I forgot to ask if Shadowheart still had the Blood of Lathander equipped because that emits light. Ah well. The puzzle being solved by a cawcaw is funnier, at least.
For anyone who is confused why the first puzzle wasn't working - Shadowheart has a light ring around her because she has the Lathander mace equipped. It emits light, and therefore was making the rings invisible when she was too close
I was so nervous about him having it equipped to Astarion for the longest time because it can also cause important cutscenes for him not to happen if someone in the party is equipped with it in Act 3.
@@ashleylaney6224 Wait really? I didn't know that damn, I've had him equipped with it
@@youbelonghere74 yes, I’m intentionally being vague to avoid spoilers, but there’s a part in Act 3 that won’t happen if it’s equipped. I’m not sure how it impacts the game because it was happening to my friend when I was at her house and I figured it out before she moved on and had her reload.
@@ashleylaney6224 yeah I've figured out which scene it is, I was wondering why I hadn't had it. Well it's too late now but I'll remember this for my next playthrough!

Astarion did the killing blow to Balthazar. I love Lightning arrows. They've saved our group more often than not. Halsin's earth elemental did quite a bit of damage to B. when he tried to run past it, through the fire wall.
this year was my freshman year in college and i was having a hard time, i found neil through bg3 and just want to say thank you! i caught up with all your streams and am so happy to be with this community :)
I've love playing BG3 so much it has made me take the plunge and start a gaming channel. However I may have bitten off more than I can chew by deciding to voice and act out all the Tav dialogue....Let's just say it has given me a new appreciation for the sheer amount of dedication and hard work you and your fellow actors put into your jobs. 😵💫

I hate the dialogue options for telling people to stay in the camp so much that I don't ever tell them, I just go recruit the person I need and tell them they can take so-and-so's place. I never have to talk to the person getting replaced directly. 🙃

No idea if the guys see these comments BUT me and a friend had the same Karlach romance bug issue and fixed it by doing a couple of long rests in a row - literally long rest, leave camp, go straight back to camp, long rest again and Karlach had the romance triggering ! above her head 🥰
I remember the umbral portals fight being so impossible for me I had to lockpick the gate behind the skeletons and let the npcs take over😂
My battle with Balthazar was just as clutch. I forced open the door and fought two sides in the middle. But it call came down to just shadowheart and the flesh golem. Mace of Lathander rezzed shadowheart, and she strucked the killing blow in return.

I'm just imagining Astarion being a little bit crispy and still smoking after he gets resurrected out from underneath that firewall. Cue another "I was right there!" rant. 🤣 It's the solar lance all over again, poor scamp.
I'm hoping they won't but honestly with there being a paladin in the party I would hope/assume once they learn about what the Nightsong is, they wouldn't go down a certain path.

In a different life, it would make sense for Astarion to be a Sharran; she would have been the right god to answer his prayers when he'd been sealed away. She responds to heightened calls of grief and dwells in the darkness.
He said he prayed to all the gods and none of then answered. I imagine Shar was probably one of the first ones when he got locked away wishing for death.😢
I heard "Asra, smite!" and my brain was like: "Wait, didn't Raven from TT say azra metrion zynthos?" heh

my first playthrough, at the end of the game there were only Astarion and the white dog in my camp. at the beginning I had all my companions, they gradually disappeared, only Astarion remained. and what I did wrong?
I can’t say that I regret this ending, because I never knew how to work in a team, apparently the same situation happened in games.
and yes because of this I had to let him be ascended because I can't imagine how I would have finished the game
I wonder if Neil is singing lets go Sunning because its stuck in his head because The fallout tv show just aired. i cant rememeber if the song is in the show but its definitely in the games and we know neil is a gamer. Im probably overthinking it :D

I finally killed Balthazar and my character is trying to control Drow impulse and be Good Cleric Eilastraee and not kill people be annoying me. Shar makes Lolth look good
