Coping with symptoms: Monophobia in psychotropic medication withdrawal

Here I discuss coping with monophobia (the fear of being alone), my worst symptom in post-withdrawal.

I'm thankful I've never suffered from monophobia. It sounds horrid, and you did a good job describing it and offering tips.

What a perfect description of mono.
Yes it is pure emotional torture. I was to the point of being clingy. Imagine a grown man being scared of being alone kept going through my mind. Again it was torture. The anhidonia for me just compounded the mono. If your not interested in anything that you enjoyed in the past is a mind phuck and made it impossible to focus on anything. Then the anxiety and depression just takes everything out of life.
Thankfully I can now say that the mono is long gone as well as the depression so anyone who is in the thick of withdrawls I can assure you that it will end and you will get back to normal. I still do feel some passing anxiety and low mood sometimes but it’s quite mild. Just an annoyance mostly but life is definitely returning.
Trust in the process. The brain does heal.
