You ever had to fix the dynamic steering in Audi b9? I have an A4 and anytime I’m at 35 or above giving small turns left and right the steering wheel vibrates from the dynamic steering motor feels like it’s fighting itself, when I remove the fuse it goes away that’s how I know it’s in the steering column, there’s no sound or shake in the car, only the steering wheel, I have Audi warranty but they are dancing around it saying it’s ok, you ever had to deal with this issue?

Also, do you work on these Audis. Great posts, as always Thanks Paul

I had a Passat Wagon for 14 years which was like the red-headed step-brother of the Audi cars and after so many years my back wished that I had had electric power adjust seats for the many highway miles. @@VAGTechnic so dropping the engine with the shocks on, isn't big of a deal then. Good stuff. Yes the drc audi calibration tool is 2.5k£ not cheap! Haha
@@ΒασίλειοςΠαπασταύρου He said that for your car you would leave the shocks mounted to the shock towers and not bring them down with subframe and engine.
I have a 3.0T CREC supercahrged. I've got a crazy oil consumption issue. No leaks, new PCV, new PCV regulator valve. I'm stumped. The car never has blue smoke or anything just a steady consumption.. Any ideas???
How much is crazy? How much smoke at start-up vs under acceleration?
@@jamesmedina2062 1qt about every 600-800 miles depending on driving. No smoke at all. No leak on the belly pan either. It’s got me stumped
@@gavinhelms8628 if it depends on driving then it will somehow go down the tailpipe burned but unnoticed. If you check the TUrbo Inlet Pipe or the intercooler pipe somewhere you can see if there is oil there indicating turbo seal issue. You would also check the chambers with borescope and by spark plug check. Which oil is in there?
Just put a deposit on a FASH 2017 S5 with 22k on it, only do 7 k a year , should i be concerned and would you back out ??
You can get a sport diff in the S model. It's an optional extra.
Here in the US. Not sure about UK.
It’s part of the sport pack in the USA. If it has red calipers it’s a tel tale sign it has the sport diff
We costumers know that everything takes a long time to fix...A oilchange on a Golf -89 takes about 8 hour. 😁😉
I enjoy these videos so much but it also deters me from purchasing one of these used. I doubt they all have issues but it’s a a big risk knowing that if you maintenance the car correctly you will still have a chance of a 5k dollar repair.
so is not the rocker problem, something new came up on 3.0T ea839
Can i apply a work sir...great content it's help a lot..
Wondering if you guys would rebuild/forge a Golf R mk7 engine?
Wait so they have the same brakes and rotors?
Are the head's the same on those two cars ? Starting to wonder if the only internal difference is the con rods altering the compression and making it slightly different cc.
Compression ratio is different
@@VAGTechnicLonger rods which would account for it being a 2.9 instead of a 3.0 be real interesting to know if thats the only internal change. If you get chance to measure bore pretty sure there's a few folks would love to know if they're the same on both engines.
What engine jacks do you use?
Why do I feel like the supercharged 3.0L V6 from the previous generation was generally more reliable and easier to work on. For example: intake cleaning is not an engine out job on the old engine.
Probably sensor will be gone on the motor . Can’t be replaced individually, they only sell it as whole unit -2500£
@@VAGTechnic that’s why they want to say it’s ok 😂 don’t worry they can’t turn me away they will be fixing this no matter the price lool
@@VAGTechnic 100%? Sometimes some odd component parts can be obtained, like the Borg Warner solenoids in the DL501. Just a guess though.

have you tried turning off lane assistant?
Hi, I have a late November 06 Audi Allroad 3.0 TDI 229BHP, just over 81,000 miles, full history. Absolutely no issues. Change the engine oil every 5k, mindful 100k getting closer, what should I be thing about changing, cam chains etc. it’s had the gearbox fluid changed, well I have a bit of paper, but I really don’t know if it has.
Also, do you work on these Audis.
Great posts, as always
Thanks
Paul
I have same Allroad 200k no issues
81k is extremely low miles for that age. Sounds like all is well. Keep eye on coolant quality. Brake fluid fresh. Use Motul Gear 300 or new VW fluid is ok too for gearbox.
@@jamesmedina2062 Hi James, I guess I was lucky to get my Allroad. It hasn’t had kids in it, no tow bar, or dogs.
It’s a shame really as I’m the only one who gets in it. Still has that new car smell.
Interesting you mentioned brake fluid, its going to my friendly Audi main dealer to have the fluid changed, it’s only £77.
I’m going to get the gearbox fluid changed again, then I know it’s been done.
Thanks got the advice
@@paulstansfield8693 Sure bro! I had a Passat Wagon for 14 years which was like the red-headed step-brother of the Audi cars and after so many years my back wished that I had had electric power adjust seats for the many highway miles. Audi are always so nice on the inside. So the brake fluid if you use a good one will give a better brake feel. As long as each corner is bled it helps and use a good fluid like a German brand or Motul RBF600. On these cars Pagid makes excellent pads. Cheers
Maybe links to supplies/parts needed for jobs like this? Otherwise great videos!
We use genuine support ones you can get them at any dealership
Wow such problems with low mileage engines, keeping my BMW with high mileage and no issues🇨🇦
So what was the actual problem with the coolant then , what part was faulty ? Thanks
Heat exchanger for turbo under headlight
как давно видосов не было проблемы какие были а ?
My B9 S4 is having these same problems with 77,000 miles on it, and nobody wants to work on it because of the “risk exposure”
What Tune is on the car that he wouldn't utilize the warranty ?? I heard you say it was under warranty??? BUT obviously it's tuned ? Can you please tell us ?
Tuned car = no warranty
@VAGTechnic I understand that I am very curious because here in the US we see a lot of Issues with 034 tunes but None with APR. Esc with the old RR needle bearings..Do you know what tunes you guys see more issues with ?
I need the name of the song that starts around 13:50

So the rocker arms where fixed in the 3.0t after 2019?
Yes
Ciekawe Ile razy zgubiliście kamerę.
What main issue you see on RS3
Not enough petrol in the tank
So you’re saying that it is a pretty robust platform?
Maybe I missed it but what was the reason for the coolant leak through the intake?
Intake cooler was leaking
Are the transmissions the same or slightly different? I believe the S4/S5 B9's have the ZF 8HP 65A, good for 516ft lbs (700nm) of torque, and the only difference is said to be a smaller and lighter torque converter on the RS5?
Same same

Hey guys, I have a modified b8.5 a5 can I install a sportdiff?
Does the rocker arm bearing failure include U.S.A spec b9 s4?
All of them up to build date June of 2019. The USA ea839 engine is no different.
I am suprised there is so much 'crankcase' pressure release when you take the filler cap's off!!
sounded like a vacuum to me which is a good thing in the crankcase
