I just want to say that your videos have so much value not only to Engineers but artist. You talked a bit about leveling, you’d be surprised how many engineers will grab a EQ and compressor and don’t even bother with a leveling
I appreciate this Mike! Definitely feel you on that. What's funny is I probably WOULDN'T be surprised at this point because often when teaching students directly, they overlook the foundational aspect of setting levels and instead reach for additional tools much earlier in the process, just like you mentioned. I of course made this mistake too early on once-upon-a-time, which is why I share this lesson in this video but hopefully more people realize this and are empowered to make better choices in the right sequence moving forward within their own sessions. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend!
Thanks for this! I recently discovered how to side chain Pro-q3 in reaper and enjoying the space it can provide for my vocal :) looking forward to trying some of the other tips.
I appreciate this note - It’s something I’ve been considering for awhile now! I’m trying to navigate the best way to do it without the headache of copyright claims as many distributors automatically do that and require a lot of back and forth / time to remedy after the fact
As always, links to other videos, plugins, songs and other items mentioned can be found in the description above 📌 thanks for watching!

Nice! That method can certainly work wonders. Excited for you to try the other tips!
You should consider taking outside tracks from your community, evaluate and when bennificial, make adjustments.
