This is exactly how thorough I am on my prep 👌🏻 even if I’ve done jobs in council houses. Nice to see Prep done properly unlike many house bashers on site. Great work mate 👍🏻
Cam: I always carry a roll of thin white 10 or 15L bin bags and simply tape one over the entire light fitting after I've masked the rose. The light still does it's job and no overspray whatsoever. Also, I caulk BUT wash off using an old sash brush and a scuttle with water - saves the old finger tips when there's a ton of such to do.
Colin another great video. Your a grafter sir. I ve owned the 360 sander for years love it. Although I ve got about 6 different power sanders I do fancy a cordless for convenience. What’s your thoughts on the De Walt ?
I've been toying with the idea of buying one myself , looks like an excellent piece of equipment but if you buy the wall sander you would have to buy the hoover and that's a lot of money just for rubbing down walls on site . So I'm still not to sure on it
I seen the shadow of a GoPro on your loaf of bread. Been after one for spraying vids for my FB page. What one are you wearing and how much did it set u back Cam.
Good Evening Colin .haven't been youtube in while. Looks like missed a couple of your vids .tritech prime valve kit with pin .would know best place buy one .i cant find anything
A house that size which is a 5 bed townhouse two ensuits with the bathroom and kitchen your looking at 1 roll of paper. So £3.00 for the paper 1" tape is £1.25 . i get the masking tape for the sockets and switches for free but if I was to buy it its £3 a roll , so your looking at £7.25 to mask a house that large
@@camdecorations9779 fuck me that's cheaper than I was thinking, how long does a 5 bed take you with the sprayer? Still rolling out the walls for flashing?
I use easyfill on the walls and woodwork. Been using it for two years now , not a problem at all on the woodwork and as you guess nice and easy to rub down.
Most customers don't quite realise just how much prep work goes into decorating do they! But a good finish is all in the prep.
Most do not! Especially when it comes to masking.

You do great work. Nice clean prep.
hey @cam - do you prefer to 1) prime before the trim goes on or 2) trim on then prime everything together
Prime everything once all the trim is in place 👍

What pole sander is that! The bloody normal square ones have a habit of flipping and sometimes you can gouge the wall!
Its called a radius 360 heres the link for it www.belmoretools.co.uk/acatalog/Radius_360_Sanding_Tool.html
Quick Q do you water down your paint if so how much
It does depend on what waterbase material I'm using but in general for emulsions I water it down by 20%
Never tried using continental filling blades for the pins on the woodwork?
I find em a lot easier than traditional filling knives
Keep em coming Colin
Thanks dave
That's some thorough prep mate 👍 I see the ensuite is masked up, how much you reckon it costs you to mask up your plots for spraying out?

That is a lot of filling for new plaster 😂
Honestly the damage that is done to the walls is ridiculous plus the plastering not the greatest either
Jesus those joiners don't like scribing!
