Holy shit!11 T-ride!1 as a metal head from the 80s and 90s T-ride was one of my all time favorite albums. Their songs were catchy with a groove. The best combo in music. Cheers Eric you are a great man!
I didn't realise Vari Mu stands for Vari Musical compressor ;) For satuation, I love FabFilter Saturn too. Also BlackBox HG-2, Vertigo VSM-3, Tone Projects Kelvin, Newfangled Saturate & Invigorate, Audiority Pyros and Softube M.A.S. Overstayer. Must check out those two Waves Abbey Road plugins in the sales (Saturator & Vinyl). Really love your Unfairchild too, picked it up last month and it quickly became a goto.
I would like to see you asking about converters in future interviews! I kinda feel like converters are starting to all sound the same. Is there any advantages to vintage converters?
I admit that I’m disappointed. I understand and respect his decision. But, for me, I doubt I’ll get over there much, as I tend to browse UA-cam. From my selfish perspective, I really regret his making this change. Are there others that feel the same way or am I just being selfish, lazy and stuck in a rut?
@@nelsonstarr5356Naw it’s understandable but kind of elitist. He could easily just ask for donations and keep doing free material. A lot of people make more with memberships and donations than trying to guide people to a separate site. But I get it.
Expectation bias. Hmm. When you know a song, you tend to hear the parts you like, via anticipation. Detaching yourself, as a mixer from that, is not easy. Call it, "hearing empirically". That's why laying something down for a few hours/days can be a big benefit so you can be surprised again.
I don’t agree with Eric switching to website because a lot of us watch on tv and UA-cam app is on tv. I got no idea how to get on a website on my tv if it can even do that
@ I have a brand new smart tv thank you. It’s a bitch using internet browsers on any tv as far as I’m concerned. Glad you know what year it is though, I was concerned
I see Eric, I watch and I like. I’m a simple man
Same
Same! haha

So cool that Eric worked with the most important rock band of the 21st century and also Queens of the Stone Age
Argartha….super host. What a pro ❤
I bought his UnFairchild plugin and oh my, it is so good!
I'll always remember him for his work with T-Ride as well.
He also worked with 3EB and TBS which in my opinion was his best work. He filled every frequency.
Third Eye Blind stuff sounds so great, love those early albums.
Wracking my brain to figure out TBS... know I'm gonna kick myself when I hear it 😅

That's a great suggestion! I'll definitely consider diving deeper into the topic of converters in upcoming interviews. Thanks Jonathan!

Love Eric's channel. Now he's switched over to his website. The videos are cheap though for what you get

Get a smart tv, its the 21st century. Or if you're poor, get a roku or knockoff brand to get kodi and play games and watch yt.
