- I had the opportunity to break in the 777 on a recent 7-day trip and here's what I thought of it.
I am sharing my experience with this amazing product in hopes we can strike up a discussion here. I'm not by no means an expert on any of these things but my passion for making videos and learning the history behind these products are definitely something I want to share with you.
Take what you need and leave the rest! I'm sure there are some that would pull the trigger on being an asshole and if you are one of those, be ready for a comeback.
For those of you who love this stuff and this channel, LOVE YOU, and many thanks!
Chris, I love your relaxed way of narrative, and the calm you transmit! Thanks!!!
I appreciate it very much! 😍
Right this is a great channel.
Great video and good information! I just started my journey into Heritage style and I'm loving it.
Yessss!! Welcome to the community!
Great Chris. Glad that you had a good trip. Looks like you had a great time. Brave man, taking those new 25oz 777's for a break in during your travels. Even in sweat pants, prolonged plane trips are challenging for me. Those should soften up nicely with wear. Digging the videos Brother. Aloha
Aloha Mark! Thanks for the warm regards as always. I used to travel far with no issues but of course those changes come with age. I didn’t mind the experience of course!
I like both the 777 and the 555. Fit is deff different. I’ve been getting a pair a year of each. Maybe this season will pick up 666s. I’ve been sticking with the 14 to 19 oz over the years.
I really enjoy your content!
Thank you Dan and please stick around!
Thanks for the info man. I’m waiting on my first pair of 888 25oz. Love the 21oz very much. Even in the hot as hell summers of South Mississippi the 21oz are very wearable and comfortable. Excited to take it up a notch with the 25’s. 🤘🤘
That’s what I’m talking about! I always tell people that it isn’t bad at all just like when I’m wearing my full gear at work in the field. Some think it’s hot and uncomfortable which I also get but overall it’s not bad at all.
25oz 888 has a lot of room for circulation so it’s not as hot as a slimmer pair like 777 or 666z. Be sure to shower frequently bc those things soak up sweat and will smell nasty quick
I always go high rise, I can't get comfort in mid or low. I have a pair of 19oz Samurai mid rise and they are ball busters especially sat down. In my Iron hearts I go 888.
The 888s are on my wish list for sure. I also have old school Sugarcanes that are heavenly to wear because of it being high rise and wide leg. I’ll do a vid with n comparison..
Yes above 16oz it's reasonable to go to our real size if size is too much suspenders will be the solution.
Pascal from France.
Just got a new pair of TCB 50's, fits really nice. :) Like your content, cheers from Sweden!
Nice!!!! Thanks brother!
That new denim looks great with your Red Wings! 🔥 I guess I’m a bit surprised that there was a little shrinkage in the denim, despite the fact you soaked them in cold water and air-dried. But then I was relieved to hear that was counterbalanced by the honeycombing fit.
I was surprised as well but anticipated it based on the description provided. It was a temporary shrinkage though, I guess a reaction to wetting. It went back to size a few days later.
These look great on you. Do you have a lot of room on the thighs? I have a 777-21 but they are tight on the thighs. From the size guide, I don't think sizing up one size makes much different on the thighs (0,5 inch). For for a similar look, I think I should look at the 888.
Great video 👍🏻 one of these days maybe you could show us how you roll your cuffs? I'll be breaking in my Brave Star 25oz on a 10 day motorcycle ride to Yosemite.
Thanks Bill! 🙏 I sure will!! 10 day bike ride! You’re tougher man and update us how it went please.
Great video! I recently bought a pair of 888S-19L left hand twill. They are much tougher to break in than my 21 ounce ones though, probably the denim is more tightly woven on these ones. I don't have any 25 ounce to compare it to but it is on my list to get soon.
Beautiful pair you got there! My Sugarcane left hand twill faded gloriously and the ID is almost to the front and back as the fabric loosened.
@@StylishGreaseMonkey Great stuff!
Great video huge Ironheart fan myself and I wear the 555s they seem to fit better
Thank you brother! Love their products for sure!
lol In fact because of U I just bought the 555 25oz lol
@@Dickthecabguy oh crap, it definitely is my fault haha!! I have a new acquisition from Brave Star. Vid coming soon! Thanks a ton!
Cigar and coffee! Now you’re talkin’ brother!
Yes sir!!!!
Great review. I wonder did you soak it before your first wear because the jeans is very stiff
Thanks! I didn't, I wore it straight from the packaging. I have since soaked it and it feels a little better. Maybe another soak will really wash off the remaining starch.
I want to get a pair of 25 oz Brave star sumo IV, heaviest denim I have right now is 14.5 oz lol.
Do it haha! BS has the best deal out there in my opinion.
The 633 cut is where it's at man🤙🏻 633-21 to be specific
Thanks Lance and I will definitely put that on my wish list.
Are these any heritage stores in Oahu? I’m assuming you live in that island.
I ordered them directly from Iron Heart.
So your opinion the 666 is looser in the fit compared to the 777?
Same cut I think but I did order the 777 on a 34 waist vs 32 on the 666.
@@StylishGreaseMonkey..can i know your body Height and Weight..? Very good IH 777 with size 34 to you.
I want compare with mine..thankyou
Bad idea to fly the first day with a 25oz IH, i have the same 😂
Motorcycles, cigars and heritage clothing, man you are living the life.
Haha.. you know how it’s done alright! Just enjoying life that’s all!
Mr. Grease Monkey..can i know your body Height and Weight..? Very good IH 777 with size 34 to you.

is that tumor on ur dogs?
Unfortunately one of them has a tumor yes. It’s the mother of them all and is too old for surgery. She is under medication to alleviate the pain.
Well, the pants or iron heart items are good, but they're not worth it. The prices are just too high outside of Japan
The pants cost about 215 US dollars in Japan. Flannel shirts cost about 180€.
Import customs and middlemen are milking us customers. We customers are the stupid ones.
I agree they cost a lot. I also just returned from a Japan 2 week trip and I've hit up the TreFac and 2nd Street near Tokyo. Because the Yen exchange is good, it seems used Selvedge is a lot more affordable now. Too bad I'm not a 32 waist!
These definitely are not going to work for dudes with muscular legs
