Thanks Mark, always enjoy your videos! after a couple years of soul searching as to what GMT would I pick, given colors and L vs. R hand drive, I finally settled on the… black & grey Bruce Wayne 😂 i like the low key aesthetic of a GMT under the radar. VTNR would be my 2nd choice, as it’s quirky and I really like green, but already own the Starbucks 😊 I’m leaving the Batman and Pepsi for the hypesters out there! Here’s to us middle aged watch nerds in it for the long haul!
On a different subject - I was in the Melbourne Hour Glass checking on my Rolex wait list 🙄 and the only watch for sale…was the Gollum! I tried it on and what an evilly addictive thing it is 😈
Yes, it was indeed! The ONLY Rolex watch available for immediate purchase. The Siren called but I lashed myself to the mast and avoided financial and marital doom
@mattsa I'm shocked as I thought that model would be in very short supply, and high demand. But yes, it would be a choice between that and divorce for me. I would truly become Gollum if I bought it, as I would be left homeless 😔
Got THE call (err, text) yesterday and picked up my Rolex Explorer 40mm! Wow, I can’t believe how stupidly ecstatic I am with it. The blackness, the indices, the lume, the bracelet…such quality, so iconic. 5 month wait with 2 visits and two phone calls. The salesman I dealt with was polite and respectful 👍🏼
I'm happy you're an omega fan as welll, the origin of my youtube name 😂, very nice, it's been awhile since I've been back to the vault, went back yesterday and said hi to my 114060, 116660 and others also replaced my ploprof and PO chrono with PAM24... awesome videos good gentleman Sir ❤ oh, my PAM 219, Destro is my only left-hand-side manual watch which i funnily wear upside-down for fun 😂😂😂 also childish for life ❤❤❤
It's a disgusting hobby isn't it! 😆 yes I love my Omegas and just hope they do something cool and available with the Seamaster soon, as they are missing a trick in that category, letting the other manufacturers eat their lunch.
As a fellow "lefty" owner and wearer, I always enjoy the VTNR content. I'd also add that Rolex made the VTNR because their CEO is a lefty and apparently this was a pet project of his. Whether that means it's more or less likely to be discontinued, who knows. I'm wearing mine plenty. It's a fantastic summer/tropical watch. Obviously the bracelet is fantastic but I've seen some really nice examples on rubber straps too....
Hi Mark I've seen this watch reviewed many times and no one has mentioned how and if the functions of setting the watch have changed as the crown is on the left.(Do you have to wind it backwards to set the time etc????)and do you find it more awkward to set the time being right handed? Because I'm right handed and would struggle to even write my name with my left hand. great video please let me know thanks John 👍.
@JohnBowman-ut4dz Hi John, yes everything is upside down as the movement is swung 180 degrees from right to left. It's weird at first, but I think people overplay that. It doesn't take long to adjust to. Like when you take a 36mm watch off and put on a 42mm it feels massive, but after an hour or two your brain adjusts
I have one and I wear it on my left wrist. I like it because it is different and love the green but I cycle watches unless I fall in love with them. I think it will be discontinued because Rolex likes hype and when one of their pieces gets discontinued it builds more hype and interest. Then again, I agree they could release a left hand Pepsi, why not the design and R&D is already there so why let that go to waste.
@Mil-SpecWatches they are due to release something weird soon, so maybe another Lefty and discontinue the existing! That would send the investors into max overdrive, and create a whole load of hype!
I got mine a couple of months ago after a 2.5 year wait….I like you got my name straight on the list at launch. I got mine on the jubilee to try and negate those scratches….I’m a Leftie and love it!!
I just got a lefty too. Sinn EZM 3F. Honestly, the watch is superb, and I would never get a rolex personally. I like the lefty crown. It's very clever really. Sits tucked away, not in the way at all Have you handled Sinn? Stunning. Apart from a little noise from the Sellita (only notice in a quiet room when moving wrist), it's superb
@robynsjp yes that and the left handed datejust they released once. Also apparently you could order a lefty from Rolex and they would make you one! Times have changed!
I like the look of your “lefty” and can see why you like it. Wear what you want to wear, where you want to wear it. (Although this probably only applies to watches really 😂)

@mattsa oh fantastic news! Congratulations! It's a lovely long dopamine hit getting a Rolex! Enjoy it!

@Valera_Scotland I like Sinn very much, but have never bought one. I had a liking for Damasko for a long time, which kind of scratched that itch
@@TheRandomWatchDude yeah they're very good.. worth a try
Not the first time they did it. If I could pick, I would go with the lefthand Rolex GMT 6542 Pepsi from the 1950s.

Another great video 👍🏻
@@DDBMFAMILY thanks very much
EZM3, left hand crown, used by special ops soldiers… for operating weapons without hurting their wrists
I have the Pelagos LHD , sold it within a week because of the hassle setting it upside down. Horrible experience
Nice 👍🏽

@@NATHANSFLETCHER yes agreed. This applies to watches only! 😅
Lefthand Coke … :)
@satai yeh that would be cool as
