Thanks for the kind words and the nice reaction! And I’m glad you noticed the choked/dry sound of my cymbals! To answer your question, it’s a cymbal-stack that I’m using to create that sound 😁 so basically two cymbals on top of each other (a china-cymbal and an upside-down crash). This creates this kind of full but choked sound. It doesn’t take up too much space and let’s everything else breathe, while still being aggressive.
I found VOLA a couple years ago and instantly loved their chords and vocal harmonies, but am still not very deep into their discography. One song that stands out to me as very different and instantly catchy is "These Black Claws". If you haven't heard it yet it's a must. I recently saw and heard a live version that completely left out the guest vocal parts so I'd recommend the official video for first listen. Like many I subbed because of the Jinjer reactions but it's bands like this that keep me here.
Thanks for introducing me to this band. Don't know why I haven't come across them before - only 18 years late to the party! This is so much my sort of thing. I see another black t-shirt in my imminent future!😄

@@JWSoundworks2i am looking for your video reaction on alip bata cover: On the Floor (J Lo). Have you made it because i cant find it.
I'm glad that you've reacted to Vola. They are a fantastic band and great live.
You're right. These guys check *all* the boxes on my list, including "Can pull this off live."
Seriously. Go see these guys. It'll be worth the trip.
18:26 "Holy Shit" - The single best individual reaction I've ever seen. If ever there was a "holy shit" moment in music, that is it.
Man I fucking love you for the Soilwork comment. Absolutely fuckin' correct.

My favourite part of this song is how in the atmospheric bridge before the breakdown the rhythm is the same as the main riff but slowed down!
Great reaction ! Thank you to make me remember how much I love this band 🤘🏽
VOLA is a very special band. Thank you for this video

Just love this song, the last part of the song reminds me of another band that i love..Sybreed, which seems to fly under the radar by youtubers
This album is just perfect modern metal for me
Hi hat in the beginning is foot chick, then cymbal stack as far as the dry trashy sound.
