    Here's what I think about the IRON HEART 777XHS 25oz. Extra Heavy Selvedge jeans. I thought that I was impressed with the 666s but this one is on another level.
    Iron Heart 777XHS 25 oz. Extra Heavy Selvedge:
    - Made in Japan
    - Slim straight cut
    - Low/Medium rise
    - 25oz rope dyed indigo warp, natural weft Japanese selvedge denim
    - Lined rear pockets
    - Button fly and hidden rivets
    - Belt loops sewn into waistband
    - Poly/cotton constructional stitching
    - Selvedge side seams and fly construction
    - Sanforized and no wash - expected to shrink one inch in waist and length
    - The waist will stretch back out approximately one inch with wear
    - Other dimensions will stretch proportionately to the waist

    I always size up one with heavier denim, in the realms of 14-16 oz I go true to size, but when I dabble in 18-25 oz I size up one, just for comfort and that has worked for me :)
    Best regards from Sweden!

      Hey thanks and I’m glad you’re picking up on the vibes. Congrats on your adventures with BS. I did the same exact thing and started with BS because of their prices. I am still a huge BS fan because they are truly an authentic Heritage source with their Cone Mills Selvedge as well as Japanese Selvedge.

    I can't wait to see more vids about this pair of denim! Interested to hear your thoughts about the changes after the initial soak and the break-in process in general. I have the 633S in 21oz and 777 in 14oz but am considering sizing up my 777. Keep up the great work!

    I bought my 666s's true to size. I briefly considered going a size down as you did, but I had a bad feeling that the initial break in would be miserable. So hearing your experience with sizing down is very interesting. I love the jeans and enjoy wearing them. Thanks for the content!

      My friends swear by sizing down but I feel like that's not for me anymore. My 666s was a size down and I've had about 50-60 wears out of it and it has not gotten any easier. I'll be soaking it soon and also taking you all on that adventure. I'm planning to wear it damp which will be interesting indeed!

I’ve been into heritage style for the last 3 months and I’m never looking back. Next step is getting some iron heart denim and your videos have helped. Still gotta figure out which cut to get but I’m getting closer haha. Which island are you on? I miss Hawaii so much, haven’t been in a couple years but planning a trip within the next year.

      Thank you brother! I'm glad that you get my flow (not surprising since you and I have many similarities haha). I love connecting with other vets out there since most of us are almost always sticking to our own thing after leaving the military. Most are leaders as well and naturally follow very few mainstream trends. I got into heritage style myself in my mid-forties after totally rebelling on skinny jeans haha. I'm a rocker but no skinnies for me!
      As far as the cut of IH that I have purchased, they are the regular straight cut like the old 501s. Hope that helps and be patient with the process of breaking it in haha. I'm in Oahu (Haleiwa Town). I love all the islands and the country side of Oahu. It's peaceful here and I often go out an hike at the mountains to rest my mind and explore. Take care Quinn!

    I've been watching your videos, trying to decide on what Iron Hearts to get. I went ahead and sized down on a pair of 777's. Im going to try to grind through the break in. They fit pretty snug but I do plan on losing some weight. I am the heaviest I have ever been. So just for my own health, I need to lose some weight. I just hope they stretch a bit. Online it says it'll stretch up to an inch respectfully. So not only will I put the pair to that test ,but also testing my patience. Hopefully it'll be worth the discomfort.

    • @StylishGreaseMonkey
      @StylishGreaseMonkey  7 місяців тому +1

      Nice! I’ve lost weight myself and my IH are loosening up a bit. The 777 and 666 are medium rise in case you are into high rise jeans. I’m getting a 888 next to see how high rise fits me. I naturally wear my jeans low anyway but I am willing to see how high rise fits me. Enjoy your adventures with IH. Love their products, just being tight on funds so I’ve slowed down a bit. Mahalo!

      Hello Kevin and thank you for thinking of me. We are okay here in Oahu but of course there's always that chance of a tsunami or earth quake. For now, we are just normal.
      Yes, the natural weft and blue indigo are designed for a quick fade. The heavier the selvedge, the faster it fades. Although, I'm still waiting for my BraveStar to give in.

    G'day mate absolutely love videos there bad ass I'm just getting into the selvedge game and I no you bought size 34s in the 777s but are you a true 34 in other jeans or just for this cut I'm looking at a pair of 777s in the 18oz and I'm a 34 in other jeans do I size up or down because the detentions are the same as yours thanks for the good stuff man keep it up bra I'm 53 and I hear ya !

    • @StylishGreaseMonkey
      @StylishGreaseMonkey  Рік тому +1

      Hey brother thanks! I’m truly a size 34 on Levis. 32 is too tight and 36 too big. You really have to know that because the materials used on selvedge jeans vary. There’s also sanforized, unsanforized, prewashed, one wash, preshrunk, and shrink to fit to consider. It’s easy to screw it up for sure. When it comes to the 777 18oz, it is sanforized and one washed. According to IH, there should not be any shrinking expected and it will loosen up to an inch with wear. I personally would buy size 34 if I’m purchasing that one. Hope this helps!

    Great video about heritage style. I'm a big fan of Iron Heart denim, though a bit pricey, they are worth it. I won a few pairs of them. By the way, why did you go for the 777 cut? • @StylishGreaseMonkey
      @StylishGreaseMonkey  Рік тому

      Hey thanks! I went to the 777 for no particular reason really. I like a lot of IH styles including other products like their flannel shirts and such. I’m not a rich guy so I purchase IH whenever the funds are available. I’ll probably try the 888s or 634s in the future we will see. I like the way both fit but you mentioned that the 777 fits low on your waist. I feel that on both of them.

    I always order the 34. I really do think I could maybe Stretch out a 33 waist but 34 makes it easy for me to break in the IH denim. I trained hard this year. Ya it’s gets harder in some way to get lean after 50. Bro I picked up one of those weighted plate carriers and just wear that when I do my walks on treadmill or early morn beach walks. The pounds just melt off.
