    Fantastic tips and video, thank you! I’ve decoupaged once on a few smooth garden rocks and they still look great. I’m not sure why I haven’t done anything else but after watching your awesome tips I will definitely try other items. I was not aware that using the links helped support these videos and will make sure to use them, thanks for making me aware.

    one thing I have found with the flat canvas, its good when they do separate like that, after I decorate/paint/decoupage, I cut the canvas off the cardboard backing, then seal it, then you can actually use it like fabric and make really cool totes and such, just a happy accident I came across while painting.

    Thank you for your informative video. I just finished my very first project using decoupage on some dresser drawers and they came out gorgeous! What I didn't expect were the incredibly heavy fumes from the glue! OMGosh we had to open windows and it was horrible so I am definitely in search of a new glue that will not curl the ends of my hair and have me twirling lights at a rave concert! lol! Thanks again!

It’s okay, it did finally wash off so I will start over tomorrow. I put a second coat of Modpodge and you are supposed to wipe the back off the picture with a wet sponge. I learned a lot from your video. I live the flower pot.I’m going was to try all of your suggestions . I’ll let you know outcome. Thanks for this fantastic video. Great tips, Patti! I've had problems decoupaging on round surfaces. Still a newbie but I love it! I want to decoupage everything I see now! I have a lot of decorative paper (card stock). Any tips for using paper? Someone suggested wetting it first. I also have decorative tissue paper I'd like to use. You make it look so easy but I'm sure it's all practice. If only it was that easy to remove facial wrinkles!!! I'd have a stockpile of Saran wrap!!!! 🤣 Enjoy your birthday! Hope you do something special! 🥂🎂🎁🎈🎉🎊 Looking forward to next Thursday's video!

    • @patioelf
      @patioelf  6 років тому +9

      Hi Nancy! I'm putting a video out right now using a card, but off the top of my head I can say, wet the paper if it's thicker, this makes it much more pliable/on some papers you can peel the backing off, which is what I'll show in the video. You can either use scotch tape (which takes a long time and it can pull away too much of the paper so the image tears, or the method I use in today's video) Thank you! I am going on vacation for my birthday and the birthday was amazing. Thanks again Nancy!
