I really love this song. I've loved it since I first heard it. So many of Devy's songs create such a cool vibe, but for some reason I appreciate the vibe of this track more than most.
I’ve seen Devin live a few months ago, and it was the most incredible thing.

I feel like the rhythm enforced by the bass guitar and bass drum early in the song makes the guitar in the bridge seem less repetitive. It imprints a pattern over the rest of the track that, even if it's not the prominent element of the music throughout, it's well-enough established that it works as a lens through which you view the rest of the music.
I noticed when listening through this video just now that I was still feeling the rhythm of the opening during the bridge.
