- Today on JD Cars we are installing 18" Jeep wheels and 32" Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires along with 2 inch wheel spacers on Christian's 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. This combo of wheels, tires, and spacers worked out very well. The fitment is perfect (no major wheel rub or other issues).

Just got a 2011 jeep Grand Cherokee. Thanks for doing this, now ik what to do 😃
SAME
Did u put them on yet
The hair flip ❤️
I like it a lot. Every jeep owner should do this.
Thanks! And agreed!
Did he have any problems with the spacers after install I plan on doing the same to my Cherokee trail hawk
Hermoso! Ya los quiero para la mia.
Nice , had same tires on my wk2 they are amazing
They're really beefy! Excellent in the snow.
Yes, more videos please.
Ok! You got it!
I just put some landspyder ats on my jeep grand Cherokee limited and I love them
You should definitely try a link lift on this gc and see how it looks with those tires
Looks very nice!!on the front does it rub?any mods in the front?pinch weld mod?
Выглядит отлично!
Respect guys! 👏👏✊☺️
Much appreciated!
Just got a Cherokee too I appreciate it
Happy to help!
Hey where in MA are you? I have a 2011 WK2 and love those headlamps, where did he get them? I just lifted mine.
Some else sexytized a WK2. I dig. Not enough people doing things to the GC as of late. Wasn't sure how it would look just stanced but it works well
Thanks Jordan!
DOPE !
Have you ever had problems with those aftermarket headlights? Are they similar to the most popular ones on Amazon?
Awesome
Have 32” duratracs on my grand Cherokee. Really damn loud from 40-60mph
Great video bros! I just put some duratracs on my 2015 gc. Is it normal to hear everything in the cabin? Like it’s loud af in the road until I get to 70mph. Thanks and keep it up!
How’s your driving experience with those spacers ?
Hi, how you istall the head light with day light for 2014 & above Grand Cherokee at 2011?
I’m looking to do something similar, but curious, how did it affect your mpg?
Nice!
Thanks!
Any updates on the wheel spacers? Have you noticed any vibrations at higher speeds or significant loss in mpg like that? Have you done any slight off-roading or anything like that with the spacers, any problems?
Thanks
No problems whatsoever! Working out great!
2in spacers look mean asf! I just installed 2in spacers on my 17 Limited with stock suspension and stock 18” rims with Wildpeaks. I have slight rub on front fenders when turning. Did you have to trim or had anything rubbing on front fender lip?
I have a 2017 grand cherokee trailhawk and put 285/70r/17 and got extremely bad rub with them. any ideal on how I could fix them to fit or should I go with different tires or add spacers. please help!!
Looks good man! Contemplating doing this as well, especially after seeing your video
Did you have to cut the original wheel studs to make the spacers work? That's a really funky set up and I think it looks great.
Nope! No cutting of the original wheel studs required. Definitely a funky setup 😅
Did you have to do anything to correct the speedo? And is there any rub? I love the 2014+ looking headlights!
Nothing with the speedo. Very slight rubbing occasionally. Thanks!
Yo do you have an update on how the 2in spacers last since install?!
Does this give it more ground clearance also?
Hey how much was that entire set up ?
Hows your CV joints? 😅, looks good but it kills those joints and boots.
Not being negative as im thinking of doing it but, did it on the WJ and was nothing but cv issues all the time.
what air mode are you in when on the snow pile. i have 275/65/18 and 265/65/18 on order w/1" spacers already on, but i off road quite often in dunes and snow trails. it looks like if you hit much of a bump when at turn you'd put the tire right into the fender.
I don’t recall the air mode but you’re right... this probably isn’t the best setup for off-roading
Where did you get your headlights ??
How do you like the duratracs? I put them on my 2013 GC OL. After a few months, the tires started their normal wear and got extremely loud. Just wondering if it was only me. I ended up pulling them off and going with the TrailRunners.
Same here after wearing down a little bit they are super loud
the link you provided for purchase doesn’t work can we get a new one?
Y love you Jeep
What kind of headlights are thanks
Is there a lift kit or leveling kit?
Does this overland have airride suspension? If so, did you do any trimming? I run. 275 65 18 on my trailhawk WK2 and out 1.50" spacers in the front and it rubbed until it was lifted to offroad 1.
Yes it has air ride. We didn’t have to do any trimming.
Looks Great, What LED headlights are those you added also?
I would like to know this also…
Me too
Did you get your jeep lifted or just went straight on ????
❤❤❤I’d love it 😍 ❤❤❤❤
It’s so annoying how no one is modding their wk2’s and nobody is making aftermarket kits/upgrades for them since there’s not a big enough market for it. I understand price margins are slim to produce wk2 lifts/bumpers/etc. especially compared to the wrangler. And most wk2 owners are suburban soccer moms that don’t even know what a torque wrench is, let alone being interested in modding their grocery hauler. But still.. compared to the Wrangler, the GC is still highly capable off-road in its stock form and could probably be pretty comparable to the JK with some minor fender/bumper adjustments for clearance and beefier suspension system. But unlike the JK, it’s extremely comfortable to ride in and it’s handling/performance is light years ahead of the JK when comparing ride quality. Sure it doesn’t have extremely low gears and can’t crawl boulders but in my opinion the GC is so much better all around and would be so much cooler if there were more options for off-road specific modifications. I’m lucky enough to have a mechanic background so I’ve still been able to custom fab a few things to get mine where I want it but would love for someone to come out with some off-road inspired fenders/bumpers/front end that don’t look bulky and ugly but give the GC much needed clearance. A guy can dream I guess...rant over. Love the vid, keep the wk2 mods coming!
I totally agree! Most wk2's never see off-road use, nor do JK's... but the wk2's off-road ability is definitely underrated. Hopefully companies will begin to produce more wk2 off-road parts as the market grows. Thanks for the comment and support!
Where you get the headlights from?
And problems with the speedometer, air pressure sensors ect. after the changes? I have a 2015 overland with factor 20s on it that definitely needs some more aggressive tires maybe some smaller wheels on it!
32's throw off your speedometer about 3 to 4 mph. When I'm doing 75mph, I'm actually running closer to 79. You can have your speedometer calibrated as long as you don't have a 2021 model.
I have 265/50/20 Cooper AT tires on my 16 GC High Altitude and I was considering doing 2" spacers. Would you see any issue with this? I don't think I'd have any but I'd like to get your opinion on it as well.
I think that would work - it would be very close however
Did you purchase new TPMS sensors? Does the TPMS indicator light show up on the dash?
You can purchase new ones and have them coded to the car
what lift did you install?
any thing jeep is cool
Looks sweet! Is there a lift on the jeep as well or stock?
It’s gat air suspension
I've got the exact same Jeep minus the color mines Silver with 10"wide rims and no spacers I stick out about 4"
Does it rub?
where did you get the headlights?
Did those headlights already come with the car? Or did y’all on install them? And nice video btw jeep looks nice. I got a 2011 but it’s a Laredo I’m tryna see if y’all got them lights cuz it’s an overland
Yeah we installed them. Thanks man.
Good observation. I have a 2012 Laredo and don’t have those lights. I was questioning it myself.
Ok what was the tire size you put on? Did you have any rubbing at all in standard mode?
No rubbing except when on uneven terrain and turning
Were the spacers required to prevent rubbing or just for looks?
They were installed for the looks
Wheres the WK2 channel?
What headlights are those?
Are those the steel decals from Auto Medals?
I'm not sure where he got them from... but they are steel decals
What are those headlights.?
Nice job. Does that Jeep have air suspension? I have a 2015 with quadra lift (ugh) and I’m looking to do something similar
Yes it does! Somehow it worked out (for the most part)!
@@JDCarsChannel haha ya?! Bit of rub?
Did you ever experience the car shaking especially in the steering wheel when you put these on? I’ve taken mine off and put them back on twice now after fixing a bunch of stuff and still can’t seem to find out why I have this problem.
We never had any shaking like that... make sure your wheels are well balanced
This looks great but what about Aero-Mode??? This question was asked and not responded to 3 times in this thread. It is so relevant...what happens to rub in Aero-Mode which cannot be overridden???
That I do not know!
Hey where can I get the headlights like yours? Desperately need a set?
They look like the factory headlights to me. They came with them depending on the model.
Can you specify what wheels those are? The link is no longer available for amazon
I don't recall the specific brand... it must've been a flash sale of them because we can't find the link anywhere. Sorry
Where did you get that bumper LED bar?
Amazon
1.5'' probably would have looked a lot better at stock level. Ending up going 1.25'' on mine with the 32'' tire definitely drives like a Jeep should.
I agree
Tyler, did you need a leveling kit or lift kit so it wouldn’t rub?
@@roelleuss Leveling kit. from rocky road front only
@@orion1two would there be any rubbing if I were to put 265/65r17 and 1.25 spacers without a leveling kit?
@@roelleuss I doubt it. I had 265/65/18 zero rubbing. I'd recommend doing that if you can find some 18's on ebay. looks perfect I found a good deal $500 for all 4 wheels
Hi mate, where you bought this headlight from ? Plz
goo.gl/GLbryA
Can you tell us what size tires you running with the Duratracs?
I don't recall but believe the specific size is said in the video
Bonjour qu’elle est la dimension des pneus s’il vous plaît ?
I was considering doing this to my 2017 limited stock because my treads are non-existent now, but I don't have air suspension... Do you think this would still work or would it rub?
I can’t say for sure.. you should try to take measurements of each suspension setup and see if they’re comparable
Ben castle yes they will work if you dont have the quadra lift. You can go 1 inch bigger than stock tire before you start having issues
Would the 2in spacer work if it was the 20’s with an off road tire
That depends on the offset of the wheel and the diameter of the tire.
What year is your Jeep?
I have few questions ill be happy to know the answers thank you, 1 what size are the wheels and 2 are the spacers safe to drive with and no fear to lose a wheel while driving ?
BORA is the best brand of spacers
What’s the the tire size 275 what ?
what size rims and tires?
There's a lot of misinformation about spacers can you give us an update on any issues or feelings about the spacers?
They've held up perfectly! No loosening or wobbling.
@@JDCarsChannel Still happy with your spacer install ?
Do you have a link to the headlights?. Thanks
Sorry, it seems they've been discontinued
your lightbar, where did you pull the wire and switch into the cabin from?
The light bar is actually hooked up to a wireless remote
JD Cars say what? Where can i find one and do u know if it works for the rough country lightbar??
I got brand new 31s R17 with a width of 10 im wondering if they will fit my 2014 Jeep grand without an air suspension.
They'll probably just fit!
AS YOU CAN SEE
Do you have a link to those headlights
In description of headlight installation video
Did you use thread locker?
We contemplated it, but decided not to.
Could you find a link to the rims for me. I’ve looked everywhere online for them and can’t find them. Great video tho!
Sorry, they’re no longer available
Check ebay, the code is 9165
Hi ... from where you get the headlights
goo.gl/GLbryA
Looks great but can the spacers take off road abuse . I’ve been contemplating getting some
Just get a wider rim. I dont have spacers and mine still stand out but with a wider tire. A wider footprint is way more valuable than a wider stance for offroading.
@@size1up I was contemplating that exactly thanks man those rims are pricey though 👍🏻
Where you get your headlights?
Check out our headlight install video - there’s a link
definetly doing this shit
Would 285/55/20 nitto ridge grapplers fit on my stock 2014 summit ?
Sorry-- can't say for sure. Did you give that size a shot?
If I buy a 1.25" spacer will I avoid rubbing the spindle? With R20 33
That would depend on your suspension setup! But I believe that would work, yes.
Have any idea what headlights these are?
Sorry, they're discontinued
2" space equivalent to what offset ? Like +18 or something ?
Yes, approximately
Do you have a lift kit on your jeep ?
No lift kit on this Jeep-- stock suspension.
Where’d you get those headlights?
eBay, but unfortunately they've been discontinued
Is that 32" stock with no lift??
Yes
Did anyone else see how one of the daytime running lights gave out ?
What’s the actual size of the new tire?
Link below
Did you need to regear at all? that looks absolutely fantastic! what's the size on those new tires?
Nope! No regearing required. Thanks! I don't recall the exact tire size but should be included in the video
