Sorry to bother you Col bought a 390 of a mate need's a new prime valve should i buy a cheap £15 ebay or just get the Graco one thanks love your videos .
Hello Pete only just seen your message so I do hope you haven't wasted your money buying the £15 one. You need to buy the authentic part from graco , its not cheap but it will last and you won't have any problems with it . Unlike the ebay £15 , it might even work for a little while but I guarantee to you , you will end up having problems with it .
Hello mate. Quick bit of advice if you can please. I'm starting out tomorrow for the first time ever. Was supposed to be starting 1 bed flats on price, but now I've been lumped with mist coating 7 flats until they're ready. Got the 390, but biggest tip I have is an ltx 517 and I'm using Dulux fast Matt. would you piss fast Matt to 30% for a mist coat? Not sure if it's on to plaster or tape and joint walls. Will the ltx hold up alright on 7 flats getting hammered? Didn't really wanna hammer the machine at a high pressure all day but, that's where I'm at. Bit of a long one, but any heads up will do mate. Cheers.
Hello mate your machine will handle the pressure no problems, OK so with fast flo I would do 20% for mistcoating, ltx tips are absolutely fine for mistcoating there the tips I use all the time, for your machine to mistcoat I would get 619 but a 517 would fine. Your pressure should be around 2200 - 2400 no higher than that. You should make some decent money mistcoating after a couple of flats you'll get the hang of it . Good luck tomorrow mate let me know how you get on 👍
@@camdecorations9779 spot on mate, just what I wanted to hear. I got a box of that q1 automotive tape I asked you about the other day too, decent tape that. Tomorrow it's on 💪👊
@@camdecorations9779 Colin, more advice needed mate 🤣. Had a nightmare with the Graco, brand new, 3 days old and from day one it won't hold pressure at certain times. If I leave it for a little while and go back to it, after a few seconds/minutes it dies down. Also, when creeping up the pressure to find the right spot, it sometimes hits 1500 and stays there with the pump squealing away. Another thing I'd does is not go over 2500....not that I wanted it to, but fully cranked, it stays on 2500. Because of this, I ditched the ltx 517 and went to an LP 517 at 1500 pressure and it lost it again. Re-priming normally kick starts it back to pressure again for spray, but it ain't right. Prime tube shakes like fuck when priming too.....like the pump is struggling. Any experience with this kind of madness before I call up the supplier? Cheers.
Another great video thanks for sharing. Could you give me some advice I want to downgrade from 695 to either a 290 or a 395 Graco would you know if there’s much between them or if ones much better than the other?
395 is a better machine , it has a larger motor so you can use bigger spray tips , if your using it day in day out you will need a sprayer with a a good motor , if your just spraying from time to time the 290 will be fine
Where using crown because that's what the builder wants , it actually nice paint to spray with , but if I had a choice i would use tikkurila anti reflex 2
i'm new to spraying .why do i get gritty walls on plasterboard walls? am i suppose to clean the walls from dust prior to spraying...i don't know what i'm doing wrong Please advise. Many thanks
Rub your walls down with 150 grade sandpaper and that will do the trick. If you feel the walls are rough In small patches here and there all that is is you've missed the rubbing down in those sections. 👍🏾
Window cills get an oilbase undercoat after the walls are sprayed and on the skirts he's hitting the very top edge of the , not the face of the skirtings.
Hey mate on another note ,can please help me with something , ive been flat out over last two weeks spraying commercial building block walls and concrete ceilings ,I have a Tritech T5 , was using it this morning all good come midday kept blocking on me ,i flushed all out with water then paint through it again , i washed manifold filter and gun filter out strained paint ,put a new tip on tip guard and still blocked from spraying soon as started to spray , take tip and trip guard off paint comes through gun ,once put on extension pole with guard or even just guard and trip block all tights up ,hole afternoon gone wasted messing around with machine at the end i had wash out and put it back in van any idea Colin 🤦♂️🤷♀️😢
Good Evening Colin .well kind of. The commercial building im spraying has no Windows yet and wind etc blows right through it ???why think something do with it ?? . Spraying crown cover matt . I recently changed my manifold filter from 50 mesh to 20 mesh .using a 519 graco tip think that could be it mate ?
Hey, just a quick question, I've just noticed my sprayer has started to drip from the pump, do you know what could be causing this?...only had it since last April
Always appreciate the vids Col, but the way this guy is spraying... He's 12 inches to the wall at the centre of his swing and a good 20-24" out at the top/bottom in various places. Not good practice. Edit: The masking on those windows... where is it? There's going to be overspray all over the glass and plastic even with the protective film on it.
regarding the windows you spray at an angle not square on , so if your spraying the edge of the left reveal your tilt your gun to the right so the the overspray shots away from the window to the left . The reveals have already been sprayed with a spray shield . I'm going to do a video showing how I spray reveals with a spray shield without getting overspray on the windows .
@@camdecorations9779 that be great if you can do that, It blows my mind how much you are spray on site . I started doing frames staircase all banding but roll after and I got to learn how you do the top above skirting. Fingers cross i make a few more pounds on price
Another good vid Collin, please keep the coming as i am interested doing some spraying and interested in watching how you do it
Thanks Craig 👍

Hi Colin, what paint do you spray finish ceilings with on site as not to get lap marks? Thanks

Is the graciosos 695 a better spray
What do you do when it comes to touching up walls on snagging mate, any chance up vid?
Just touch up the walls with a roller , make sure you roll out the paint properly . Touches in as much as you touch up rolled was

Your seals have gone you need a new pump, my pump went with in 9 months it just happens sometimes
@@camdecorations9779 thanks mate...I do use it alot...
2300psi? Take it he isn't using a low pressure tip there then?
No we use the blue ltx tips , it leaves a slight texture on the wall which is better for touching up with rollers
I see you still don't own a roller or brush ? Lol
@@camdecorations9779 what size in the ltx would u recommend we are having them on site moaning that spray is to smooth a finish
