What is the maximum weight a Phantom 3 or Phantom 4 drone can lift?

Who else came for the dog lifting?
⬇️
Where is Nick's spirit of adventure ? They've sent Monkeys into orbit so the least a small dog could do is sacrifice himself for his Master's UA-cam channel.
Yeah. Its clickbait. Thats why the dislike ratio is so incredibly high.
Me
Hahahahahahahah I fell for it
me
At the end why is it so satisfying to watch the dog try to get the drone
I totally agree what a joyful site for some weird reason. Gotta love dogs
Love seeing Tui chasing your drones around your back garden; he's a star Nick. :-)
I really appreciate you taking the time to research this for us! I didn't really plan on lifting anything with it but its good to know that its possible at these weights, haha! Have a great day!
Just the chuckle I needed tonight, thanks for entertaining the idea of weight capacities. Have a Happy New Year!!!
You got similar results to a couple other people testing these with payloads. Great video. Any idea what kind of improvement carbon fiber props give you with a Phantom 3 Pro?
Excellent consumer advice, thank you!
I'll wait until things improve before having a Baby ...
That's a good point, how much weight do you figure that'll save?
+darkpill from my experience only 4 lbs were cut off a 10 lb baby although just the head is 2 lbs so it would be a good hat for it
Plz Mobile No nend Korun
Great video! Im sure your aware of how well those plastic blades can cut through your body if it accidentally some how came at you! Anyways, cheers mate! Keep up the good work.
The problem with the P4 was the sensors. Turn them off by going into sport mode and you'll be able to lift more. I have one.
Awesome work. Thanks for sharing!
amazing that Nick was able to get over two pounds of green unicorn blood! thanks!
Thank you for your research
Nick, I just started watching your videos! They are very unique! I was very happy to see that someone in Connecticut has a good and popular channel! I am sure to stay and watch this channel grow, and see many exciting things to come! Don't let the hate comments bring your down (and your drones). My jokes are bad. Sorry.
Also, I could make you a personalized channel banner for free if you would like, using photoshop!
Fantastic insight as always Nick, would love to see dji matrice 600 compared next :-)
Some science right her boys and girls.
Love your videos the quality is good. May I ask what cameras are you using?
Great video Nick. I'm not going to even ask about the "Unicorn blood" I was already blown away with the person who wanted to lift his baby with a drone. If he does insist have him contact someone with a UAV drone instead of UAS one...lol
you have lost some weight nick, looking well. Love the vids man.
Is it possible that the Vision Positioning System in Phantom 4 may have an effect in the lift test? I see that the weight was hung right below the sensor system.
thats exactly what I'm thinking
But but the P3 Adanced, 34k, & Pro has the same Vision Positioning System as the P4.. So that cant be it! Right?
You have two small positioning cameras in addition below the P4. Yes, it's effected for sure.
we lift heavy payloads with Phantom 4 all the time. Just turn off the VPS.
What kind of camera are you using for this vlog? the image looks incredible clear.
another way to test would be to have them attached to one of those hook style weight scales, do they make them in digital now? That would give an absolute pulling power anyway!
What camera do you use? I love the video and picture quality you've shown in this video!
Nick, can you tell me where you got that yellow led light plant on the table behind you please?
Which camera do you use for recording. I love the quality.
Was the 4 in the more powerful "sport" mode when you tried this test ?
Hey Nick, great video as usual. Seen you wear a couple watches in your videos and wondered if that was something you were interested in? If so a video of any you have would be great. ( good horology tends to go alongside good taste in cars occasionally )
I like the end where the little dog is trying to catch the drone
My wife is volunteering our 13 yr old son for testing purposes. Funny how things change.
Make sure she doesn't volunteer you!
She would in a heart beat.
Antoine Pageau hahahaha that made my day... Cheers!
You should get a divorce. Risking a child's life in a flying machine. oh look, the number for Montreal Child Protective Services is 514-935-6196.
j'espere que tu comprends que c'est une joke !
hmmm, what weighs 2 pounds or less, that I really wouldn't want in the car with me, when I travel between Colorado and New Mexico???? Thx Nick! You've just solved a problem that many of us have!:)
No you fly the drone over first land than drive across then retrieve drone
smart
The problem is the flight time! lol
JF1 lol
If you don't mind me asking, what camera did you use for this video?
Do you have any custom settings on it? The quality of your video is outstanding and is something I'm looking to achieve.
I'll never be able to buy one of these things so I have to just enjoy watching videos of other people operating them.
You can get the phantom 3 pro for under 500! Catch the right person you may find it under 300
I picked a Phantom 3 up for about $500 CAD, but just saying they are not worth it unless you're really into making films. Otherwise, get a good set of FPV equipment they run off analog visual signal which makes it much easier to see what the drone sees and make adjustments to the controls in time but with the DJI Phantom your flights really need to be planned out because reaction time is so slow.
The dog don't seem to need help going airborne :D
I really admired the clarity of your footage that you shot. Do you mind if I ask you what your camera set up is for shooting your vlog?
I mostly use a Canon 80D with 10-18mm or a Panasonic GH4
i just came here for the drone lifting up the dog -_-
Vishal Jaiswal same mostly
Vishal Jaiswal same..thumbnail click bait. Thumbs down.
Mr. potato look at the thumbnail
Vishal Jaiswal !r
Its absolutely possible. All you need is a 1-3 11-14 year old naughty boys, a drone, a dog, some straps. Leave everything together and then everything will become possible:D
I want to buy a DJI phantom just for fishing...... do you think the phantom will make a good tool? Is it worth it? My number one fear is that I'm flying the drone towards the ocean to drop bait ( you can install a payload drop ). And all of a sudden my drone just drops into the ocean never to be found again. You obviously know a lot. What are your thoughts? Should I go down the rabbit hole of drones or just not bother.
You think the phantom would fair well in windy conditions?
What's the range of a phantom?
Nick Murray, do you think that the issues from the Phantom 4 may have came from the proximity sensors?
Yes
Your videos are good. How your country is so clean and greenish my friend. Hope you all people maintain and support and love the environment. Instead of seeing the actual one, iam keep looking the back ground beauty of your video . Lucky people. My Wishes.
좋은 영상 잘보고 갑니다.
Tuey seems to like chasing the drone...cool dog
Interesting. I wonder what kind of drones Domino's and Amazon is going to use in order to deliver their packages one day. Up to two pound packages or maybe a beefed up motor on a custom drone.
Please I need a Phantom even if it was the first version of 💔
Well, it probably struggled because of the vision positioning system detecting the uneven surface (the bottle) and tried to hover
hi Nick What camera do you film your vlogs. Very crisp image
Thank you for info🎣🎣🎣
Your yard is looking green and healthy...no doubt a benefactor of that unicorn blood...be a while then before Amazon delivers my next big screen tv via a drone...
My dog loves chasing drones
Very nice hanste aur muskurate Rahe
51 he says I will fill it up with some unicorn blood😂😂
the new BABY STORK delivery!
Very nice drone
Hi Nick,
When the drone was flying did you notice any vibrations?
Awesome testing! But do you reckon the strain from carrying things would damage the drone in the long run?
Almost definetly, batteries would degrade and the motors could be damaged from spinning too fast/ overheating etc
@@jamesdonnelly7194 not true at all. We use phantoms to lift max weights fishing every single day the weather lets us and have done hundreds of flights out over the ocean with the drones struggling to carry max weight in high winds and absolutely no issues at all. The batteries do run down faster in flight with the extra payload but that's completely expected.
Good video.
Very nice.
What was that musical piece in your soundtrack?
Would be much lolz to see what a Phantom2 would have done.
I'd expect more then the P3, especially if running decent props.

That dog in the pic was like.. "really dude?"
Dog fly??
Nice brother
Cool drone
The bottle can be "seen" by the Phantom 4's sonar, and maybe part of it's erratic flight characteristics.
yes that is the issue. It flies just fine with heavy weights if you turn the VPS off.
I could watch Tui chasing that drone for hours, lol

So I can deliver up to 2 pounds of weed to my customers?.. Thanx for the info 👍
only if they live within 3 miles
Phantom 4 has 28 mins of fly time, a little less with 2 lbs of weed but plenty of time to drop your load off in the yard of the local correctional center. Of course you'll want the anti-missile flares in case they try to shoot you down.
+Patrick Man I think it's closer to 22 minutes most times (taking air gusts into considetation) but what I meant was fpv range.
+Patrick Man and nobody is going to shoot missiles at you 😂
unfortunately the real distance is like 1 mile if good signal
Well its apparent you would be a better parent then the person that posed the question. 😉 Great video and thanks for sharing. Enjoy your day.
What camera did you use to make this video? Indoor quality is great.
Seems like a (less than interesting) spreadsheet of various drones with a set of 10 pigs , sporting various weights. The pig in the top weight class would be a truly awesome drone.
perfect video
Nice one sir
The good ol days
I've ordered a phatom4 pro v2.0.... Looking to carry and release 3-4 lbs approximately 100 at 30 feet... Do you think the phantom can get the job done????? If not which do u recommend
cool video!!!
Interesting video.
one question, the device you use for your Phantom drone. doesn't have to have mobile data on it for it work ?
Cary Dickey no
yup great parenting skills
Nice Video!!
Did you try this in sport mode with P4? I wonder if that would make for a significant difference.
all he had to do was turn off the VPS sensors.
Excellent video! I've liked and subscribed because of it!!
Never fly a drone next to your face .
Speech Effect For real. And this dummy is telling people in the comments that they can hand launch a phantom.
How do people not understand how insane it is having 4, sharp, powerful blades near any part of your body?
We are seeing "Idiocracy" play out right before our eyes ...
Hello! What camera did you shoot this video with?
so nice
But the question is, can the Phantom 4 lift the Phantom 3?
liftception
yes

Brilliant....
Yep unicorn blood
Amazing
the dog at the end made me laugh so cute i love animals
oh i just got a phantom 4
You're from Westport?! I'm from southington! Cool!
The phantom 4 has sonar so if you put something underneath it it will think it's close to the ground and fly up
Are you getting the Mavic Pro and if so are you going to perform this test?
You do know baby's are 3 times 3lbs?
Stream Alexander Can be. They come out differently.
did you deactivate the safe mode on the 4? if not thats why it wouldnt fly
1:18 the moment you almost lost you eyeballs
He's wearing glasses
@@fredstead5652 oh
So what aircraft would you recommend for Ron?
Great video ;)
that question sounds like a complicated math problem that I'm sure someone could solve to complete accuracy
Try secureing the load to the copter you don't have it trying to correct it's self. over correcting and crashing because of a swinging load . eventually it will flip over correcting for the swinging load.
Now you can bring food to the wife upstairs without leaving the man cave downstairs. You'll just need fpv to navigate through doorways, but a small tub of ice cream and utensil should carry over well. Maybe some flowers. The credit card?
Can you compare Mavic and Phantom 4 lifting weight? I'm really need it
This is a neat video but I'm wondering what this is doing to the motors...
i've been looking for UNICORN BLOOD for 3 years! where da hell did you find some???
Ebay
I have been in the model RC hobby for just about 10 years and my guess is that you have never experienced a prop strike before. Holding that phantom so close to your face is a good way to cause some real damage. If you value your eyesight I would exercise more caution especially when the phantom flight controller is trying to fight the added weight and the influence of you grabbing a hold of it.
super bro
where you concerned at all, about breaking the landing legs because of the heavy weights and the way that you attach them.
