don't have to change the bed sheets as often and and you have more time in the morning to get ready for work or wherever else one might be going.
Also it’s great if somebody is still sleeping and you don’t want to wake them up.
Hot showers would also make you more relaxed
I honestly like the way my hair dries in bed as well.
Plus you clean all the grime from a long day's work off.
i have known a few salesguys. they shower in the morning so they can look and smell perfect for clients.

I use make-up remover to clean my face, even though I don't wear make-up. Also really helps

That's because every single incident of side-effects from the studies and trials has to be included. I once managed to get the doctor-facing stat sheet for one of my medications, and it had the full breakdown of the study results, the likelihood of occurrence of the side-effects, etc. It was really cool to see. It takes me a few seconds in my panic to find the doorknob but I get it open and I get out - Then came the question:
Do I?
Tumble down the tiny, very narrow hallway with a table in the middle and uneven floors in the dark to get to my mom who is a caretaker of the elderly and therefor has experience with health
or
Do I?

I think I heard that from a few people who got tattoos too. They freaked out so much they couldn't really feel the pain
Also, that's what I would do in certain situations because of my anxiety. I would imagine the worst case scenario so what actually happens wasn't that bad. I think I didn't do well on a final? Worst case scenario, I did so poorly that I have to repay and retake the class or I never graduate and wasted so money
I was so terrified to get my first tattoo, as I am afraid of needles. But I really wanted to have tattoos so I did it anyways. After the first small one it have been a walk in the park. During my upper back tattoo I fell asleep :D

As a dog groomer, I have to shower in the evening. No way am I sleeping in my bed with dog fur all over me 😂😂
My work is physical so there's no way I'm going to bed all grimy and sweaty. Bed is a sacred and a clean place for me. It also saves up time in the morning since you wake up clean.
I work at a dog daycare. I smell like dogs and their pee at the end of the day. There's no way I'll just lay down with sweaty hair infused with dog smells....
I used to work for a vet and I’d literally leave a bathrobe on the washing machine (the laundry room was on the way into the house) and put my scrubs right into the washer, I smelled so bad after work.
Even as a doctor you’d think he’d want to wash off the germs from his day at work.
I work at a dog daycare so I relate! Plus I don't have time in the mornings! I was raised to never shower in the morning to not run late.
Mike talks about how he showers in the morning
Me: Wait, so he doesn't shower after coming home from the hospital?
Fun fact:
Bear in Russian means Медведь (sounds like Medved'), or Миша (sounds like Meesha) - short/cute version
Analog of the name Michael in Russian is Михаил (sounds like Mikhail), which short/cute version is also Миша
So, in a way, dr. Mike and Bear are namesakes =)
1980's Moscow olympics had Misha (or Mishka) bear as mascot.
Russian nicknames are the cutest.
this is true for most slavic languages
So "Masha and the Bear" is really "Masha and Meesha"?
@@HariSeldon913Technically yes!
Reasons to shower at night:
1) You've gotten dirty during the day (this was my first reason since I always had sports practice after school)
2) Not a morning person (can sleep in longer, take your time showering at night)
3) Your pajamas and bedding stay clean longer.
4) If you use anti-perspirant, you're supposed to put it on at night
Also I personally don't wash my hair everyday but if I did I definitely would not choose to spend 2 hours before work drying and styling it in the morning. Way better to air dry overnight and style the next day.
i totally agree (I cannot say anything about point 4 but I agree with the rest)
To be clear, yes, cats do have knuckles, and this ties into the reason why you should never declaw them- because it's not just the claws being pulled out, it's also their first knuckle being cut off as well. Jackson Galaxy talks endlessly about this in his videos, and many developed nations outlaw the practice altogether.
I just saw a post on Pinterest the other day about declawing cats…people harming their cats because their couch is more important 🤷♀️
Most Associations won't let you entered declawed cats into Cat Shows.
A lot of vets don't do the procedure even if it's not illegal. It's inhumane and absolutely horrible. If you can't handle training your animals or dealing with their natural instincts, don't get an animal!
exactly!! thank You for speaking up ♥️💪
Yep, if you declaw a cat you're cutting off its fingertips.
If you have windows open you might also find it helpful to drape a towel over your pillows until you're ready to sleep.
6:10
I had this but it took months to heal because i kept accidentally biting my lip
Not sure if this has already been mentioned in the comments, but another plus to showering at night is for people who are outside a lot in areas with a lot of pollen. It washes off all that excess stuff so you can go to sleep and wake up without having an allergy attack. 🙂
or have a spoonful of honey every night witch is made heavily with pollen and readies you making you immune in the process.
You do if you sweat at night
I sweat a lot at night so the shower is basically negated by the time I wake up.
3:41 it’s uncensored
Don’t yell at me doctor Mike, but I don’t like showering in the morning, but at night, it feels so cozy and it makes me feel more relaxed 😌
same! Especially in winter. Getting up earlier just to shower and then going out in the cold while possibly still damp? Miss me with that, I get it out of the way in the evening and can snuggle up all clean in my bed sheets.
Same. And i like to sleep long 🙂
"Do cats have knuckles?"
Yes. fun fact, it's one of the reasons declawing is frowned upon, as it's not removing claws, it's removing the entire bone down to the first knuckle, affecting their walk and harming their paw anatomy.
Aswell as causing pain for the rest of their lives
Declawing is so horrible, people need to learn to trim their cats nails and get them suitable things to scratch
I sweat a lot at night. The other two points are valid though.
