Why do people treat the Explorer’s size different than the other oyster perpetuals and date justs? They were all only available in 36mm until 2015. Why is the Explorer the only watch that must stay the original size, and the only sports watch people want to be small? Peopled weighed about 1/3 less on average in 1950. The dial size is the same as the 38mm Aqua Terra or Hamilton Khaki Field.

Love the design of the Seamaster. Think it is a do anything watch really. Can wear in any occasion, and the bracelet for me gives it a little bit of pizazz.

Basically your advice is going to an AD and suck their d’ck to be able to spend your hardly earned 10kEUR or more… so you are good enough to buy their watches… brilliant strategy…. Fok Rolex and go to Omega or any other brands with better customer service

Odd, of all the reviews I’ve watched about the new Explorer, you’re the only one who says it wears large. The rest of the reviews I’ve seen all unanimously have said it wears smaller than the 39mm version due to the lug to lug measurements. Interesting.

In your travels have you come across anyone/AD you’d recommend to sell to? I’m considering selling my gold gmt master 2, black face and with papers. Auckland is local for me.

i prefer the 2254 50 over the current gen seamaster pro. 6 o'clock is a turning point in one's day, so I like a good,bigger 6 o'clock marker. I hate date at 6 ,except on an horizontal bi compax chronograph. Leon Marchand is probably wearing the same seamaster as Craig in an ' interview exclusive paris 2024 'on yt . french télévision. besides the no date, it would be amazing if it was smaller too

Craig's watch just looks like a steel NTTD, possibly retaining the ceramic bezel from the standard SMP300. It's also worth remembering that the milanese bracelet is available to buy separately, so it's not necessarily a special/limited edition. Speaking of which, my issue with that bracelet is the lack of micro adjust. I know folding clasps don't have this, but would think Omega could do something to help.

I have a standard blue dial diver 300 from 2023. And both moonwatch, the new white dial and a hesalite black dial.

I was recently in the exact situation. I ended up with a 2011 14060m got it unserviced from original owner. Choose this cause it is “original” sub shape and at a lower age, so i can scuf the watch with my “life story” The go-to that will never leave my collection. Hoping it will be the one my kids want when im gone

Finally bought the Quartz version, also have the electric blue dial Quartz also. Great beaters. Wanted the automatic versions but these were deals I couldn’t pass up. Maybe get those in automatic in the future.

I went 14060/14060M. No box and paper on mine. 5513 shouldn’t be anyone‘s first (unless you are super wealthy)cuz it is old and super precious so you won’t want to take beating. It is no longer a Beater and more money than I am willing to spend. Modern subs are truly nice watches but it doesn’t feel like vintage sub at all. No nostalgia for me and I am not willing to play the AD games. 14060M has nice balance with quality and price. I happen to bump into 14060 and if am not going to sell, box and paper no matter. A little price break for me is also nice.

I've always dreamed of owning an Omega Seamaster 300. Now that I finally have the money, I went to try on the 60th-anniversary model at the Omega store. Unfortunately, it's extremely heavy, and the mesh bracket is uncomfortable. I have a very slim wrist, around 5.8 inches. Even if a new model came out with a 40mm size, it wouldn't be practical for me because the standard bracelet is too heavy-almost 200g with the watch. The mesh bracelet is also very uncomfortable, and the NATO strap lacks style. It seems my best option might be to go for the new Aqua Terra 38mm in black.

I can't can't down with Omega anymore. They marketing is straight up embarrassing and come off as more as a fashion brand now. Zoe Kravitz seriously 😂a real shame what the Swatch group has done to Omega. Omega aren't the great brand they once were not even close

116600 sd4k has to be the best divers watch, rolex has ever made, has the same depth rating and its on a 40mm case

Couldn’t agree more on the bracelet. It’s nowhere near sturdy, solid and substantial enough to be the ‘standard’ offering on a watch model of that price and calibre. Really hoping they release this new black no date with the option of the 5 link, even though that itself could do with slimming down a touch!

I also have 2254.50 for 2 year already. Great piece, still run smoothly.

I like my Seamaster but I prefer my Submariner

i just hope its not some special limited etc shenanigans and omega put this on the market for a reasonable price. was always my favourite watch brand but since the new AT release with this absolutely horrific and llazy microadjustment i feel like i'm not drawn ti their new releases any longer. a lot of cash cow milking with their speedy, bond, olympics without a lot of improvements. however:price increases

But the regular bracelet doesnt taper. Looks bulky and goofy. If i could have a similar taper to the new speedy.. id be happy.

I’m not bothered about my watches getting scratched but I have noticed that Rolex watches with 904L steel scratch quite a bit easier than my grade 316L stainless steel watches, no doubt about it, it is evidently a softer metal.

Great video I have the omega Seamaster 25345000 50th GMT version with the sword hands, it’s also a true GMT. It’s a fantastic watch. And I have to agree the thinner profile is so much better.

You're 100% correct about the bracelet. I got mine and 1) had to get the shoeter bracelet (which Omega swapped, no charge) and 2) the clasp felt bulky and uncomfortable initially. However, after wearing it a full day the discomfort went away and I no longer noticed the bulk. The only time I notice it is in the morning if I slept on the bracelet in a certain way it left a minor clasp indention in my skin. Not painful but just felt the clasp in the skin. My only complaint. I really love this watch though.

Great points regarding your reason for not buying the 60th anniversary bond, this idea of hiding watches in the back room is getting in my nerves. This whole idea of limited editions and so on, it does not appeal to me, a nice standard black Seamaster Pro does it for me.

I thought the watch looked smaller too , maybe a new 40mm case design? But then I went back and saw how small the white dial 42mm speedmaster looked on wrist and concluded that it’s just Daniel Craig and his massive wrists that made that SMP 300 look like a 40mm haha. It’s the same case as the 60th anniversary, the only changes being the triangle at 12o’clock instead of 60 and a normal lollipop seconds hands instead of the modified one on the 60th anniversary bond SMP 300.
